I didn't believe what people said about Samsung. I assumed all you had to do was root and go custom, but it is all true. its almost like windows. if you want the new version you almost have to pay again.

Reddit and Wikipedia are still going through with their plans to go dark on the 18th though. Will XDA follow? It seems kind of pointless to do it now.

yeah when link broke he posted a new link then it didnt work i was running it up rtill 2 weeks ago and it was great on battery
and rms does not have it i asked him first he lost the booting and functional one
When I get to work tomorrow ill see if I still have it in my work computer

I agree. I'm not gonna lie. However, some people know more than others. We need to give them an incentive.
For example, a regular doctor can do some much before he refers you to a specialist. The specialist charges more for what you need.
I hope you understand where I am trying to get at with this.

I thought he said he was sleeping and would do it this morning. The mod said said he was waiting for evidence or he would close and delete it. I hope its just hidden. I really hope it's authentic then he can trade it for the exynos sources, but he did say something about them asking for his address. If he's not careful they may trace him and mess him up like that iPhone 4 guy.

Who cares what team bamf thinks. They have Devs who steal phones from people and then don't release work for months and months on end. I say share everything they want kept secret!
Also I want to point out I've had access to this since march 23 where another user on here compiled it. So this is really nothing new.

It could mean don't post the ROM itself anywhere or don't mention it outside of the BAMF forums. Either way he has one of the two pretty strictly posted in the op. My memory is a little fuzzy seeing as how this happened a while back, but there was and still is proof if the mods have not deleted everything. Just because you have had positive experiences with some of their devs does not mean they are all good or even that most of them are good upstanding devs. There is no reason for that type of attitude either, if you cannot act like an adult and discuss things without attacking others then you should just leave the thread.
Unless you know exactly what you are talking about and were there when it happened, the phone being pretty much stolen, you may want to take your own advice.

Joelz has taken phones from people donating only to not release ROMs, drop the phone support and then go to sell them for profit. He is a part of team bamf still yes?

I haven't had the chance to run CM since the original Motorola Droid, and I absolutely loved it. I would love to be able to run it again.

I understand the legitimacy problems but I'm not trying to scam anyone. I just want to help get a dam a phone for hands on. I personally want this thing unlocked like the rest of you
Closing this, as it's a violation of the no donating in advance rule on XDA.
Unlocking bootloaders is not easy, and going around collecting money isn't going to help achieve that.
