I need the latest official Arabic 2.3.5 stock ROM - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

I have updated through OTA to the latest 2.3.5 Arabic stock ROM, but due changing ROMs or whatever reason things got messed up, so I decided to reset to factory settings but things remained the same. I'm looking for the new firmware to be able to flash it. I flashed back to 2.3.3 stock ROM.
I hope to find the ROM here.
Thanks in advanced!
PS: I did Google that before posting and got nothing!

kp9
go to sammobile forums
the android section
samsung devices
galaxy ace

I checked the forum and the firmware section but no ROM for the Arabic region. samfirmware.com is now directing to SamMobile.
Anyone has a link to this ROM?

[Q] Few questions

Hello,
I purchased my Galaxy S2 back in May and right now, I am running the following:
I9100XXKDH
I am from the UK and was wondering if a official upgraded firmware versions has been released for UK phones after I9100XXKDH? I can't seem to download the latest version from Kies as my phone is having trouble connecting to it. I have tried everything. Is there another way to install the official latest update?
Thanks.
Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 for the firmware you require. Then flash with Odin.
If you don't know what Odin is try searching the forum
KF2 probably latest general UK release but not all networks .
Odin does not install the official update that you get from the phone provider it installs stock Samsung rom .
Stock rom topic in dev section .

[Q] upgrade to different stock firmware

need some help over here
Phone Info:
PDA:I9100UHKI2
PHONE:I9100UHKI1
CSC:I9100TPAKI2
GINGERBREAD 2.3.4 AND LAST SIYAH KERNEL
i want to stay on stock firmwares, but i want jkay mod.
last version is 13.2 for xwkk5 (2.3.6)
can i update to the XWKK5 from frankestein? (2.3.6)
and then flash my csc from the original stock firmware to have my apn setting or enter them manually.
maybe that is not possible and will brick the phone, so let me know if i can, with custom rom i have made it but i haven´t found one i like and i think is not the same for stock roms.
So i will stay on stock and i want to know if is possible to get to the last gingerbread firmware from mine stock rom!
I would do a full wipe including both cache through recovery mode and then flash away!

Yes you can flash a separate CSC or copy and replace the CSC files on the phone or rom .
Thats for stock or custom roms .
So i will stay on stock and i want to know if is possible to get to the last gingerbread firmware from mine stock rom
If its been released for your product code its on Kies .
Or via the stock rom thread .

[Q] What Firmware to Flash?

Hi,
I have a Telstra (Australia) Galaxy SII with the version information :
PDA: DVKF4
Phone: DVKF2
CSC: TELKF3
I found the thread which contains the links to a number of different firmwares
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
There are so many version there, I don't know which is appropriate for my phone.
Telstra has not released an update and there seems to be no plans to do so. The phone is still at V2.3.3. Great network, crap customer service......
I would like flash the phone with a genric rom so I can receive updates.
Can anyone advise me on what ROM I should use for Australia?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
John

Charlie,
Thanks for your reply.
I found the Telstra section and I am still confused.
This is what I found:
Australia
DVKF4: http://www.multiupload.com/UAZPBM0XAS
Firmware info: PDA DVKF4| PHONE DVKF2| CSC:TELKF3
DVKF4 Stock Kernel:http://www.multiupload.com/91ID4RZEMO
Password: [email protected]
What is the difference between the downloads?
I assume the first link is the ROM I currently have in my phone. What is the Stock Kernel?
Regards
John
PS: I need an idiot's guide.

The first link includes the rom (stock im guessing) along with the second link, which is just the kernel.
Are you trying to flash a custom rom, or just official, because the download link rom is probably no different than the one you currently have on your phone. (if you havent flashed any rom yet)
If you are trying to flash a custom rom, I dont think any custom rom allows you to get the official update. (might be wrong)
I see.....
What I am looking for is an official generic ROM that is suitable in Australia.
I used to have an SE X10 before it died and I had a generic ROM flashed from the DaVinci site.
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 has a truck load of official ROMs and many Frankenstein ROMs which I assume are the custom ROMs.
My understanding is that if you flash with a generic ROM, you will get official ROMs when they are released by Samsung and you don't have to wait for your doppy carrier to provide a their cutomised version.
Is this correct?
Yes. If you flash one of those official firmwares from either of Intra's threads, you should be able to receive OTA updates via Kies. You can also use a PC app called Checkfus (search for it on here) to get official updates normally available via Kies (if you can't get updates via Kies for some reason).
P.S - For future reference, questions go in Q&A

Dont flash the Frankenstein firmware then:
+++++++[Frankenstein Firmwares]+++++++
These packages below are not official firmware packages, they are Frankenstein package created due to demand for Firmware with different CSC and modems and also leaked firmware packages. KIES will not recognise the firmware so you won't be able to update to new firmware using KIES unless you flash back to a firmware meant for your device first. Otherwise there will always be Odin to use for updates

[Q] Flashing rom - noob needs help!

Hi, Im kind of new to this.
I looked in a couple forums on how to flash the Official ICS rom. but I would like to know can I just pick any official ICS firmware and flash it?
my phone is:
android version- 2.3.6
Baseband version- I9100XXKI1
I know the firmware I have now is the Chinese one but would like to flash the European one. The person I bought the phone off of seemed to have flashed the Chinese firmware 2.3.6 themselves and I couldn't use Kies to update it, not sure if the phone was originally the Chinese firmware or not.
These were the two sites I was looking at to flash it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278&page=2
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
also is there a difference between those websites for the latest ICS firmware?
any help would be appreciated. thank you!

Shouldn't matter. The reason Kies won't update it now though is probably because the original owner flashed a firmware that has a CSC that doesn't match your location/carrier. You should be able to flash any I9100 firmware you wish, as long as it is NOT an I9100G firmware.

Those two are pretty much the same, if you are looking at the same versions. (e.g. XWLP4) They are just hosted on different sites. I think the one on Intratech's thread may have the older bootloaders included instead of the newer ones (newer ones which prevent USB jigs from resetting the binary flash counter), and the one on Faryaab's thread probably has the newer bootloaders, but that should be the only difference.
And that difference probably doesn't matter much, as I believe with ICS, you can use Chainfire's "Triangle Away" app to reset the counter regardless of which bootloaders you have. (but I don't know that info for sure)
Thanks for the help, just flashed it and works great !

Stock Galaxy s2

Hi so I'm trying to get my galaxy s2 back on stock firmwares, I just changed to gingerbread XWKI4 but now it won't update via kies.
Does anyone know why that would happen? Or what the official unbranded UK version of ICS is?
1. wrong forum
2. select your csc and try again

If you know which stock firmware you want to go back to then you can just download the firmware from Intratech's thread and use odin to flash it. All the instructions and downloads can be found on this thread, read it carefully ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
If you want to flash official unbranded UK ICS release then use Faryaab's Thread and flash the I9100XWLP7 ROM using Odin, the ROM can be downloaded from the 2nd post. Again follow the insturctions in the first post carefully.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
If you flash the unbranded UK ICS rom mentioned above and, as long as your phone is also unbranded, then Kies should detect your phone's firmware again. It stopped detecting it because you changed to a ROM that was not intended for your phone.
