Asus Padfone is coming out & it is shown with a stylus so I wonder if
1.they have done some sort of software offering that might be available that can improve stylus use for us and
2.what their stylus will be like and if it is even theirs?
You can see it

It's probably just a generic bluetooth headset shaped into a case that doubles as a stylus. Even if it is compatible with any other device, I still wouldn't use it as it defeats the whole purpose of using bluetooth in the first place!
You use bluetooth so you don't have to hold your phone to your ear and/or to listen to music without headphone wires getting in the way, right? so why switch holding your phone to your ear for holding your stylus instead? While at the same time losing your ability to listen to music to boot (even if it's capable, the sound quality would be crappy without an ear bud!) And on top of that, what if you need to take notes from the call you're using your stylus to listen in on...?
It's cute, but I wouldn't trade my S305 or my LG Tone or my PX5's for it. Honestly Asus... -facepalm-
Personally I love the idea. For people who needs to use one they could always buy a proper headset. A stylus-headset is very useful if you are just playing/working with your tablet and you can easily take a call without needing to fiddle with a bluetooth or wired headset.
What I don't like about the Padfone though is how they are using a generic capacitive stylus rather than a proper electro-magnetic resonance stylus. That's pretty much a deal breaker for me. (Unless the Atmel Maxstylus turns out to work on it) Now we have the Galaxy Note 10.1 coming out with a proper stylus but I just love Asus's keyboard dock way too much. Decisions, decisions.

I was wondering if anyone has one or if they have seen/heard one. My girlfriend wants a USB cradle for her Wizard and as it is only £4 more than just a cradle I thought "why not?". What I am interested in is the speaker quality for listening to music arround the house (away from the gooooood speakers). I don't think it would be a waste of money either way as it is still a cradle even if the speakers are absolute cricket droppings.
If I do get one I'll post an update, it looks likely though.
I've been looking to get my hands on something like that as well. Only places I've seen it so far have been outside of the US. If someone ever carries it in the US, I'm going to be all over it.. Would make for a nice radio replacement at my desk..
Expansys opperates in the US under the name of Mobileplanet, I've not had any issues with them in the UK and all orders have been prompt and problem free.
I found a review:

Only cons are low volume... I'll have to see...
Bummer on the low volume.. Also noticed that the 8125 doesn't fit.. Looks like I'm out of luck for now.. Nuts..
If you have some polycement (melts and re-sets plastics) you could remould the dock section to fit, it is only slightly different shape. You'd need some setting putty to make a cast of the bottom of the Wiza100 then you case the cast to get a wiza100 shaped lower part. you place polycement in the regions that don't match (may require some dissasembly of the cradle) and gently push to change the shape... Would probably make a mess so nvm... LOL
Speaker cradle
Yeah , it looks good , but there's one that looks even better and fits the cingular 8125 !!! But $ 40 is a bit too much to spend on something that'll not work on it's own , well .........

What about this cradle I found at BargainCell: http://www.bargaincell.com/product_11268_1201.html
Anybody find a decent speaker/dock system for the Gtab? Something like this:
http://the-gadgeteer.com/2010/11/15/jensen-jips-250i-ipad-speaker-dock/
We're not likely see anything like that for the g tablet unfortunately: there just isn't a large enough user base for mainstream accessory manufacturers to be interested.
Welcome to life on the fringes.
Funny, i was at Target thinking the same thing. I saw this same item and had hoped I could find some thing similar for the GTab.
I wish the basic dock had audio out. I was thinking about leaving the dock and a set of PC speakers here in my office. Not as elegant, but effective.
Get hdmi speakers.

I said the same thing a while back but found pricier speakers that used hdmi in the end.
Has anybody tried using some portable bluetooth speakers with the Gtab?
These look interesting. I'm not really looking for a booming system. Just want something I can take on vacation to enhance the stock, internal speakers.

look for a set of good quality PC speakers. Sound is great and they are fairly small.
Just ordered one of these:

Let us know how those Altec Lansings work. I'm curious about having a portable speaker system that I can take on trips as well.
Will do. In the meantime, here's the video that convinced me to give it a shot. The price isn't bad at all either - just $25 shipped.

Creative has a portable bluetooth speaker: D100
http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-D100-Portable-Bluetooth-Wireless-Speaker/M/B003N9SR00.htm
I have the Creative D200 and the Creative ZiiSound D5 which are both excellent.
I also use the Belkin stereo bluetooth dongle which works well:

That bluetooth dongle looks pretty sweet. Any complaints about the range on it?

annoying for this is exactly what i'd like!
Would this not work with the Vega in Host Mode?
I got one of these for my Advent Vega from Amazon for £16.99 delivered. It's OK. Regarding the comments made earlier:-
Problems:
"--Pin chassis, right, blocks the usb and HMDI, (with scissors and cut it to plug the usb). For there is no solution HMDI."
I guess u can cut the lug off but I didnt. Instead I bent back the right hand lug (which is designed to secure the tablet in the case) and put a little velcro on the back of the unit and the case to keep the Vega in place.
"--The keyboard does not work (The solution is to plug a hub)"
My keyboard works fine, although it took me some time to figure out why it didnt work from the off. Being a newbie to android, I didn't understand the usb host / slave stuff and there may have been another complication. I had to check the modaco forum to figure out what to do.
"Advantages:
--10$"
Damn. I paid nearly double that!
"at the end he finished in a forgotten drawer."
I like the case and use it now and then. However I primarily wanted the keyboard for use when travelling to enable me to edit word documents and the like (i.e using the Vega as a laptop/netbook substitute) which is when this particular case comes in handy. Mostly I use my Vega in pure tablet form so I normally keep it in a regular 10" protective sleeve.

Found this on amazon looks pretty good and has good reviews but im not sure it will work as its sound comes from the usb port.
Anyone tried anything similar?
My guess would be that you could use the USB connection to provide power but not sound. It does seem to have an aux input so you could connect the TF headphone jack to that with a mini stereo to mini stereo cord.

Don't know about the z305 but I bought the logitech tablet speaker while it was on sale and it was sufficent but not as loud and bassy as the diamond mini rockers http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-MSP100B-Rockers-Mobile-Speakers/dp/B002JM1V78
The logitech tablet speaker is supposed to clip on like those z305s, but i'm guessing because its designed for the ipad, it doesn't hold as well as it should because the pads on the speaker are not contoured for the transformer.

On the front the pads and the clip is curved, and only the tip of it is coming in contact with the tablet. One final note: with normal laptops the keyboard half is usually heavier than the screen so the whole thing resists tipping even with a speaker clipped on to it, but in the case of the transformer both halves seem to weigh about the same to the touch, so be careful if you have that thing on there and you have it opened to a precarious angle, i've had to catch the thing as it almost tipped over from a slight bump more times than i care for.
i just read on a post about usb hosts that the sound bar z305 doesnt work through usb but there is a 3.5mm jack on it to connect it to the headphone socket.
not sure on sound quality but it gets good reviews.
looks ghetto, just get a jawbone jambox. 10 hours via Bluetooth

can you take some pictures of how it looks to the transformer?
Most people who want an armband want it for running, biking, etc., where they won't pull the phone out during their event. However, I need an armband for hiking because I use my Razr Maxx as a GPS (using offline maps and the ViewRanger app). It's never going to be acceptable for me to try to use it while it's in the armband, because I would not be able to see it well enough, much less manipulate the GPS program. I need a safe, secure pocket for the phone from which I can pull out the phone dozens or hundreds of times over the course of the day. I don't wear shirts with pockets while hiking and even if I did, the straps of my backpack would interfere with getting in the pocket. I want something that will let me keep my phone on my bicep so it will have a good sky-view and it's easy to pull out.
Any suggestions?
Saw one at best buy close to what you are looking for. Its neoprene and made for large phones. The neoprene should make it easy to pull out and put back. You'll have to look it up or just go to the store and ask as I'm not too sure who makes it or what its called.

Tell me what you end up getting, Id like one for when riding my bike alot, keeping it closer to my bluetooth headphones would be nice to stop the audio cut outs. Also then the screen would be easy for me to look at and change a song when riding
Also let me know how adjustibe the armband is, im kinda really skinny and my biceps arent that big
Here is one...
Just in case, here is the one I purchased and have been using at the gym and when riding my bike.
