Have you do battery calibration right?
Use your ace until the battery getting low, then wipe battery stats, and use your ace until it turns off by its self. Finally, charge your phone (power off) 'til full. Do it twice.
I recommend you to use battery calibration app. Get it in market.

Then try flashing stock rom. If the problem still persist, I guess there's something wrong with the battery. Buy a new battery, or if you're not sure just bring your ace to Samsung Service Centre and let them see the problem.

Don't talk without knowing what you're saying. As desperate as he is, making a joke would lead to him taking it seriously.
Anyway, calibrate your battery by CWM or just let your phone charge to 100% full. When it SAYS 100%, it doesn't mean it. Leave it charging for about 1 more hour after it says 100%.
Dont be too serious man...
hmm.. that strange.. i'm using infinity v2 by nims11 but doesn't face such problem.
tried using battery calibration didn't work and potentially made it worst, how do i do it in cwm because i read that's the proper way of doing it

To properly calibrate battery you should do a long and accurate procedure. See this.

Can apply this to ace?
trying that method tonight.. wish it would help extend my battery power much further than 1 1/2 day..
The information is really screwed up. First my phone was just sitting there overnight at 90 % woke up and now it was about 50%. Phone was down to 17% plugged it in to charge it jumped to 60%. This is really infuriating and i cant even get a hour on moderate usage. Tried calibration didnt help or did something wrong i really dont know i give up

Battery percentage isn't that accurate. You need to see how long it actually lasts, mine goes down to 80 % in the first 1/2 hr of 3g use then stays there for a while, but in the end i can have it last for 17 hrs with pretty high usage. Try and see! And remember battery is fully charged when in settings/info/ status is displayed "charged"
Sent from my Galaxy Ace on Ice Cream Sunday Final
mine only get 8-10hrs normal usage. go down to 80% fast, slower down to 40%, and 20%, but much much slower down from 15% to 5%.
touchdown sync every 4 hrs, internet browsing, whatsapp, twitter.
on the battery use, its always cell standby, phone idle, and display take top three.
you can save the battery for about 24hrs when you use 2G only. with 3G, i don't think so. (I haven't tried this tweak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436367 ).
Try charge to full 100% with the phone on...about - status say full
Power off, enter cwm recovery not while phone on enter cwm manager, use the home+power button method
Wipe battery stats, power on the phone (usually battery now 95-97%) then charge it to full 100% again...unplug n enjoy
I get 17 hour with this method with heavy usage...

doesn't work for my ACE.
when phone ON, I charge it until 100%. then I turn off the phone, and keep charge it until it say FULLY CHARGE. go to CWM, and wipe battery status.
my ACE's battery still run for 8-10hrs only.
or may be my battery need to be replaced with the new one...
You don't have to wipe battery stats every time... after deleting them you have to do some full charge/full discharge cycles. If you don't do this the calibration won't be useful.

[Q] Battery leak!

Hello guys I'm having a battery leak but i dont know which app/s is draining my battery i go to battery status and i only see
Phone idle 55%
Display 20%
Voice calls 11%
call standby 11%
android os 2%
Flipboard 2%
not sure if these stats help!
... but im sure that some background apps draining it , any idea how to discover the leak and deal with it ? i dont use 2g/3g gprs , Bluetooth or anything like that only wifi and not for a long time I'm running 2.3.4 un-rooted atrix4g with go launcher please help and thanks for your time
Have you checked another battery? I think that's an hardware problem dude =/
BTW you can try CPUspy and Battery Monitor Widget
I hope that helps.
Thanks im gonna try Battery Monitor Widget i got problem parsing package with CPU spy anyway how could it be a hardware problem ?
try advanced task killer and kill the unwanted apps . That will save battery . And i dont think that this is hardware problem .

OK. I think the battery life of your phone is shorted or it's broken but you can also try "BateryBetterStats" to see what process are draining more battery on your phone.
Task killers are not recommended on most on cases to use in Android SO.
Guys i was on like 20% battery today and i restarted my device to found that im back to 50% !! how come ?
Edit: turning off background data wont make so much difference

from 50 to 10 - 14% (if i reboot after using phone for few hours or if i remove battery for freeze reason or anything ) and after few seconds then shutdown automatically
after coming home , like if iconnect and turn on battery after few seconds ,it shows around 50+ but before connecting to charge if i try to turn phone on it wont work

try with an alternate batt and see if the issue persists(just to confirm its really a hardware issue).
also use BBS- Better battery stats app and see what is causing the issue if its software related

Sorry again battery question

Hi.
I have used lots of roms to find out what the problem was but did not solved it.
My battery drains from 100 to 85 very very fast.
I mean 10 percent in 1 hour :crying:
No matter what kernel or rom i use.
Then again it wont go to 100 percent its like 96-97.
Is there a fix ?
I already bought a new battery and a new charger.
Same results with the charger of my wife s3 mini.
anyone have a suggestion before i trow it away and buy a note 2 ?

Its idle as i am on wifi and mobile date it both suck..
Nothing strange to see with better battery stats.
EDIT : i pulled the battery for 10 minutes and charged it with phone off.
It looks like its not losing percents now,
The only problem is why it not goes to 100 percent.
I installed the rom this morning.
Does it automaticly goes to 100 after a few charges?
And it started to drain again.
Anyone have a clue ?

Check Your Battery Stats. .. download a battery stats app and check which app is causing the most drainage. .. There was a media scanner bug sometime back. . Maybe It's That. . If It Is, There Are Fixes For It Here. Good luck

Try BetterBatteryStats or GSAM. BBS is better but not free. I use this. i have a widget on my homescreen at all times.
You may just need to go through a full charge cycle to get it to 100%. It's just that the new ROM thinks that 100% is 97%. A couple of charges / drains will sort it.

Battery Drain Issue -- RESOLVED

I was having hell lot of Problem with Battery backup (using SamHD V3.2), tried using Calibration but didnt work.
Then I after searching/surfing the Internet, used a custom Method as mention below :
1. Charge your Phone to 100%
2. Download "ROM TOOLBOX Lite" from Play Store.
3. Go to ROM Management -- Wipe Option -- Click Wipe Battery Stats (DO NOT tick any other options other than wipe battery stats)
4. It will ask for Reboot, do it.
5. Then charge the phone to 100%
6. Calibrate the phone using Battery Calibration & then start using the phone.
Phew!!! it works now, I was mad behind this problem and now my life is kool...
Note : If this doesn't work then instead of point no. 1, please do the Point No. 2 at 5% or 10% battery status

actually, you people are under illusion that deleting batterystats.bin file would resolve the battery problem. lol if your battery is in good condition, android would automatically show the right percentage when you let it charge for a few hours and then drain it. if not, you need to buy a new battery. know that the lifetime of micromax battery is only 1 year and it won't last more than that.
