MIUI kernel with best battery life? - HTC EVO 3D

I just recently started running MIUI. I was wondering what kernel gives the longest battery life. Thanks!

I would want to know this too!

When I was running MIUI, it seemed like the best battery life was achieved using the stock kernel.

Thanks! Ive been running the stock kernel and it seems to be getting decent battery life

[Q] Signal boost

Is there any way to edit anything in the phone to increase signal in any way even if it drains battery quicker??

any that you recommend im running the latest viper rom and using the built in kernel
Most people will tell you to try anthrax(chands kernel) I suggest you don't because I use to be running viperom with anthrax and my batter would die on my so fast. Even without q signal boost.

Chads kernels run fine.

There was a time recently there was a known issue of battery drain but it was quickly fixed. Running great now.

Correct. Also the battery drain issue was only on certain kernels.

[Q] Should I put a rom on

Hey all! I JUST got my new S3 and I was wondering if the battery life and everything STOCK is worth to keep or should I flash a tweaked rom? THANKS
I'm contemplating the same thing right now. Just rooted but I'll think I'll wait for JB release.
Stock rom is pretty darn fast and battery life is good.
I'm running aokp already but when I got my phone I kept it stock to try battery life and what not, I would recommend you to check that out first

Flashing is up to user!
Most of the roms are new so there is not a lot of time to judge battery life yet. But I'm on Ultimatum and its running good. YMMV If your in doubt wait a while and keep reading the dev forums.
Good luck!

blazer
what carrier are you with?
blazer rom is awesome, gets rid of all the bloat very nice.
has some needed tweaks to make it fast and smooth
You can always flash back to stock. I'm on t-mobile and free gs3 is working for me.

[Q] CPU Speeds and Clocking

Hey guys...
I'm running Gingeritis 3D v1.2 with Ziggy's kernel.
What's the best settings to get better and longer battery life?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Use imos kernel, 1024 max ,smartass governorv2 and undervolt -75 all across the board if possible.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Should it work fine with Gingeritis 3D?
I've actually never flashed a kernel... so if I do flash this kernel, will it remain there even after I change to another ROM?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
If you change roms you'll change kernels unless you are using a Rom that has the same kernel. It's not like radios. It's easy to flash just wipe caches and flash the kernel in recovery.

My current ROM, Gingeritis 3D v1.2, is a sense based ROM that came with Ziggys kernel. So because my ROM is sense based, I must find the most recent kernel by Imoseyon that is a GB/Sense kernel... correct?
Can you help me verify that this is the correct and most recent kernel available that is compatible with Gingeritis 3D v1.2?

Thanks a lot for you help man.
You always seem to help me.
Try version 6.1. It's based off of 605.9 so it should work just fine.

Okay, thanks man. Flashing it shortly.

Flashed and phone runs nicely so far.
I'll get back at a later date to report battery life.
Thanks so much man!

You're welcome. Glad its working out so far.

Very noticeable battery life difference.
So far I am running your recommended 1024000MHz max and 245760MHz min on the smartassv2 governor.
Across the board right now I am actually -125 and it still runs perfectly. May keep dropping it as long as it can handle without freezing, or is this bad?

It isn't bad just remember not to check apply at boot so that if you get a reboot it doesn't get stuck at that voltage.

Stable 4.2.2

So I have tried out quite a few roms and have had issues with battery life. I'm not overclocking and haven't had a lot of use but it's no where near sense battery. Any thoughts?

I've had the same problem. I've been using mean bean. What Rom have you been on?

I'm running CyanogenMod 10.1 experimental that I downloaded directly from cyanogen.org and it is super smooth with excellent battery life. Way better than any sense ROM. The new ouroboros sense ROM has good battery life and so does super jelly milestone 4. But if you want 4.2.2, go with cyanogen 10.1 builds.

I'm back on the sense 5 port. With moderate use all day at work and data enabled I'm at 56 percent so decent. I will give cm a try again I suppose it's weird how aosp on my og eco and epic 4g seemed more stable. It may be mods on other roms that can cause issues. Have you used the new aosp kernel

I tried jellybam and it for some reason had really bad call quality and people couldn't hear me, sense 5 I love blinkfeed and the dialer ect but no audio Netflix, and I'm kind of bored with 3.16 roms. Ha ha

Yea I don't seem to get good batt life on some 4.2.2 rooms either which is really a shame :/
Got bored of sense and tried some aosp it's nice I like it, just not the batt life
