Is it possible to have app or functionality like Galaxy Note on Samsung vibrant?
I mean on any running app ,visually one can write or draw something and share with gmail or facebook ,email etc
I am not sure about drawing on top of another app, but you could always just take a screenshot and then edit that image by writing on it? Not ideal... but would work.

That sounds like a really cool feature...the Galaxy Note might actually have a worthwhile purpose other than to make the user look ridiculous after all.

The Note is actually one of my fav devices by Samsung right now. LOTS of potential there. People need to get over the size factor. I am 6'6'' and it looks normal in my hands... I can use it with one hand. It has the real estate to do work on, real work.

Motorolla doesn't use TouchWiz. Its always been "Blur" unless something crazy just happened.
I have used TouchWiz a lot of SGS2 my buddy has. I have the 3Vo.
TouchWiz is balls compared to Sense. Yeah it might be a little more light weight but SO much isn't there.
It doesn't combine your contacts from google, facebook, tango, MS Exchange and your phone very well at ALL! If it does it sure is difficult to figure out. I work on my buddies and it just duplicated everything.
TouchWiz exchange integration is non-existent. For buisness users this is a HUGE must. My people app from sense and email have BB level integration. I start typing an email addy and it auto-searches for HISTORY (awesome like outlook), my exchange server and on my phone. Global Address Book integration...not present in TouchWiz. Wow...so now i have to add 200 contacts for work onto my phone if I want to use them? Not going to happen.
The leap feature is really poorly implemented, hard to get to "leap"...not a big deal though we dont use it that much in Sense really.
It wasn't as smooth when navigating. More robotic.... transitions sucked. You can add Launcher Pro or ADW though
Widgets sucked too...compared to sense.
People, Email, Calendar- suck compared to Sense
NOW I'm a business user so email, agendas, calendar notifications are a BIG deal to me as a consultant.
That being said, their facebook integration (see peoples pictures when they call you and people widget pics) sucked as well. Sense does a real good job of putting everything together automatically and linking everything. Consolidation is HUGE when you have all of these accounts. With Sense you don't even realize how good of a job this does.
That being said, again, SGS2 is a phenominal phone. It really is. The screen is fantastic (little cartoony though) and its a bit faster that EVO 3d at some stuff. I just depend on my phone for too much "Black berry" stuff to ever get away from Sense. Yeah there are third party apps for everything but odds are you have to pay for them (touchdown) and they don't integrate everything together NEARLY as well as Sense does.

Touchwiz is Samsungs own half-assed attempt to leave their own branding on Android as HTC does with Sense. The major differences are that Sense is both somewhat attractive and adds functionality, Touchwiz..... well, is ugly and doesn't work well at all.
Ha... Now sone input from someone who actually has a touchwiz phone XD. I also have an hd2 with sense 3 on it. First off, Touchwiz is hands down the slickest implementation of a skin on Android. By no means is it the most feature filled(I would argue the worst..), but with that said, it's so lightweight. It let's you customize you're homescreen in a more user friendly manner than everything out there and has a neat motion zoom control. The slide down task bar is more eye friendly and simple than sense, but lacks features. Same with the lockscreen. If you're looking for slicker and lightweight environment (a relief from imo bogged down sense in too many ways), get a Samsung phone. I saw you mention the Note... and if so, I've read nothing but amazing reviews of the thing. It's in a class of it's own. Don't expect any quick updates though.
Also, a user by the name of fr4ggor released Touchwiz 4.5(customizable version of tw4.) You could try it to get a 'sense'(ha) of what Touchwiz is about. (though reports of it being faulty for screens other than 800x480.)
Samsung makes generally superior internals(processor, screen, even camera..) and crazy light weight construction and software. You sacrifice build quality though.

My friend went from his galaxy to a sensation and much prefers sense over touchwiz. Only complaint he has for his HTC over his Samsung is the speaker.

Touchwiz is more like a custom ROM. Lightweight, fast, smooth, no bloatware and full of tweaks for performance and benchmarking.
Sense on the otherhand is more like a retail ROM. Stuffed with features to satisfy everyone. But it has a lot of blowtwarE. UI is smooth but not as smooth as touchwiz.
Think of it this way. Touchwiz is like windows xp. Fast light but lacks special features.
Sense 3.0 is like windows vista. Drastic UI change but disappointingly slow.
Sense 3.5 is like windows 7. Good UI and fast.

Hello everyone,
For like 2 year now I still have iPhone 3G which was very relaxing (but now slow) so when I thought of update I thought about getting Android
So I got the Galaxy S2, It's a great phone with great hardware but I really guys dont know what exactly to tell you or what to say
but I find iPhone way more relaxing than Android and I really can't tell why
maybe the colors maybe the design of the android it self I really dont know
even though a lot of apps are available and everything is customizable but still
something is wrong for me and I dont know what it is, the motion and effects of the iphone are smoother or just better and gives you this great feeling and its not what it is on android
Also the keyboard, even though my screen is 4.3 inches and the keyboard is larger but I find that iPhone's keyboard is better it just feels good
My hope is very high with ICS 4 that Google would take care of UI and UX better than that, also organizing everything to make it easier or something
I know I'm not accurate but I just wanted to tell you guys to tell me what you really think and if its me only or everyone and also if you have a solution for this
Thanks

Iphone uses a very high resolution IPS LCD screen ("retina" is just a fancy marketing word for that), not AMOLED based like the Samsung phones (thus color reproduction will not be the same). If you don't like the default colors, try another theme (system themes require root to change, launcher themes do not).

Try a different launcher. Something like Go Launcher is pretty close the iphone. If that's not enough, try the MIUI ROM (requires root) for your phone if you haven't. MIUI is as close as you will get period to having an iphone while still having an android phone.

Try another keyboard than the one the phone comes with (such a swype or swiftkey)? Generally the stock keyboard sucks.
Most iphone users that just start on android are not aware of the many replacement options (or if they are, they're not aware of specific ones that would solve their issues).
There's a saying that goes something like "If one is given infinite choices, some people will never be happy (since that they will forever think there is something better than what they currently have), but if one is told what choices they have, then they just grin and bear it, because that's all there is."
First thanks for your reply
but I already have Go Launcher and its okay for now
but actually I would like to install MIUI but I have a problem, I dont have a SD Card on my Galaxy S2 its just the internal memory so is there's anyway to install it without SD Card just using the internal memory ?
in both ways I will wait for android 4 I read about it and its really interesting that Google noticed that they have issues with their UI and I hope they solved this issue

Funny you say that, you think Samsung is worried about additional legal battles with the litigious Apple if they include this Movie Maker app in the US market (like the physical home button issue)?
I'd appreciate a better understanding of the rationale behind all these differences between the SGNote models.
I'd heard a rumor that this missing Movie Maker app as well as missing screen mode may not run well on the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 hardware hence they were removed but the rumor remains totally uncorroborated..

I would LOVE to adjust the display settings, the colors need to come way down. Most people love that colors POP but being oversaturated is such a turn off for me. I didnt even know you could adjust on any phone
I WANT THIS FEATURE!
It could have been an issue with the different processor/GPU in the LTE version versus the International. Maybe they could get the apps to play nice with their own internals but couldn't get them to work right with Qualcomm's?

I agree. Some colors, like the cnn.com red header seem over saturated and neon.
But I still love my Note. Setting up my old iPhone4 for my daughter as an iPod and the screen was soooo small. I felt like a toy. No way I could go back.

Disappointing, that Video maker app for the SGNote added an easy mobile way for some mediated / augmented reality post video editing with the S-Pen.. another reason to get the international Galaxy Note GT-N7000 if you can live without LTE & can afford paying the unsubsidized but contractless price.

Well the international Galaxy Note GT-N7000 has it now, not sure if the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 will get ever get it.
When I checked out the SGNote in an AT&T store on its release date the Samsung rep was there & I asked him where screen mode & the Video Maker app were & he sadly did not know what I was talking about but I was hoping XDA could get it working from the N7000 but perhaps it's incompatible with the I717 hardware.
I told him I was going to wait at least until after MWC before deciding on my upgrade & I mentioned Samsung should also announce the Galaxy Note 10.1 there which he acknowledged but said he will not get to play with the 10.1 until he is there next week & he said he's had the AT&T Galaxy Note I717 for over a month.
I'd started a thread back in December regarding SAMOLED's unnatural colors vs IPS' more natural colors & while I of course would also like to have screen mode options like I do on my Samsung TVs , it didn't seem to bother me on the SGNote higher res screen like it does on lower res SAMOLED but I'll have to check it out again.
I'm eager to hear about MWC news & the Samsung Galaxy III & even curious about what Ubuntu will present as many Android devices could more easily become full desktop functional PCs when wanted as well.
I just tried to install the VideoEditor apk on my rooted note and the installation failed... I hope someone finds a way to install it on our Notes...
Samsung confirms its absence is due to chipset incompatabilites:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wcoW7sh-FBk#t=253s
Can anyone recommend a comparable app?
There's new button on navigation bar called MW-button. When it is long pressed a new screen appears that is split in two. Each having an application drawer where all applications can be scrolled. On clicking an application, it appears in the split view on that side.
Would love for Paranoid Android to have MultiWindow but the developers involved have stated a few times that Multi Window won't be implemented.
I love this mock up! wish it can come true
This can be done with Xposed and the XMultiWindow module.
Or xhalo floating windows, also an xposed module, mostly works a treat.
The Nexus 5, like the Nexus 4, is based off of another LG phone, right? Namely the G2, as the N4 was based on the Optimus G. And people have been porting the Split Window feature from the Flex to the G2 since they're essentially the same phone, so is it possible to port over again?
I like the idea but I won't implement it till it can be proven that haven't two apps are useful while using only half the screen.
Let's assume that another app is only one click away. Under want circumstances would having two apps at be useful understanding that you can see half the content you usual do are useful? For most apps I have found the screen size to be small for two applications especially while utilizing the keyboard. There is simple not enough space for two applications . Until this can be proven more useful than having a temporary mini application then it won't be supported in PA.

I use multi-window a lot on galaxy note 8. If you are learning a new language you will find it invaluable. In fact any ROM without multi-window capability is unsuitable for a tablet.
I feel like this feature is far more relevant with the Nexus 6 in the game...

Hello there!
Please, can anyone tell me if it is possible to change to look of my S5 device, to look like an S4 on KitKat?
My first Andorid phone was the Galaxy S3 because I was in love with TouchWiz. I dislike the way stock Android looks.
I was not a Samsung fan, previously I had a Samsung Omnia because I liked the design and being a Microsoft fan, I bought it, but never liked TouchWiz there... I imediately disabled it and left the default Windows Mobile look. When Microsoft went to Windows Phone 7 and so, I've cosidered going to Andorid. I don't like Apple because all icons follows the same square rounded pattern. I like the icons to be different like on Microsoft Windows, so not all icons to be in a circle or square, or other geometric form.
When I bought the S5 I was a little dissapointed because the TouchWiz was changing into bad lookings but with Lollipop... awwwww!
I dislike the new Contacts App with those small circles for pictures... Sincerelly I love my wife S4 i9506. I've decided not to upgrade her to Lollipop, to make her phone uglly like mine.
So, is there a possiblility to run a version of Lollipop or KitKat on S5 while having a look of an S4? Even if the menu and home keys will behave like they normaly do on S5.
Thank you!
Mods and cyanogen while using themes. There is not other way
Bad taste
A taste is a taste. Well, if it happens that you like Sotck Android, then, you may have a "bad taste" Come on! Every people I talked with, having a Galaxy S5, don't like the way Lollipop looks at all.

Are you more familiar or wanted to have Apple products? I dislike Lollopop becuase black used to look better on amoled displays. Other things that I'm not likeing on Lollipop are those bright colors, the white baground when opening calls, having no button delimiters on phonedialer and the most anyoing one for me... the Contacts app which have those small circled pictures. Oh... let's say being clircles, let's say ok, even if I still don't like the ideea, but they are too small on Samsung firmware. They are a little bigger on let's say LG G3s.
Anyway, no matter what you say... S4 on KitKat looks A LOT BETTER than the Lollipop UGLYNESS!
I'm on Lollipop from January but I cannot accept its stupid GUI. Well, I'm a graphic designer, I know that these days we've embraced this flat, simple ugly things that Microsoft started with Windows 8 and Google and others followed their stupidity with "Material Design"
