[Q] help needed for rooting and other related stuff.. - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

hello , actually m new here so plz. help me out.. m a noob here
i knw many of answers r already on da forum but i m nt able to find each and evry answer 2gether,,,so plz. be gentle
hw to root and again Unroot dis device ??
wtz da steps ??
and wt does the lockedbootloader/unlockedbootloader means ??
does it is necessary to have unlocked bootloader in order to have Root access ??? or locked bootloader can also be rooted ??
can we relock our bootloader after unlocking ??
wtz da advantages / disadvantages ??
imagine if i hav rooted my fone den if i am able to connect my fone to pc and can update my fone when ics will receive ??
even if it will be updated to android 4.0 icecream sandwich den i it will be rooted ??
or hv 2 root again ?? i dont thonk so root is avavible on ics...
wt du u think ??
ROOt iz necessary for me coz i am upgrading to dis and dont wanna to lose my old data such as opera mini saved webpages which is backed up my titanium backup which need root access....
Plz. light up and solve my puzzles..

and 1 more thing i hav tested on nexus s wid ics dat ...on ics every app is able to go thriugh proxy settings applied in wifi settings applied on it (in university there is proxy for evry each student to run wifi ..u r may knw abt dis ) NOT ONLY DEFAULT BROWSER...unlike other android gingerbread fones in which only browser goes through proxy ....
so there is any way to hav all appss go though proxy without ICS though any app ?? i hv tried many apps but nt able to get succes...

ok i hv read dat earlier but still hav confusion in mind. . i will read dat again. .
but tell me how to hv unlocked bootloader without the loss of wt drm rites n other imp. things without knwing sony . .and again hw 2 relock?
and m nt able 2 find hw 2 unroot da fone?

and dat still proxy in wifi ques.

Unlocked or locked u will still get ics
Unlocked will prob still get it first as your network provider will take ages to push it out
And use the search tool

Hi Akhil,
If you install the official ICS update, the proxy option is there. If you install any aftermarket ROM proxy option will be there.

Alternatively you can install proxydroid from the market. Requires root though.
