[Q] My defy

Hi All
I have Tmobile moto Defy mb525, I tried to get rid of the tmobile logo, I used superoneclick and it works fine, super user then rom manager but i did not find moto defy so i used system recovery, i tried to update it form zip file but the device hangs, after many tries the phone dies, now i installed another tmobile rom and it works again
and this is the new infos, the question can i install any other roms or tmobile rom is my destiny?
Yes, you can. Just update to 3.4.2-155 for Barebones, Xd1, JBoogie3 LiquidArc/BluelessGinger or 3.4.3-11 for Pays 5.1.
But i don't know if you can go back to stock 2.1, if you already has flashed a full SBF.
Thanks for your help, no prb if I cannot downgrade it

Wich one do you use/prefer. I flashed Barebones, Pays and xd1. So far my favorite is xd1.
Flashed JBoogie's BlurGinger today (based on Froyo Korea), and it's ****ing awesome! Even with blur, it's the most amazing rom i have ever seen. But i flashed today, then my I can be wrong
Will use it this week and see...
talking about best ROM..

Rite now ur on which ROM?
MIUI has too much BUGs right now, CM7 is the best ROM for Defy.
BUT, with time, i think MIUI can be the most used, since they do a great job modding, theming, and developing their own apps.
CM7 has bugs regarding wifi and brightness. I'm currently on 177-005 nordic with Defy Cool&Clean MOD by trinacre, and I must say it's quite fast and stable. Scored a 1250 on Quadrant.

[Q] Which Rom Should I choose????

Hi all,
i bought this phone 3 day ago and my phone has rooted+custom recovery
i want to ask :which rom should i choose for the best performance ,stability and playing game well.
thanks all
Hi.
I prefer the devoid rom+franco kernel, because of the stability and good battery life.
If you want gingerbread use CM7 Rom. I didn't liked it very much, because it drained my battery (but i think this problem is just with my phone, don't know really if everybody have this issue.)
Openoptimus is good too, but i used it for a very short time.
Go for
Hypnos2+Francos v15 kernel+zram
BEST...!!!
Is this the same as the lg thrive?

Try devoid.franco ROM + franco kernel (v14 for battery performance) and overclock @ 480min 748max. If you're not so intersted in battery life flash v15 kernel and use interactive governor for excellent performance.
If you really want stability try using only 2.2 ROMs.

which is the best rom for ace for battery???

hi any one which is the best rom for ace for long battery life??please thank u
I can say that it certainly isnt FirstUA rom, but I do use it because it's good overall. Calibrated the battery 3 times (and discharged/recharged), battery consumption still high.
Right now, it's definitely the official firmware releases.
KPN, KPJ, KPL, KPE.
Every custom ROM or modified ROM I tried, all drains battery fast.

certainly the oficial roms are the best regarding battery life (not so long though)
i tried almost every custom rom , and i can tell u that till now the best i have is coderom v2 b2 , better battery life (still less than the oficial) and best performance and stability. i love it!
KPH and coderom2x are the best in battery backup, and I think coderom is even slightly better

Do you live in a 4g area and make use of it? Go with MOF's rom.
Do you not care/use 4g but value complete stability and amazing battery life? Go with 2.3.5 Hybrid or CM7
Do you like to be on the bleeding edge but can handle some slight bugs and stability issues? Go with a Jelly Bean based ROM. CNA would be my recommendation as it seems to be the most stable and has the best battery life of the bunch.
i will try 2.3.5 Hybrid
but i found many links which link i download the rom
my bootloader is unlocked
do i have to install KERNEL and ADDON ?

Kernel is included, addons are not necessary.
CM10 is the best. 4G is pointless so avoid all stock roms. They are not any good.
i am not using 4g
is cm10 stable ?

You think HybridRom isn't any good?
It's brilliant work in mine and many others opinion. CM10 is damn good and what I run as my daily, but you can't deny that at it's current iteration, there are still a few issues that don't exist within stockbased roms.
can you give me the cm10 link to try it ?
can i use cdma with this rom ?

Just go to Photon Android Development section and click on cm10.... Again, i would suggest CNA JB or AOKP JB over cm10 right now. CM10 hasnt been updated as frequently as the rest and has more bugs.

Getting started with installing custom ROM

Hello everyone,
I have recently rooted my SGS2
using CF root.
Replace the Stock kernal with siyah 4.1.5
Then currently i am on stock ROM
slimICS.
HOw to keep the thread alive....
share your experience of Custom ROM which you are using.
Pros and Cons of the ROM...
Report any Bug..
We can then submit the issue to corresponding Thread or developer..
It is really your choice when it comes to deciding on a ROM.
A few things to consider, the JB 4.1.1 ROMs are available but not stable yet. So if you want to try the latest and greatest and don't mind the odd crash and random reboot it allows you the opportunity to report back your findings and assist in that way with development.
If stability is your concern, then you certainly want to go with an ICS ROM. CM9 is pretty stable as a recommendation.
As you mentioned earlier you could also dual boot to experience both. Just a few pros and cons for you to help in decision.
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Ok, I'm here if you need me :good:
I booted RR 2.7 ICS version on 2 nd ROM
and after 2 hours booted 3.8 RR JB version..
is it safe to flash ROMs too fast??
I mean back to back??
Theres no limit to the number of ROMs you flash in a day
Only make sure your battery is above 60% atleast before you flash a ROM, or anything for that matter.

Hey Manubr,
few dayz back i was also having the same question
should i try JB too ??..
ok so here is the answer.
JB ROMs are not stable since it has some memory leak issue.
It wil not be resolved till Samsung officially launch JB for SGS2.(will have to wait for stable version)
But CM10 team is trying to resolve infact minimize the issue and get the best JB ROM...
you can check there 30 sep nightly build...
Which i have installed it...
I m having SlimICS ROM1
and CM10 ROM 2..
