Have you wondered how much pushing it takes to wreck the tegra 3?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S65h7cT0bo
It's pretty funny and just for fun, interesting results though
Wow, this is incorrectly titled thread and a video. No Transformer Prime is 'destroyed' in that video. It's simply a performance test that ends with a system crash.

Lol but.. but it was utter destruction! Tegra 3 just couldn't handle it and shat itself big time. Well the RAM side of things anyway.
(okay okay I guess I didn't THROW the prime at the floor or anything) but I find it fascinating that it did so well.

Yeah I'm sorry but this is simply false advertising. I was hoping to see a prime in pieces after all the problems I've had with mine. =)

I don't think this is "utter destruction" at all. It shat itself, yes, but after 14 videos were playing concurrently. I am fairly certain that nobody is going to be using their Prime to do that on a regular basis. It "handled it" just fine.
(Also, RAM is not as important on a tablet as it is on a PC. Eventually, RAM and storage will merge into itself anyways as technology continues to progress.)
Either way, it's a nice demo video and is fascinating as you say.
Amazing how tegra3 handled that many videos at once before finally just saying f?!# it..lol. stick it and overskreen browser is taking android to a whole new level of multitasking and apps in general. Looking forward to more software from the creator of those. I think it could've even handled more videos if you were overclcocked. Or maybe even using Virtuous rom. Since its zipaligned., therefore using less memory.
I was thinkn, from thread title, you got sick of your prime n destroyed it.. I was like nooo we lost another one..lol

No it wasn't. Destruction means that something was destroyed and needs to be repaired. System crash is fixed by a mere reboot

I know we have had similar threads in the past about how to show off the Vibrants screen, but I have not seen one for a little while so I figured I would try to start a new updated one.
So what do you use, app wise (besides Avatar movie), that really shows off the Vibrants GPU and screen?
I think Gun Bros is pretty good, at showing GPU, but the game itself has problems. Same goes for Guerrilla bob, great graphics, but game is not great.
I use "One in the pink, one in the stink" and "Big Trouble in Little Vagina" to show off my screen

So this week I've discovered a hidden feature on my Rezound: it doubles as a portable pocket burner. Not sure if that is too be expected (having read through the other battery threads, it seems that 120°F is typical eye-bulge territory), but if it happens again i'll probably start the replacement phone process.
This happened off charger, just playing a high quality graphics game for 20 minutes.
Just seems a bit high to me, but any further insight is welcome. (as a comparison i've read on the Galaxy Nexus forums that a few folks are getting ancy at around the 120°F mark as well).
Maybe the Rezound is just has a poor design in reference to heat dissipation? Maybe I have a defect? I can live with it, so long as I know its not that big of a deal. I'd like to avoid waking up next to a phone shaped melt hole on my night stand.
Did you try frying any bacon or eggs on the screen?
Phone would triple as a portable skillet! Lol

I haven't checked the hottest, but when I got up this morning it showed 38F and the screen kept fogging up.
I've never had a phone go past about 40°C. I haven't really pushed the rezound that hard yet, so I will try that later today.

If I remember correctly, I was using the new Onlive app for the temp in my OP (but it gets north of 125°F commonly on normal games). If you (or anyone else reading this) have that app, would you mind running it for few minutes & reporting back? It wouldn't surprise me if it played a role in tipping the temp over the edge (Onlive is a magical service // magic = power).

^^ Nice. This is what we all need to know. Can you do something fancy / intensive w/ your replacement phone for a few minutes and see if you can get it into bacon mode again? (gaming or streaming w/ 4G enabled, etc).
If we can confirm that "hot phone" is somehow a hardware issue, its warranty time.

I have the same problem. sometimes I get a little further, but it's totally random when the game decides to save your progress.
It's pretty frustrating. I just moved to the latest #44 for the EOS JB rom and I'll see if that helps improve.
For what it's worth, I played Horn for probably 3 1/2 hours today (yes, I'm a huge slacker, but it's Saturday, so it's excusable) with only one crash and one random reboot (possibly heat-related; it was after over two hours of playing and the back was getting kind of warm) on the newest release of Jermaine's BlackBean ROM, version 3.
Edit.

Android doesn't have lag. It suffers from low framerate at times, but latency is not the issue.
That said, the only place I ever see low framerate is when I have a huge widget list to scroll through.

Okay, just gave 1.1 a shot. Apps are in fact loading up faster when pressed but that's the only thing I notice so far. Can't have a final say on anything else because it's so hard to tell on a Quad Core device with Jelly Bean. But thanks for letting us know of this.
Haven't tried it myself but....
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/entropy-seed-generator-not-all-its-hacked-up-to-be/
There are valid concerns about lag and how the Android OS handles them, and there is discussion currently ongoing within the Android Code about this, but this fix does not address those issues and instead gives performance gains through boosting CPU speed. The developer himself stated that this could in effect reduce battery life, since the hack is waking the CPU every second.

I grabbed this a few days ago when you mentioned it on CTO (thanks buddy). I notice apps opening noticably faster when it's running. I have it set to "start automatically on boot" but any time I "remove all" from a home button long press, which I do after I've been on my phone for a while, the app stops running and I forget to restart it. I wish it would persist that.

Seeder didn't do anything for him on any device he has.
A moderator deleted it though, conveniently. They of course left behind the part where CM is allegedly endorsing it though.

So you do think that a custom ROM can boost its performance even more, especially in the gaming category?
The only games I played on my Prime are Broken Sword 1 & 2 and Machinarium, so unfortunately I can't tell you anything about the performance increase in this department. What I can confirm is that the browsing and overall menu responsiveness have vastly improved by installing AW.
