Hi
I was using Odin to flash to 2.3.5 but the flash stopped working and unfortunately the only thing i could do was to unplug it :-(
Now I have the phone-to-yellow triangle-to-computer symbol!
I have followed this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386669) and tried the unbrickable resurrector and it can see the player but when it tries to flash the SBL it says it cannot (number 3)
Not sure where i go from here?

Last thing i tried is to flash it with gingerbread firmware as explained in adroiddevicesdotcom. sorry its not letting me paste the full link of any third party website.
now i can see startup screen where it reaches up to big "S" sign with samsung galaxy 2 written at the bottom but its just looping at same screen.
Could anybody please suggest me what else i can try to install its original OS again.

You can find firmware here:www.sammobile.com
*coughs* Or funnily enough, you can find firmware here and here
Why are you even messing with ICS if you reallly have no idea what you are doing? Didn't you read?
Simple solution to boot loop is a factory reset. I have done this numerous times after flashing a new ROM. Works all the time.

no one can help you without you providing alot more specifics..
exactly, step by step, what did you do?
what exact files did you load?
Download samsung kies, go to tools-firmware upgrade and initilization, put your phone in download mode and plug it in. Go through the directions and youll be back to normal

I used odin to flash the the kernal in the second thread of this post. I put the .tar in PDA and the phone is recognized by the computer/odin. Hit start and it flashed the kernal with success. It was stuck at Samsung logo (the one with color not the initial white one). Did it again with the stock kernal same issue.
I will tried the kies approach.
Easiest way i found to root was to flash stock gb rom via odin and install cwm from odin and flash a rooted rom.....semi bricked while trying to root a stock 4.0.4 note.

Try factory resetting ur phone from recovery. If u didn't do this u WILL boot loop.

Unbricked using Kies. Now I cannot flash a rom. I get a status 7 error. Any one know how to resolve that?

Update ur cwm or just flash twrp. If u are still rooted. Status 7 means ur recovery is outdated or u are no longer rooted.

Got it working just fine! Thanks for the support guys!
Hi Guys,
bought a cheap S2 of ebay which had a Orange lock on it. I decided to root it to remove the lock. When I got it kernel version was L9100BVLPD. Then updated it via Kies2 to L9100BVLPH. I used Odin 1.85 and this kernel CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LPH-v5.2-CWM5.zip (can post the link, but it was the chainfire one)
Installed all the drivers. In the download mode Odin said added and I followed the steps. Odin said PASS after only a few seconds. When it reboots though now, it shows the Samsung logo with a yellow triangle below, but then turns off. I can still go into download mode etc. I can´t seem to find the original kernel anywhere. Any ideas on how to fix this mess?
Thanks in advance!

If you just want root you can use speed mod kernels for gingerbread and Siyah kernels for ICS. But first you have to flash a stock ROM from sammobile.com

Try sammobile - firmware or Check fus downloader here
Remember to (1) have Samsung USB drivers and (2) put kies off when using Odin and (3) read about emmc erase bug in stock 4.0.4!
If nothing works take a look here

When tried to flash the first odin stucked at hidden and the second time at system after changing usb port and rebooting the computer.
I found somewhere that flashing pit file then the firm may work
Is that because he didn't do a factory reset before flashing?

Flashing a pit will usually hard brick the phone. If odin is correct version, phone is connected properly and you are flashing the right rom for your phone then the worst had already happened, nand failure.
You are missing a lot of information in your post, what does the screen say in download mode and how did you arrive at needing to flash back to stock?

Write out exactly what the phone screen says when in download mode.
Did you disable Kies before the flash, sounds to me like kies interrupted the flash
I can't contact him right now.Is it sure that the phone won't go back to download mode if the pit file was passed without firm ? If not is it possible to recover it with Jtag ?
@slaphead20 yes I killed it from the task manager

Hey guys, I tried to download a gaaps file and I think it was the wrong one because I ended up completely deleting my OS. The battery fell out and now I'm unable to get into recovery mode. I can get into odin mode, though. Is there any help for me? My computer doesn't recognize the device when I plug it in, either.

Which model number and carrier is your Galaxy S3? Fortunately if you can get into Download (Odin mode) mode your phone is only soft bricked. What you can do is first download and install the USB drivers for your device, these Samsung drivers should be compatible with your device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038555. Next, you can download and install the latest version of Odin from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539. After you have done that you can download the stock firmware for your Galaxy S3 by searching for it and downloading here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/. Then you can boot your phone into Download mode and use Odin to flash the stock firmware you downloaded. This should successfully restore your device to working order. Let me know if you still have questions I'll be happy to help you out.

US cellular is my carrier and the model number is SCH-R530. I couldn't find that particular model when searching for the stock firmware on the website you provided. I've googled it as well without any luck. Also, I've downloaded and installed the drivers earlier and they cannot recognize my device. I'll try it with the website you gave me, but I'm pretty sure thats where I installed them earlier.

I would recommend taking a look at this guide and following the "Boot into Download Mode" part of the guide. The guide includes where to find the stock firmware for the U.S Cellular model Galaxy S3 and how to flash it via Odin.
Okay, thank you! I am currently downloading the stock firmware. Is it okay if I pm you if I have anymore questions?
