[Q] Insecure Kernel required BVKJ4 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As a new member I cannot ask questions direct on development threads...... Therefore can anybody point me in the direction to an insecure Kernel for a Samsung Galaxy S2 International Device with kernel version BVKJ4. I haven't found on any list so far within this forum!
Please help

You can use any insecure KJ4 kernel for rooting. See Chainfire's CF-Root kernel thread. The example presented under the text "Help! Which file do I use ?" actually applies directly to you.
Also, please refer to forum rule #1. I know you're new, but please follow the rules.

If your kernel isnt on the forum and there isnt another one that can be flashed instead then you may need to flash your firmware to match one of the kernels on there.Sometimes if you cant find the one you want another can be used in its place but you must be sure of this first as it happens on very rare occasions.Otherwise flash another firmware.
EDIT:Just found this post. You can use KJ3 to root.

[Q]is there a rom to galaxy player 4.0?

i need custom rom and krenel for the player samsung galaxy s wifi 4.0 international.
i cant find in the forum so if you know a rom or kernel please give me a link.
thanks for al the helpers!
Hey, there is a thread on the first page of "general" about this, it wouldn't even have required a search to find!! This question has been answered thousands of times, plus you could just look in the development thread to find out yourself! THE ONLY ROM AND KERNAL FOR THE 4.0 INTERNATIONAL IS STEVE'S! (the rom is not for U.S, the kernal is)

searching for ZSKF1 ROM

Hi all,
I know that there's already a thread for ZSKF1 rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 - but due to the fact that i'm a newbie, I'm not able to ask in that thread for updating the links. I'll be flashing this rom onto my i777 using hellraiser and would like to prep ahead of time to get everything in one place. just thought to give a history and say hi to everyone! *duck and hide under fire retardant blanket*

Thanks for the pointer - the reason i'm posting here is i need to flash the rom (my original thread here) so i can use traditional chinese and possibly chinese interface and need to hell raised the rom in my I777 for flashing... I asked that question in the QA in I777 and they pointed me to Intratech's rom thread and i wasn't able to post in there to request an update due to low post count, thus posting here to catch his attention.

[Q] Stock KERNEL (not firmware) required

I've posted this before but I didn't really get the response I need so am trying again but just clarifying what I'm asking for.
Stock KERNEL for SGs2 ICS. This is the KERNEL not the ROM. Please don't post a link to stock firmware
I've tried here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1075278
but no links work (it always says no longer available or copywrite infringement)
Thanks
1) You absolutely did not need to make a new thread. That's called spamming the board. That's a cardinal sin on here. Mods will be closing this soon.
2) Before they do, you haven't specified what kernel you need (Don't tho, it doesn't really matter). So what I'm going to do is give you a link to a site you can get entire roms from, and you can extract the kernel (zImage) you need from the rom yourself. Try here or Samfirmware.com.
Sorry and thanks

No bumping threads after an hour :-/ This isn't your personal tech support forum.
Guides.
Re: which CFRoot kernel to use, pay attention to the section in bold red on the first page of the CFRoot thread which says 'Help ! Which file do I use ?'
If you can't find the right kernel after reading that section carefully a couple of times & comparing it to the details in your first post, you probably shouldn't be rooting your phone.
Alternatively, you can use the Odin version of another pre-rooted kernel rather than CFRoot, tho obviously you'll need to dig around in the development sections for a Gingerbread version of said kernel given you're running a GB rom (if you flash an >=ICS kernel on a GB rom the phone won't boot).

No but get permission to use the kernel .
Note you will be required to read XDA rules in regard to development before posting any custom rom .
This is a question so its in the wrong forum .
