Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew when the Xperia S is getting android 4.0/whether it was worth putting a custom rom on it, depending on how much time there is.
Thanks,
Storm08
Good grief!
This forum needs a like button

sorry to ask m8,
but do you live on a different planet or?.....
It's already out for quite a while and we're working towards AOSP.
What's AOSP and where can I download it?

AOSP is Android Open Source Project. If you need the source, get it at source.android.com
Cheers
Installed, plays great but I'm getting stuck at the Main gate to the castle, do I give the guards the peas or what? He won't take them, says he doesn't like bookshelves!

This guy doesn't sleep. He's a cluster of every single xperia phone ever made. THAT'S why he's so goddamn awesome. He had the first public ics for the mimmi. Everything was broken but he still did it

there are a lot of ppl that still remember the old days, and all the devs, that have put his grain in this mobile phone.
The only way I remember slade87 is his GinTonic. Probably the fully working GB rom which I've used back then. Any chance that you'll develop new stuff/fixes for our phones?

How anybody could forget you? You are the best developer on x10 mini pro in history! I remember when you created one of first custom-kernel for our phone, it was amazing.
I hope that you will resume work on the GinTonic and/or ZombiePanic.
You are great, you know ? I think that older user of x10MP agree with me.

+1 on this!
those were the days, when gintonic+zombiepanic ruled our minis
Ha ha, this looks like some cult of personality growing here. But seriously, we have to give credit where credit is due for sure. I just came back from holiday where I kept myself offline deliberately only to get very pleasantly surprised now by two things - miniCM10 up and Slade back - unbelievable! Welcome and keep up the great work guys.

Not only that, you will have stock apps for GB from Xperia S with SDE (working very good).

I'm pretty sure that kind of news would be published on sony developer page, if it was true..
and not on some forum..
and since you read it somewhere, you could at least put link where you read it..

Re: Kernel for ICS update on 2011 Xperia
I wouldn't say we're lazy.
A new kernel version is not necessarily the same as better and smoother software. It's all down to how you integrate the software with the kernel version and for now we have taken the decision to use the kernel we're using. Not because we're lazy but because we believe it provides the best experience with our software.
This does not mean we will stick with the same kernel for all eternity of course.
