Galaxy Player 5.0 apks - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I've heard there's some interest in some of the system apps for the galaxy player, for use on other devices. I made this thread for people to request and post apps from the Galaxy Player 5.0.
I tried to attache MusicPlayer.apk to this thread, but the file was too big. PM me if you really need it.

Wireless Settings
Is it possible to backup wireless settings for access points that I don't have a password to, I don't want to keep bothering my SysAdmin at work everytime I perform the steps to install a new rom?

[Q] Samsung Dive dependancies for ICS roms?

I am trying to get Samsung Dive working on my phone but I think the rom developer removed some files since settings just crashes when attempting to turn it on, so I want to replace them.
According to a old list the four apks needed are
IMEITracker.apk
signin.apk
MobileTrackerEngineTwo.apk
syncmldm.apk
Of these the last two are still around on my rom but I can't find the first two anywhere even in the stock samsung LPQ firmware files which I extracted on my computer, so I assume they are depreceated.
Does anyone know what else I need to get Dive to work? I am unable to use any SMS controlled tracking software due to other software choices I have made so this is important to me.
I finally figured it out by doing a diff on the list of apks from the stock firmware and my chosen rom and getting a short list of removed apks led me to the only one that sounded like a option and it worked.
For anyone else looking I only had to replace Samsungservice.apk and Dive started working great.
mine.still does't work after i put the mobiletrackengine.apk and samsungservice.apk can you list what do you have in system/app
I've added those Samsung prerequisites but when I try to enable Remote Control the small popup comes and says: Register Google account first.
But I have already google account (and samsung account) in Accounts and sync.
Do you know what that means?
I used to have Samsung dive on gingerbread and it worked.
Hi guys,
As far as I know you need "SevenEngine.apk" & "SyncmlDM.apk". It took me ages to figure out.
I hope this helps
Ok, I've installed all apks you mentioned, then remove and add google and samsung account and it seems to work but I can't connect through samsung dive. I've tried with different internet connection..
Hi, I've the same error, I only have tu push samsungservices.apk and I can log in into my samsung account, but in samsungdive, no service can connect, nor location either call logs.
Can anyone upload these files?
Thanks!

I've added these also and still no go.

Any further advancements on the requirements of what is needed to get tracking set up. I am making sure this works after my SGS1 got stolen. On SGS2 now with custom ROM, but went to the trouble of downloading stock firmware and deodexing entire ROM to make SURE this works.
Anyone know what the gingerbread mobiltrackerUI.apk did? I have included that in my ROM as well to see if that will make any difference?
That should be enough: https://www.wuala.com/wanam/v11.5/WanamLite.DXLP9.SamsungApps.zip/?key=G5G7NSyOYU5P
BTW. that is interesting if somebody has already lost his phone without enabled tracking https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&hl=en

Thanks, actually I have the original optus ROM and have deodexed it and have all packages from standard LP8 ROM and it still says I have to register my Google Account? I have gone on to dive......still no go? I want to enable remote control so I can eventually get the wiperreceiver.apk working from the Gingerbread ROM, if I have remote control working it won't take me long to get the app functioning on my phone I'll happily wipe my phone to test it lol, so long as I back up to ext SD card and pull the card from the phone and then test it

Register google account first
Hello,
i'm using darkyROM and added all the apks mentioned here (related to samsung dive).
I can tick the option to notify when SIM card changed, but I am unable to tick the remote control option. When I try to enable it, is shows a notification stating "Register google account first".
Can somebody tell me what's wrong or list all the apks needed (the link on previous page (wuala.... ) is broken.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Super User Elite?

Hi,
I'm new to this super-user thing and I'm sure I'll ask the same stupid questions all newbies ask. I just rooted my Samsung Galaxy S2 it's not the international model it it's the sphd -l710 I believe (Sprint) and I have the superuser app available but to change any of the settings is it true you need to download superuser elite because i thought just by rooting my device I would be able to change options on the phone such as speed, etc. What other options does rooting my phone give me access to. I know probably too many to list but to just give me an idea. Also if i say stopped paying my bill to sprint would i still be able to connect to wi-fi without sprint coverage. Any other information for a newbie that could help in me exploring my newly rooted galaxy s2 would be helpful. I mainly just rooted my device because I've heard that it gives you access to certain options sprint does not want you to have access to....Oh yea forgot to also ask, I guess now that I've rooted my phone I can disable the shutter sound of my camera if u could give me quick instructions on how to do that also it would be appreciated. I kno I'm a pain in the a** but thank you so much in advance for your patience and co-operation..
You don't need to touch superuser. Use titanium backup to remove apps and root explorer/some free version to access files, just make sure to select read/write option. Search in your system app data till you find the camera file and delete the sound file ****.ogg sorry i can't be more help, found this via Google while searching else, i just didn't see a reply so i thought I'd help.superuser elite is more of a"support the developer app "for now. Cheers mate

[Q] Omega ROM v41 questions

I have just did a clean install of Omega ROM v41 (selected the basic one) and I have a few questions:
Would ask this in the actual Omega thread but I cannot post there due to post count.
1. If I want some of the Samsung apps it didn't install like S Memo, can I install them now (without reflashing the whole ROM), if yes then how.
2. The Allshare is installed but does not seem to beam photos, videos, music via wifi to my Samsung TV anymore, how to fix that?
3. Can I get the Samsung version of Voice Search back instead of googles? I think it looks better and also ow to set it up so that you double press the home button for it?
1+3. because you flashed the basic you didn't get these apps.
you can extract the zip file via root explorer or from your pc and go to /indie\Samsung\SMemo\app and the same for the s voice.
anyways you can just re-flash the rom over the existing without any wipe and just choose both features from custom install at aroma.

I've actually just extracted Smemo and Svoice from the Omega ROM zip and installed them separately and they work fine.
Allshare came installed with the basic but it no longer beams stuff to the TV.
The best thing was its integration with the music/video/galley which I really want back.

[Q] Accidently deleted Video Player

Hello everybody,
I am new to this site. I just need your help. I rooted my galaxy s2 and installed deodexed rom with multi window feature. But the thing is that I accidently deleted default video player and now I am not able to play videos on tv via all share. I dont want to install that ROM again. So I just want its default video player and the instruction on how can I install that. pls reply me asap
You should be able to re-install the ROM without wiping data/cache and ensure that the video player is checked (if using Aroma installer).
Alternatively, you may be able to find an .apk and install from your SD.
There are many other third party video players in the play store as well - some, arguably better!

There's always an .apk ! Check this out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204423 .
If not, reinstall the ROM but no need to wipe if re-installing if that's what was putting you off doing it.

[SCRIPT] Nougat DEBLOAT Script

Samsung Nougat DEBLOAT script
Hello everyone,
Galaxy S6 comes with much more bloatware than most other phones, it has apps preinstalled that some of us probably will never use.
Some of those apps may even run at boot and consume RAM and CPU. For this purpose I made a small very effective script and that will remove huge amount of applications. This script works on de-odexed and odexed ROMs and you can use it even for Marshmallow ROMs, so this is ALL-IN-ONE solution.
I created the script when Nougat came out and I use it all the time without any problems.
* You can easily edit script and add character ' # ' to exclude certain APP from deleting *

Doesn't really matter. I did it well after o setup my Rom and still face no issues
bootlop with a fresh 7.0 rom
one of the latest
bootloop
You may want to keep YouTube. If you delete it then Google Play will crash if you click on a video. Still not a problem because you can always install it back from the market.
I strongly suggest that you keep one of the two browsers. Android must have at least one browser to function properly. Google Play also needs one browser. So either keep the samsung browser or chrome. Don't delete both at the same time.
If the device already upgraded chrome then your script will only delete the "rom" version of it, so everything will be ok and still working fine because the newer version resides in "ram". On a new/clean device, that will boot a rom for the very first time, and/or google play is not yet registered, deleting both browsers might cause problems.
Some programs are there to run only once at the very first boot, just to populate the file system with the default config values and data files/folders needed for the device to function. If a device had its first (long 5-10 minute) boot then deleting those is fine, always assuming you will not run a factory reset at some point in the future.
Other programs are there and run only if you dial specific codes at the dialer. The camera upgrade firmware or the wlan test for example. They don't run if they are not needed. A lot of debloat guides suggest that you remove those but i don't see a reason why.
You can always create some ScriptBackup/{app,priv-app} folders and move the bloatware apks there instead of deleting them. I would like to be able to bring back the QuickConnect and Gear apks back because i have a gear watch and a samsung tv for example.

Just edit the script to not delete those things.. even states how to do it in the O.P.
Bootloop on latest 7.0 - To see if one of the apps being removed is causing the bootloop I commented out all but a couple of apps (the Microsoft stubs) and tried that on a fresh install, but it still causes a bootloop.
I had the same problem... just look for this: Orel_MadK_Extreme_Debloater_V5_Final worked on my SM-G928F fresg Nougat install IMPORTANT: Dont tick one app for yourself...just leave it standard.
Works perfectly, even added all google apps so device runs better
Can we get this as a Aroma installer ?
