Hi,
Im new here at the forums but i know a thing or 2 about android (i hope so).
Anyways i have a problem with a phone i bought from pandawill,
My problem is that this phone comes with some kind of skin which looks and works like apple's IOS, but inside its android 2.3.4
How can i change this damn ROM to regular android or at least one that supports Hebrew Locale? i have no clue.
I've searched the internet but i keep coming short because its a china phone and not a branded one so im not sure what to do.
some info about the phone:
Baseband Version: MAUI.11AMD.W11.19.SP.V1.P3,2011/08/09 14:12
Product version: 0502B020_I04SMC_BC16_IND
Build number: ALPS.GB.FDD2.MP.V1
CPU: MTK6513
Hope someone could shed some light for me on this phone.
Thanks in Advance,
Eddie.

Ok, I know this is gonna sound stupid cuz it's probably posted all over this site. Problem is I'm new here and everyone is using terms I'm not familiar with. So here it is; I need help debranding my phone and updating to Android 2.1 or higher if possible. It's an AT&T branded Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a. Here's wut the screen shows when I do the whole "menu + back" button combo thing:

So there's all that fun stuff that I don't understand but apparently alot of people on here do. If I can get some step-by-step instructions on what to do, it should be helpful. I've tried searching high and low for help and people are giving me links to threads that have helpful instructions but thing is they were posted back in August and some even before that. Software has been greatly updated since then, that's where I usually run into a roadblock. So if anyone can help me, it's the people on this site because you guys come highly recomended. Thanks in advance.

welcome to XDA
unfortunately I have to start with a "lecture", there are certain threads (tutorials, questions,...) on this subject, which you should have searched for, read and used for posting your problems (in case no answer is forthcoming) instead of actually opening a new one.
apart from that it's not actually dev related but q&a, so it's the wrong sub-forum as well, I will move it for you
next time, ok?
so first of all check the reference thread in dev section, you will find a link for a debranding tutorial there
then check these search result for additional details on the subject and repeat that for the update you intend to do
hopefully that already answers your question
Best, DK

Hint: It is a sticky!! You can't miss it!!
I've just bought an Atrix here in Australia that was sourced from Kogan and I was wondering what software upgrade options are available for this particular model. I was hoping to get an official build of 2.3.4 running, but from what I've read, that won't be possible (note that Kogan have no idea how to upgrade it even though they list it as "upgradeable to 2.3"). So my question is, what would I need to do to be able to run a 2.3.4 based rom, if anything?
Below is the basic device info...
System version: Version.4.4.23.MB860.Vodafone.en.EU
Model number: MB860
Android version: 2.2.2
Baseband version: N_01.95.00R
I've also had some problems enabling 3G data on the Australian Telstra NextG network (tired all the possible APN configurations), but that's an unrelated problem at the moment.
Coming from a Huawei Ideos X5 and before that a HTC Magic, the world of the Motorola Atrix seems a little confusing to me. So any help is much appreciated.
Cheers
Kogan Atrix 4G - Upgrade to Gingerbread
astro_beta
sorry to get your hopes up, this is not an answer.
I am merely in the same situation and received my Kogan issue Atrix 4G today and would like to upgrade to an official release, as I am confident in my own ability about rooting the device.
I was hoping to find on the internet if the ATT upgrade would work on all MB860 models but nothing so far.
Cheers,
gpknox
Bump. I bought this from a German seller on eBay and I have the exact device info. I would like to upgrade to Gingerbread. Who do we have to bug to get an official update, Vodafone?
Is it possible that *shudder* an update will never come out?
Guys,
I'm struggling to find solid information on whether it is possible to upgrade my phone to Gingerbread. Can anyone help? Below are my phone's vitals:
System version: Version.4.1.120.ME860.ChinaRetail.en.CN
Model number: MB860
Android version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: N_01.77.05P
Motorola webtop version: OSHWT_U1_4_257.14
Build number: ITFunz_2.2.1_CN_Eclipse_Beta3
Looks like you have a ROM with Chinese origin (I believe it's based on AT&T U4_1.5.2 with Chinese translation). Why don't you ask in Chinese android forums? e.g. http://bbs.mfunz.com/ and bbs.gfan.com
Unfortunately my Mandarin is not very good. I'm in Australia but my phone came from China. I was hoping someone else might have came across the same issue.
since yours is ME860, most likely it's an international Atrix phone. You can try "Fruit Cakes" in the development section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
there's a HKTW version probably you can use.
Hello everyone,
I address your genius to tell me if anyone knows the baseband MAUI.11AMD.W11.37.SP.V17.F1, 2012/03/14 4:54 p.m. on the phone is Chinese Star galaxy i9220
My problem is that you just made me a gift this phone but the google market is asia version and no way to install the android market European instead, so I will have wanted to extract the rom, the change by changing the android market and then reinject it into the phone, or if it can work, put a rom CyanogenMod without changing the baseband but the unlocking.
I swim a little there because I know the whole procedure but only on sony xperia x10.
If anyone can help me it would be really nice.
