Hi I have never experienced this problem with In Paris v5. Those problems are usually router related. I would suggest the following:
1. Switch off router. Leave it off for a few mins and turn it back on again and try connecting from your tab.
2. If that doesn't work. Switch off router. On your tab go to settings->wireless and networks->wifi settings. Tap on your wifi connection's name and choose forget. Switch on router and scan for networks on your tab and try reconnecting to it.
3. If that fails too, download Wifi Fixer from market for free and see if that helps. Its an equivalent to Wifi settings on Android just like 'fix permissions' for the android system and app permissions
i have done that and my laptop and everything else can connect to the internet apart from the samsung tablet- do i need to flash anything as part of the custom rom install - to confirm all i did was wipe all data and a clean install of paris.v5 -

by "wipe all data", I assume you wiped cache and dalvik cache as well?
in that case, i suggest you try the third step I posted above which is to download Wifi Fixer from the market and it should help.
Try switching to a different channel on your router.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using xda premium
Delete the dhcplist file from your tab via root explorer or another file manager. Dejete the file then reboot the tab. If you google it you'll find where the file is located im at work and I don't remember lol good luck

Since you wiped data, you're not just forgetting a password for the wifi are you?
Thanks for the suggestions - i tried all the above and what and what made it work was the me deleting the dhcplist file - i rebooted my tab and after putting my password in it connected to the internet - so thanks again for all your help.!!

Problem when using roaming GSM simcard and how to solve it

I have unlocked the Photon 4G and sometimes I'm using my roaming GSM simcard (it's from middle-east and works at AT&T network).
First I faced a problem with GOOGLE PLAY!!
it can't access the google play app, even I've tried to flash the ROM again but it didn't fixed.
This mean that you can't download any app from the market.:crying:
I've tried to clear the cach and the data of google play like this (settings > manage applications > click playstore under 'all' > clear data > reboot); It also didn't worked :crying:
The FIX::good:
1. Power off, remove the simcard, power on, download what you want from google play, power off again, put back your simcard, power on again, and go.
2. (BETTER):good::good:
Try going into settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network Mode > choose CDMA only.
then Reboot, then download what you want from the market.
Now to retearn back: Go again into settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Network Mode > choose GSM only.
Done, hear no need need to reboot, AND you are still able to use google play untie the next Reboot.
please if somebody find this thread useful in any way, just hit Thanks to understand that I've helped somebody except me.
I faced this when using this ROM

I don't know if this will appear/solve in other ROMs

SOLVED:[Q] imposible to activate "Data Packages" on a Star A3 with Android 4.0.1
Hello xda developers
I know there is some users of this mobile around here, and plenty of experts of Android
I try to stablish a data plan from my phone provider but the mobile is not able to connect to it
The Sim is in the right slot,
Perfect signal
Configuration (APN) correct
by I can not found "data packages"
manuals and support say me that it should be an option on Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks
that sais "enable data packages", or "data packages" , or "enable data"
but nothing like this apears ...
I can see neither a menu or option to stablish preference of Wifi over Data
can be these options activate from the terminal either ?, I have it rooted.
SOLVED ::
just a temporal error, get solved with restarting the phone, windows solutions on android ...

Hello,
This will not get you an account but if the app doesn't let you in, this is a workaround to use it without logging in:
Go into the settings > Lock screen > Lock Screen Mods > 'the little setting icon next to the Static wallpaper'
and you should be in the themes app now.

Here is an easy step by step tutorial:
1. Download this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut
2. Open it, you should be in the activities tab (if not navigate to it)
3. In the text field "Input keyword to filter" type "Theme Chooser"
4. Expand the hopefully one search result and click on the first one
5. Check if it works by clicking on try then click create to add it to your homescreen
I also included a screenshot in my post.
Hope it helps.

[SOLVED] Mobile data exclamation mark

Hey guys,
I wanted to make a post about this issue as I spend some time searching the Internet for a solution.
My girlfriend had this problem on her OnePlus 6T but I understood later it wasn't related to the phone.
What happened was the internet connection didn't work except for some apps like WhatsApp and Messenger, and there was an exclamation mark next to the mobile data icon.
This indicates that the internet server cannot be reached, and this issue can have many causes from what I saw on the forums.
So the aim here is to list all the possible causes and the associated solutions, instead of posting on a 2 year old thread.
#1 You have used all your data
This was actually her problem, and I'm glad I saw a guy asking this question on a forum because it is so obvious we don't think about it.
And I suspect this is the most common issue, with some people saying the problem disappeared a few days later. So in this case you know what to do!
#2 OTA update issue
Apparently an update can reset the APN (access point name) settings and make the phone connect to a server that is not configured to provide internet
1. First go to settings
2. Mobile Network Settings
3. Access Point Names
4. Open the three dots on the right hand corner
5. Reset to default
6. Reboot
If it still doesn't work make sure your 'APN Type' field contains at least "default, supl".
Next option is to enter manually the APN settings, for that:
1. Find a webpage from your carrier explaining which settings to enter to configure the APN
2. Go to Mobile Network Settings/APN
3. Click on the "+" and enter the settings
#3 Unknown issue
Here are some other possible solutions to the problem:
Change preferred network
1. Go to Network settings
2. Mobile network
3. Change the preferred network to 3G
4. Wait until the exclamation point disappears, now it should work on the 3G network
5. Switch back to 4G
These methods have not provided results from what I've seen, but if none of the above solution worked you may want to try!
Clear the GPlay services cache
1. Go to settings
2. Applications
3. Google play services
4. Memory usage
5. Clear cache
Clearing Cache
1. Power down the phone.
2. Wait until the device is completely off.
3. Then press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time.
4. Continue holding these two buttons during the initial OnePlus splash screen.
5. When the OnePlus logo goes away, you can let go of these two buttons.
6. And then wait until the phone boots into Recovery Mode.
7. If you have a password set, you will have to enter the pin to decrypt(basically unlock access to storage) here.
8. Tap on the language of your choice.
9. Tap on the Wipe Data and Cache option.
10. Tap on the Wipe Cache option.
11. Tap the Yes option when asked to confirm.
12. Wait for the phone to clear the cache partition.
13. Then tap on the Reboot option to restart the phone.
