Using any third party calendar app (Pocket Informant, Business Calendar, Calendar Pad etc) to ad an event to my Exchange calendar it never syncs up with Exchange.
If I use the stock calendar app to create an event, it syncs. If I use a third party app to delete the event, the delete syncs. If I edit the event in a third party app, the edit syncs.
Just the creation never syncs.
Was using HomeBase ROM, then We Dream and now NottachTrix (All Versions) and the symptom is evident in all of them.
Anyone else exerience this issue?

One of my colleagues just got an android, and needs a calendar app with weekly reminders for a recurring event, e.g. tuition for one of the kids.
Does anyone know of such a calendar app, preferably free? I believe there are separate apps that can do that, but I believe she would prefer the reminder to be built into the calendar app.
TIA.
Has ur friend checked out the stock calendar app? you can set each event to either reoccur weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly I believe.... look at the options.
I would like to try Android without GAPPS, and now I am looking for a calendar app which does not rely on the Google Calendar.
This is not an issue of using the built-in calendar app without syncing to Google, but the use of Android without even using a Google account.
Can anyone recommend a suitable app, if it even exists?
i use biz calender that lets you sync with any account google, microsoft, yahoo ect
I like Pocket Informant.
I forgot to mention, I don't really want to sync the calendar at all, but just want to use it on the phone.
The calendar should be able to handle normal appointments, birthdays and anniversaries with reminders in advance, a nice desktop widget would be nice as well.
Any more ideas?
Since google is stopping support for the exchange option for gmail (unless you pay for hosted email / google premium services). what are other options to get email, contacts and calendar without using separate protocols like mail (imap, smtp, pop3), calendar (caldav), and contacts (cardav) ?
Of course if you use the gmail app, it's not an issue, but for users that like the separate email apps (like the htc email app) , this could be an inconvenience. I do not believe setting up a 3rd party email app using the Google protocol uses push email).

*** I've been testing a mixed sync of google for contacts and calendar and exchange for email (my email is being domain at gmail) and contacts and calendar work fine. No real solution for push mail as of yet, and imap is too slow
I use a 3rd party calendar and would like to remove the stock calendar with green/white icon...
as long as deleting the file won't stop syncing to google calendar service.
there's no /system/app/calendar.apk or similarly named.
Does anyone know which apk is it?
I configured a new account to sync my work email and calendar. This results in me being able to use the stock email app, as email syncs fine, but only some calendar entries are synced. I've tried clearing the cache/data, deleting and setting up the account again, to no avail.
If I use a mail client like Touchdown or Nine, that apparently have their own EAS sync engines, then the calendar does sync fully.
What I'm looking for is an app that just provides the EAS service, that would allow me to use the stock email and calendar apps, but I can only find those mentioned above that also have email clients (and calendar for Touchdown) integrated with them.
I'm on a rooted Nexus 4.4.2
tia
