Trying to find a way to get the WidgetClock that runs with NoattachTrix, GingerMod roms and i think most blur based roms to work on CM7 or CM9 roms, I have looked for the apk files and this is all i can find
com.motorola.widgetapp.worldclock.tar.gz
com.motorola.widgetapp.worldclock.apk
com.gusya.android.dockclock-20120227-230831.tar.gz
com.gusya.android.dockclock-20120227-230831.properties
com.android.deskclock-20120227-230432.tar.gz
com.android.deskclock-20120227-230432.properties
com.android.deskclock-7b6e38e70c532142663ed413bdfce579.apk.gz
com.gusya.android.dockclock-7a7a35ecd86184b1c03a211a78c9c4a.apk.gz
com.gusya.android.dockclock.apk
anyone know the specific file or files i need to move over in order to get the desk dock to use the correct widget while docked.
The latest titanium backup for the .apk files are inside the .tar.gz files.
I would extract them, then add them one at a time (rename your originals on your phone to something else) and see which one is the correct one.
Now that's only if they are compatible with CM7/CM9. You might end up with FC's. If that happens, just delete your copy and rename the original again.

(I'm new at this, any help would be appreciated)
I'm using Daneshm90's (very awesome) APK Manager to mess around with my framework-res.apk file. I've sucessfully reskinned some pngs and changed some xml files and stuff like that.
Why does the following cause a bootloop?
1) Decompile Framework-res.apk
2) Make a copy of res\drawable\btn_default_small.xml and rename it btn_default_small2.xml
3) Change the background of something to android:background="[a]drawable/btn_default_small2"
4) Compile\flash to phone etc, watch it bootloop
(please note: [a] is really the email 'at' symbol, the forums get mad at me for using it)
I can edit existing files just fine, but whenever I try to add and use a new file everything grinds to a halt, even if its just a copy of a working 'stock' file. What am I missing? Is there a list of files somewhere I need to add my new xml file to? Should I be building from source instead of using apk manager?
I've been searching through my phones directory but i cant seem to find where the stock backgrounds are stored on the phone. Any one know what directory I would be able to find the image files in?
If you mean the stock images like the "S" etc, they are bundled in the rom zip unless you are adept to disassembling the zip forget trying to find it that way. Look in the Themes/app sec and do a search someone already has all of them in a zip and or an apk. If it is an apk and you are up on those then download them and put on the internal sd then download an apk installer from the stor and it is easy to install and replace whatever is existing.... good luck
Tharnk you ill take a look into that

Hey Guys,
I have been attempting to mod my framework-res.apk to try and add a percent battery icon (unsuccessfuly so far). Here is my issue, after finding that my modded framework file isnt working properly, I go to try and restore the original. After restoring the original I still get tons of FC's and the only way to get things back to normal is to restore my backup from CWM.
The method I am using to replace my framework-res.apk is to use a root explorer (ES File Manager) to copy the file to /system/ then from there I modify the permissions and then move the file to the framework folder, overwriting the existing file. After this, I reboot the phone.
My question is, why is my original framework-res.apk file causing force closes? It is starting to make me think that even my modded files are ok, but that the issue is arising in the manual transfer.
Sorry if the answer is posted elsewhere, I googled and was only finding issues with the apk not being compiled correctly, but that shouldnt be an issue with the original apk.
*EDIT* I figured it out. It appears it was because Jkay Deluxe was installed. I decided to reflash the rom and try with a fresh copy of the framework-res.apk and everything appears to be working now.
While I was trying to clear the data of the file manager, I inadvertently uninstalled the file manager.
I am rooted on Virtuous Prime. I tried to use Titanium to extract the file manager from a nandroid backup; this did not work.
I do not have a titanium backup of the file manager.
Surprisingly, I like this stock file manager.
Is there a way I can get it back? A download?
Can I use adb to push the file manager to the device after extracting it from a ROM?
I don't know if this is the right one, but we can try it. It's the only one I could find.
I also have another file called filemanager2.odex
Im thinking that's just the data in my file manager....if you need that 2nd file, let me know
Added the file...had to change odex to zip to upload....just delete zip and change it back

If you are on a stock ASUS firmware, most of your system APKs will be odexed. You need both the APK and the odex file for the app to run.
A lot of custom ROMs have deodexed files for several reasons. Some people swear that deodexed ROMs are faster, some swear the opposite. Modifying deodexed ROMs is theorectically slightly easier also as you only need to deal with one file rather than 2.
This is a rather simple, nonsensical explanation of the situation, and I'm sure other folks will chip in with more accurate definitions, however, getting back to the point, YOU WILL NEED THE ODEX FILE ALSO IF ON STOCK.
Unless it is due to being on a custom ROM and ringtones etc. having been altered, did ICS change the ringtones and such? I don't have the same ones I had before on a GB ROM or in stock GB. I'm now on ViperRez.
Can I grab them from a GB RUU or a an old GB stock nandroid of mine? Or in a GB ROM I have downloaded? If so, where would I find them and how would I get them onto my phone/into the ROM I'm running?
They should all be .ogg files. You should be able to take them from your rom of choice by navigating to /system/media/audio/ and then either /alarms /notifications /ringtones or /ui. Copy and paste whatever ones you want back into the same folder of the rom that you're running.
Sweetness, thanks! Found the ones I missed so much.
I also grabbed all them from every ROM I have on my computer and put them all in one place so now I can get rid of the ones on my phone that I never use but still have them saved somewhere just in case, and I don't have to scroll through so many on the phone itself.
It doesn't matter, but in case anyone more n00by than me on this wonders, they were mp3 format.
