LG Home Port? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I really loved the LGHome Launcher on The LG Nitro HD/LG Thrill 3D both were about the same. Any Chance of getting it ported or working? I tried just loading it but never would install OR show up even after putting it in System/app

BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not gonna happen bro, sorry. Not enough interest for a complete rework so it'll work on the note. Ur best bet would check out all the aftermarket launchers n find one u like...

There's an LG Launcher apk out there, I have it but can't seem to attach it... it's not 100% working of course... just Google it, it should come up.

I cant google it. The ONLY LGHome Launcher that comes up is OLD from the old optiumus and in which will not work properley cause of the screen size on the note compaired to the SMALL size its made for.
Looking for the one from the Nitro HD or Thrill 3d

Might want to try going to LG Nitro forum and asking for the APK there then try to work it to work on the Note I doubt it will but prove me wrong alot of people do

I tried. Just force closes.

I've played with that launcher and in my opinion it is inferior to touchwiz, adw ex or go. My wife has it on her thrill. Just doesn't feel like its here to please me...like adw.

It would be nice if it worked though. I'd like something better than a 320x240 in my x10 mini but I didn't expect it to be possible anyway.

It would be nice. Or i can find someone who does the job.
Why would you want a different screen than what is on the S2? I dont know of another mobile device that has a better looking screen than our, or one thats really even that is close to a sharp!!!
Idk. Just not Hd like the iphone. Still it is alright...

Put them side by side and you'll see that while the iPhone wins for resolution and clarity, the SGS2 far exceeds it with contrast and colors.
Tottaly agree... I don't see the point in replacing the screen anyway what do you need that high of a resolution for anyway?

Should have waited for the nexus or went with LG's 720p res phone. Also i work with a lot of iphone fanboys and not one yet has said they like their screen over mine
Screen Adjuster app lets you change red green blue plus contrast and brightness. I use it and it works well.
I use LCD Resolution app. Tw launcher isn't compatible but launcher pro and go launcher works great!

Samsung phones are highly proprietary and don't respond well to changes. Even using a non OEM battery can cause problems in some cases. What don't you like about the display? I think its pretty nice.

It's a great app. I bought it ages ago. But it is very RAM heavy and I'm not sure if I prefer it over sense (I tend to go back and forth from time to time). The slider is really cool though.

U want to post some screens of your setup and help sell that way overpriced launcher? I'm using the paid version of SS launcher, and I also have ADW EX, so buying the apps aren't a problem, the launcher just seems confusing and cluttered and the screens don't explain its functionality... I've always been curious, but have never heard of anyone that owns this...
If not, no big deal... I'm just curious...

[Q] Would YOU drop Sense 4 for a fully working stockish Jellybean ROM?

...or would you wait for the official HTC Sense Jellybean? -- which is WHO KNOWs when
Dropping Sense has been my first wish for every sense phone i've owned.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
I would stop everything I was doing and immediately flash that bad boy. Not a second thought.

As I love the camera software on this phone, I am not sure I would want to lose Sense camera
I ran Cyanogen on my OG Evo... but I have really come to appreciate much of what sense has to offer.
I think that between Car Mode, Camera App and Dialer (all of which I use every day) I could not stray away from sense for very long. I know that there are 3rd party apps that emulate what sense can do but they really aren't up to the level that sense is.
I would definitely flash it to check it out but I'm pretty sure I would return to sense in short order. I hope that the official HTC Jellybean / Sense combination will be as awesome as I think it can be.
Deck already has cm10 booting, so give it a week or two. Check the cm thread for the video.

What features of the dialer do you like? If it is the "T9" aspect of it, you can definitely get that elsewhere. If I'm not mistaken, CM7 had that before Sense did.

I definitely don't dislike CM... I just like the functionality of sense (beyond the widgets). I feel the dialer is just laid out better in sense - easier to navigate (for me). It is the lesser of all the things that I mentioned but something I noticed nonetheless.

Sense 5 why and why not

This is dedicated to us phone freaks who love Android and flash till we can't flash anymore. Do you like sense 4 or 5 or just aosp? I'm running 5 and love it little to no issues. What have y'all experienced good or not so much. I know our device is up to get the update and can't wait. So in summary yea or nay sense 5

I have been a die-hard AOSP fan for quite a while. But, this sense 5 ROM has been on my phone for quite a while now,...I'm surprised. I kind of don't like the phone UI cuz it just seems awkward to navigate and see what you wanna see. I do like that HTC went back to vertical scroll in the app drawer. I hate when my desktop and drawer scroll the same way,..confuses me lol. I like the distinction.

Tried sense 5 for a few days, then back to viper. I really like blinkfeed and the new widgets, but not enough customization options yet. Not a fan of the 3 button menu or app and folder names on my homescreen. There may be a way to disable them but havent found a way yet.
I actually really love the Sense 5 Rom, but I'm sticking to RootBox until they fix a few small issues (mainly the music duplication issue that annoys me beyond extent)

Only Thing that kills it for me is the camera, i cant stand the fact that if i hold down the camera button too long and it goes to burst mode that t freeze and the fact that the gallery doubles all stored photos. They fix those two things and ill be all over it again
