Looking for an app, please help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I want a widget that is similar to beweather. I want a clock/weather combined widget, but I really want an analog clock. I found this: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/analog+clock+weather+widget, but the app no longer exitsts. It's almost exactly what I'm looking for. Anyone know of an app that would be like this or what I'm describing? Thanks

This one looks ok: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5ncGltcG9ydHMuc3VwZXJhbGFybWxpdGUiXQ..
but your best bet is probably going to be this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sImNvbS5wb3J0dWdhbGVtZ3JhbmRlLkxpdmVDbG9jayJd
If they don't have one you like, you can make your own

Search the market for "Beautiful Widget" many custom skins and lots of user settings.

But does it have a clock with hands? (which is what I take it he means by "analog clock")

Correct. I have purchased Beautiful Widgets, Be Weather, and HD Widgets in the past, but none seem to have an analog clock. THere's specific apps that are just analog clocks that are great clocks, but they don't implement date/weather data as well. I'd rather not have a page of separate widgets if I can avoid it.

FWIW, you can beautiful widgets for free on getjar. That way you can try it out without buying for it from the market. If you haven't used getjar, it's not warez. Don't know how they offer free apps but it's legit, as far as I know.

Did you try 1010ti.me (second link in my post above)? The attached screenshot isn't pretty, but I made it from one of their stock clocks in about 10 minutes of playing (I've never used it before). There are nicer ones you can download you might like too...

Great weather app

I'm recommending WUSA weather. A Combination weather/google maps app with animated layers. I use it all the time. You can set any location as home. Available free in market.

Latest version of The Weather Channel work fine (just recently updated, previously it was pretty unusable, still kinda ugly). WeatherBug looks really nice on the Nook Color.
My current favorite app is Palmary Weather, it offers a bunch of different information, and the widgets you can toggle between graphs of temps, rain, humidity, etc.. It's a really nice complete app, but no radar.. So I use Weatherbug for radar.
Is there any decent weather app/widget that could be used on a different ROM like FroYo? Neither WUSA nor Weatherbug OR the Weather Channel app are showing in the Market

Palmary Weather, I've tried them all and always go back to this one. It's well worth the price.

[Q] Need suggestion for weather + clock + alarm widget for Arc

Hi guys,
I'm trying to get a perfect weather + clock/alarm widget for me. I've been using Fancy Widget for a while, it works fine for me (I can see weather info, I can see time, I can see when the next alarm rings), except there's no direct access to Alarm for it brings me to clock setting instead (and I need another tap to go to alarm).
I've looked at Beautiful Widget, but a bit hesitant to buy it due to some battery drain comments. Does Beautiful Widget drains battery significantly on Arcs? Can it access alarm directly from the widget?
Thank you In Advance.
Give GO Weather a go (pun very much intended) ... Been using it & it's quietly elegant.

Hmm... I still can't go to alarm directly from the widget. Or will it always be like that until I install 3rd party alarm app?
I'm using beautiful widgets and having no issue at all with battery life. Very happy with it.

Can it access stock alarm directly like the stock clock widget when you tap it ?
If it's not possible, I probably would just stick with the fancy widget.
Your could do that in the past, (asigning whatever app you like to different areas of the beautifull widget)
i have not used it for 6 months thou.

Does use automatic Geolocation?
I'm currently running beautiful widget and i'm quite happy with it...
Best weather widget IMO is snowstorm. Small, elegant, customisable, skinnable. Updates based on location. Accurate forecasts.
Decent digital clocks are a problem, though - most of them are pretty ugly looking to me. Quite like the small sony one that's built-in, if only it opened the clock/alarm apps when you clicked it...
+1 for snowstorm
For the clock use "glass widgets" which will allow you to choose which app to launch once you have clicked it

[APP(?)] HTC Home

I don't think I've seen a post about this anywhere in all the time I've been on these forums, so at the risk of being redundant, here goes:
Now, this is only for those that actually like Sense. If you do, here's a very cool set of Windows widgets that put the HTC clock and/or and weather on your desktop!
http://www.htchome.org/en/features/
Check the extras for some other cool things, like weather animations, changing the weather provider, etc.
Yo, does it come with deskclock? =P

Here's a picture of part of my desktop, showing the clock widget and the weather widget. Over on the left, you can see that there's a picture widget also. I haven't tried that.
Note that the widgets have different views, so you can tweak it a bit.
(... and yes; the clock does 'flip'.)
Too bad they dont' have one for linux... Tho you would think that if they can write code for a linux-based phone, they could do the same for a linux-based desktop...
Nice, just downloaded.

Beautiful Widgets Plus HTC Weather App?

Ok so lately the past couple of days sense 3.0 has been really laggy on me, why i dont know so i switched back to my usual launcher pro. It is decent but for some reason it is the slowest on the 3d......it is even faster on my epic. So i switched to ADW and it is flying.....got it set up all nice and goody with everything........except one thing i have been trying to do is get the htc weather app to open up when you click on the weather icon on beautiful widgets. It absolutley will not work. It just continues to open up beautiful widgets own weather app. Is this app denied service by third parties or what? Anybody else able to do this? IK IK the weather included in beautiful widgets is decent but i like HTCs weather app better and why shouldnt i be able to use it just becasue im using adw.
Not a real answer, but if you click on one of the day forecasts at the bottom of beautiful widgets weather, it opens htc weather (at least for me with golauncher).

Exactly how it works for me too, and I use ADW.
The wording for weather application in the settings for Beautiful Widgets says, when you click on the 5-day forecast.

calendar widget

Anybody else upset that it doesn't come with one ? Any suggestions for alternatives?
Really depends on what info you want to see but I use Simple Calendar myself.

I used Simple Calendar in the past. But now I use the Today widget that comes with the phone.
I'm a big fan of the Pure Calendar, it's a pay for app.
i really like the LauncherPro calendar widget...
I like the business calendar widget, can take up a full page on the home screen if you want it to

I went and installed the TouchWiz 4.5 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883 and it works flawlessly. It has the Calendar widget as well as some really cool features not found in TW4. I highly recommend this for someone wanting a near stock TW experience with some really functional tweaks.

+1 for the business calendar widget, or there is also android agenda widget, which is pretty customizable, and will also scroll if the launcher you are using supports that....
If you just want a list of upcoming appointments, Agenda Widget is awesome. Very customizable, though it takes some work to get it just the way you want. In just a 4x1 space on my screen I can see my next 4 appointments, with little bullets next to them telling me which calendar they are from.

Eh? Am I missing some detail about this question? My device has 2 calendar widgets pre-installed: Agenda and Today. Agenda takes up most of a home screen and scrolls to display lots of calendar appts; Today just shows the current/next appt for the current day.
is there really no month view calendar widget for tw launcher that links up with google calendar?
i have tried go launcher ex and the calendar widget on that is perfect, but i want to run tw launcher instead.
i dont want to add agenda or today widget because i want a month view. any suggestions?

This is a list of bloatware removed from the Cognition ROM:
http://ponack.net/designgears/Cognition777/removed/
The TwCalendarAppWidget.apk listed there has a month view. I believe it's from the Euro SGS2 version of Touchwi but not sure. Anyway, replace the corresponding app on your phone with the one from the link. Worked for me on UnNamed 1.3.1.
Attachment so you can see what it looks like. Not bad.
thanks!
do you know which folder it goes in?
is is possible to theme?
/system/app
same one as your current TwCalendarAppWidget.apk should be in. It should be possible to theme using all the normal tools, apk manager etc.
EDIT: OK, now you got me curious. I was able to decompile, edit some XML and recompile without problems, so yes, I'd say it definitely is possible to theme it. FWIW, I changed the first day of the week to Sun (normally Mon.). I might do a full flashable mod with different themes and what not. But it will take me at least a week b/c I am busy with stuff. No promises!
EDIT 2: Oh, never mind, my changes were superficial. All I did was change the day of the week label, not the display of the widget. Still a good project. Not sure at this point if it is above my head...
EDIT 3: Ok, now this is just getting embarrassing. Using the apk I linked to, all you have to do it go into the Touchwiz Calendar app, go to preferences, and set your First day of the week preference. Widget should reflect this change, otherwise, delete and re-add widget and it should be there!
I SWORE I tried this before and it didn't work.

Pure Grid Calendar is absolutely gorgeous. I have a month view on my lock screen and a week view 4x4 on one of my homescreens.
It pulls from multiple google calendars and displays duration bars corresponding to your events.
Simply stunning. Hands-down one of my best app purchases.
