http://androidheart.com/how-to-get-the-new-google-play-store-now-the-new-android-market/
1. Launch the Android Market
2. Update Google Music
3. When the update has been installed, go to your home screen
4. Pull down the notification shade and tap the Settings icon
5. Tap Apps
6. Go to Market under the “All” tab
7. Press “Clear Data”
8. Open Play Music (that’s what the new Google Music is called)
9. Tap the Market icon in the bottom tray
10. Confirm the upgrade

Too much work just go to applications and uninstall update, open market and it will auto update to Play.

Google Now not working with Themer

Hello there to you all. As I noted in the title for this thread, I can´t make Now work since I installed Themer. I have a Xperia L and even though I have updated everything it still isn't working. Now starts but no cards are displayed and if you try to search it closes inmediately.
Any suggestions? Is it a known bug?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
How do you access Google Now? Is your phone rooted? We've never received an issue like this, therefore we suggest making sure that no other apps are causing this error.

My phone is stock, no root. I can't access neither by the regular swipe from the bottom nor by opening the app regularly. As soon as you try to search something it closes. No other program has problems.

What device are you using? If it's a OnePlus, then that is from their side. Themer has no relation to altering your Google Now settings, and we haven't had any other issues like this before. We recommend checking apps that you have currently installed as something else may have triggered this problem.
Install UCCW from Play Store.
2. Download this theme and and open it. Now tap on Install Skin button.
3. After you're done with installation, Long press on the Homescreen and select UCCW Widget and select the required widget as indicated by their name.
5. Go to UCCW app, press menu button and make sure the Lock Widgets are 'ON'
Instructions for adding your own app shortcuts in widgets (Hotspots)
If you want to edit or add custom apps in widgets then follow these steps -
1. Open UCCW app and select Hotspot (Lock Widget) from the menu option.
2. Turn "OFF" the Hotspots.
3. Go to desktop and tap the button on widget you want to edit.
4. Select the app you want from the appropriate Hotspots.
5. After you have done editing, make sure you turn "ON" the Hotspot again to apply the changes.

Greenify removes search bar in recents menu

I recently installed Greenify and have since loved it, but I noticed the search bar in the recents menu disappeared. I then uninstalled Greenify and rebooted and it reappeared. I'm gonna keep Greenify, but it's kind of a bummer that it has this weird and uncalled for side-effect.
Using donation version with xposed, Nexus 6P 6.0.1.

Nearly the same issue here.
After installing greenify the google search bar on the homescreen disappear.
Using donation version with xposed, Xiaomi MI4C 6.0.1.
I have the same issue, has anybody found a fix?
Possible fix
Haven't had this issue with Greenify installed yet, but when I encountered the same problem where the search bar in Overview/Recents went away for some reason, this solved the problem for me:
1. Go to Settings > Apps > tap on the Gear Icon > in Configure Apps, select Default Apps > Assist & voice input (alternatively, you can get to this part quickly by searching in Settings for Assist & voice input).
2. Tap Assist app (which usually says Google underneath) and select None. Then tap Asissit app again and select Google > Agree.
3. Reboot the phone. (Soft rebooting works too if your phone has it.) The search bar should appear in Overview again.

I can't believe I missed your reply in this thread! But I did try it and can confirm it works; I followed your steps exactly.
Thank you very much!

Google on tap, activity or shortcuts

I lost google on tap from the application KSetting (mate 8) to change the button long press Home, but I have no way to return to Google on tap, except to erase all data from mobile, in the application I can choose a shortcut, I wanted to know if there was any activity shortcuts to open google on tap.
Erasing the KSetting app data or uninstalling that app won't fix it...? Not familiar with the app as nothing comes up in a quick Google search for it.

Ksetting is a apps of Kingvip rom on mate 8, i can't uninsall this and when i delete data of apps, i have the same problem, with QuickShortcutMaker i try to find google on tap activity but nothing...
On Tap is part of the Google app. If you open it and go into the slide out Menu located on the top left for the Settings, you should see the option to enable it there.

It is activated from the beginning of the world ^^

How to disable this slide out menu?

When I swipe either the right or left side of the screen I get this menu that pops up, it consists of a Google search bar, common apps, recent apps, settings shortcuts and an annoying ad. Is there a way to disable this? This is basically a brand new G5 with no custom launchers or anything like that.
Thanks-
Dan
I think that's a third party app. Can´t remember the name. But you should be able to uninstall it.
I don't see anything unfamiliar in my list of apps?
I did download the LG Home 4.0 app and install it. Maybe its part of that?
It's not part of LG Home, it's definitely a third party app especially given its ads for other software. Perhaps it was synced with your other apps or installed unintentionally some other way.
App drawer may not show all apps. Try to check Play Store > Sidebar > My Apps and Games > Installed tab to see if it synced an older app perhaps. To find a more comprehensive app listing, go to Settings > Apps > Select "All Apps" from the drop-down menu. Review that list carefully. Alternatively, you may try downloading a dedicated app-management app (e.g. AppMgr III) off the Play Store.
I found it! It was installed as part of ES File Explorer, it's a "feature" called ES Swipe. Its annoying and now it's gone....
Its an app I think called swipe it gets installed with ads, u can uninstall it ..

Is there a way to spoof app version so it stop asking me to update ?

I cant use the app cause it asks me to update and if i dont it exits . I dont want to update . how to bypass the update pop up ?
I tried to clone the apk with newer version but the app freeze and doesnt start
Simply stop app's automatic update:
Step 1:
Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.
Tap the Search Box at the top of the Play Store.
Enter the name of the app you are looking for and tap Search.
Step 2:
Tap on the app to open the listing.
Tap the three-dot overflow menu in the top right-hand corner.
Uncheck Enable auto update.
Once completed, that app will no longer automatically update, regardless of what your overall settings have been changed to.

Thanks for the reply .
The app is installed on my peloton bike , there is no google play store allowed
The app gives a message “update before using” and shuts down . There is not many options to try . I was thinking ti change the metadata so the app thinks it’s on a higher version so it passes the check
