Iwave grove - Sony Tablet S

I just bought an Iwave grove from Ross for $9.99.
I was not expecting much and was ready to return it if it sounded crappy, but it has a nice and clean sound. For the price it is a keeper.
I already can bluetooth to my home system or plug in my nice headphones for great sound, but this gives me another option when I don't want either.

Best earbud stereo bluetooth headset for Tytn?

So many to choose from, so many of them crappy.
I've tried the Sony ericsson HBH-DS970 and Itech R-35, the sony had good sound but too many connection issues etc, the itech only worked -ok- and had a flimsy spring/generally low quality feeling and glitches.
These are ones that I think -might- work well, I've probably overlooked some: Nokia BH-500, SIEMENS HHB-750, SONY DR-BT10CX, Sony Ericcson HBH-DS200, Jabra BT320s, Plantronics 260.
I need good sound quality and it needs to...work.
Anyone?
Plantronics discovery 640e
Right now it is 59.99 after 20 mail in rebate at radioshack in US. Wife approved! I took back all the Moto ones I bought cuz the little misses hated the sound. I use the Kenwood BT1000 that is intergrated into my car stereo when driving. Love it!
Sorry! I just Re-read the post..... this is NOT stereo bt headset
The Motorola s705's work great with my 8525. You can use on earbuds also.
Mr
Looks interesting, a bit bulky but I read that it works reliably, and issues? How good is sound and speech quality?
I have exactly the same question... I was just about to order some Sony DS970 but will see what kind of responses arrive here. Grkn, exactly what connection problems did you have with the Sony?
I had it a long time ago, probably with the default rom and little BT tweaking, but I remember I didn't get it to work properly, maybe I couldn't answer calls, I DO remember there were periodic stuttering. It also didn't have a clip.
But the sound quality was great, and It's very cheap on ebay, I'm tempted to give it another try.

Be careful of the cheap ones on Ebay there were some very good looking fakes going around. Do a google search and you'll find the pictures... not easy to tell the difference at a cursory glance but sound is no way as good.
motorola makes the s9. best out right now. in ear, sleek, low profile, and great for working out and running with. sound quality is awsome, gets even better if you tweak your ad2p. = )

Sound is good but it's sensitive for range, just my arm in the way between it and Tytn causes sound drop outs.
Don't know if this is as sensitive on other models?
Plantronics 260
I really like my Plantronics 260's. Sound great, (especially with one of my roms ), and connect flawlessly. Someone else said his broke, but I don't stress mine physically and its been fine over a month now. I can't compare it to others though as they are the only ones I've had.
jUST GOT THE jABRA jx10 series2 and I'm quite happy with this one so far. Sound and range is good. Phone rings at the same time as I hear it's ringing in the headset. I hoped for a mini usb connector for charging but no such luck.
It comes with a short cable that goes from their special connector to large USB connector so I can use a power adapter I have where I can connect USB charge cable, so I can use this on my travels for charging both headset andmy tYTN.
oPS.. sorry missed the stereo part....
its all about how much you want to spend, the level of quality of music/sound you require, and the shape of your head and ears, and much of a goof you want to look like in public.
The Motorola Bluetoothâ„¢ Active Headphones S9 seem to be the most popular for now, and can be bought for less then 99 USD.
And they'll work with anything Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) compatible. (ipod bluetooth interface sold separately)
And they do have a built-in mic for incoming/out going calls.
These have inter-ear rubber buds ... that I hate its like having a rubber q-tip jammed down in your ear ... not fun... but some people swear by them. -- for this reason, I wouldn't buy them off ebay in case you wanted to return them without going insane.

Mr
For me they're out of the question due to their cyborg look
The S9's worked pretty good for me, except the speakers blew out 3 months in. Now i'm looking for a new set.
S9... the way to go.
Lost my previous and perfect headphones...boohoo
I recently lost my beautiful and never gone wrong bluetooth headset. I still feel gutted. I looked everywhere as I am not one to misplace anything or so I thought. I went through the garbage too!! thats how upsetting it was. I couldn't and still can't imagine for the life of me where the hell they are.
So..yesterday after carefully consideration and bank balance checking...cough cough splutter splutter (bit short of funds at the mo but just enough left to cover some headphones)...I popped along to our good old friendly eBay site...
Found some S9 Moto and won them. I was unsure whether to buy them or not as I have read so much negative reports on line as to how easy it is to be ripped off and stuck with a low quality copy pair.
I have checked best I could and am moderately confident that I have won a legitimate pair as the seller has 100 positive feedback. Postage costs are high but feedback relates mostly to excellent speed of items received along with next day delivery.
I do hope they work well with my hermes as I want to use them whilst on the bus, on the treadmill, walking about, at college, jogging etc.
Fingers Crossed guys.
Heres the link is anyone knows what to look for (checking legit items against dodgy etc)

I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970, realy nice sound only the playtime sucks.
No BT skipping problems.
How long is the playtime?
I've received the Jabra 320s, works like a charm both listening to music and using it as a headset. Sound quality is adequate.
Maybe 3 hours playing time

I am also looking into this.
Surely the best way to go is to get a unit that allows you to plug in your own headphones. via a standard 3.5 jack connector.
2 reasons, the headphone part of these units will be the first thing to die, you can just replace them instead of the whole unit.... and you can use whatever type of phones you prefer (also connect to an amplifier....)
My issue is finding one that has a reliable connection and playtime.
I don't mind paying that bit extra if it works and does it for long enough!
Any users of the HTC S100 about?
http://www.expansys.com/htc/p_htc_item.aspx?i=140285
I have a feeling th only downside of this unit might be that if I stick in my Sony Fontopia earbuds then the hands free part won't have it.... no-one seems to know!

motorola s9 sound quality

ive seen mixed reviews what do you guys think?
I bought one on ebay, possible fake, not quite sure. The item had amazing clarity in sound quality, however it kept breaking up over and over and didn't work in my pocket while walking.
Since then I've ordered the Jabra BT3030 and couldn't be happier with the item. It works flawlessly no matter where my Android is.
Mine should arrive in a day or two. I can then give comments on quality.
I really hope mine will work better than BamaNZ's.
thanks for replies i just hot a pair of s9-hds from a seller who sold 89 woth 100 percent positive feedback for about 40 bucks(he he look at me trying to be all american) i hope its not fake
bought a pair of real non-HD's and I would figure if you're not using them for any activity they are GREAT!!! sound good, fairly comfortable, easy to use... but as soon as you sweat in them... say GOODBYE!!! It goes downhill here from there.
I have the s-9 also and man they suck . Now I'm really not sure if its cause of the bluetooth
But when I walk with these things it skipps like a cd player. What I have to do is place the phone in my back pack so it doesn't bounce. Then and only the will I get good flow of audio.
Then they sound great. Call quality isn't that great either. I get a lot of static.

awww man but i figure ill cut out the skipping by putting my phone in my inside pocket which is closer to the headset
I have had the S9's for a while and I used them on the SE p990i, MDA, Laptop, and the G1. I must say as far as sound quality goes the s9's are really good, and thats about it. It works best with my laptop, if you plan on moving around (walking, running) etc then not recommended. On all the mobile devices it breaks up a lot especially when there are other cellular devices around you. I'm looking to replace mine with something that has the sound quality of the s9 or better and one that doesn't break up as much.
i received my s9-hds today and they sound awesome the only problems are they are uncomfortable at first and im not sure if i look like an idiot with them
The HDs blow the regular s9s out of the water. I bought a pair and they sounded much better. They are uncomfortable at first, but you get used to them.

youre right, i took them to the gym today and after a while i forgot they were there
Thanks! I glad y'all brought this subject up. I was about to replace my HT820 Moto headphones with the s9. I think I need some with a better range. Kinda scares me if you can't even get good reception with the cell in your pocket, lol. I guess I go with the Jabra then. My old moto 820 had great range and sound quality but are like 4 years old and are falling apart.
i find mine work fine if i pair them outdoors but if i was in your situation i wouldnt risk it either
I had mine for two years now ,, best bt/headphones ever ,, what I did with mine was, I took the cushions off of a cheap pair of headphones I had and placed them over the small buds of the s9 , now my s9 sounds like a bose system ...

thanks thats a great idea im going to try it with the ones that came with my g1
I picked up a set from newegg a year or two ago and like them alot
i work outside all day so sweat did kill the mic
but as use for a headset it works fine
I also had issues that seemed like the phone was a bit far away, but i think thats because of the sidekick i was using
I now use a Zune 120 and earbuds and use the S9s for my PC, I should try them on the G1 soon
the jabra BT303 looks nice, if i would have known about it before the S9 i would have went that way so i can use my own earbuds
however if you dont plan on sweating and like the big cushy style i just saw the motorola S805 on newegg for $25
you cant beat that, in fact for the price i may pick up a set
for the PC

I have the Motorola HT820 (I think thats the one). It was their original bluetooth headset. A little big and maybe even a bit ugly but the sound quality is great, although a bit low for my taste, but no skips and great for exercise since they go over and around the ears. They tend to bother after an hour of wearing them or so.
Plus you get over 10 hours of use per charge!
only problem I have is that you can't control the music (I.E. pause, play, next/previous track) with the hero rom or most of the developed roms, or atleast I haven't gotten it to work. Only with the stock rom will the functions work. Still, volume up and down works...

ASUS Anounces an Audio Dock

Here is an announcement of an upcoming dock that will play audio for all of the current transformers. Looks pretty cool...
http://www.slashgear.com/asus-audio-dock-hands-on-with-transformer-prime-06232637/
This needs to have an extra battery, ability to charge the tablet while playing, and BT for it to be useful.
looks good ...
but seriously , a hands on ?
This is an audio device, this needs ears on !
How does it sound!?
i think that it will be cheaper (and better) to buy a nice 2.1 set and plug that in the transformer
Looks interesting. I might be inclined to buy that one, if the price is right.
I was thinking a sturdy base for charging the tablet might be a nice thing to have as well considering the number of busted up charging ports ports that are being reported
This looks interesting. I'll definitely be picking one up when it comes out.
I would like it to have front facing not upward facing speakers.. That way i can use it in my office... pricing would be good to know.. lord knows with BT problems BT speakers are hit or miss...
Meh.
Generally speaking I don't like spending money on speakers and other accessories that use proprietary connectors. Chargers and things like the keyboard are different because they have real utility and maintain the mobile nature of the device.
Speakers in the other hand... well you can get better speakers for less money most of the time, and if they use standard connectors or Bluetooth or something then you can use them with all of your devices as well as continue to use the speaker when you have upgraded or otherwise replaced the Prime.
Just my 2¢.
I think it looks great. I'm probably going to get one

Knowing Bang & Olufsen this could be pricey but if its not outrageous and does charge the tablet I'll be on it!
It looks great. I might get it if the price is good, since the keyboard dock has been unavailable in Singapore since 2 months ago and has never been in stock since then... deciding on either this or shipping the dock from overseas.
I've got a Pasce Minirig connected through BT and that's pretty ideal.
I also hook-up a Wowee One to beef up the bass. Not quite hi-fi quality but not that far off.
There's no way I'd buy a speaker dock I could only use with my Prime, especially as you can't have it connected to the keyboard at the same time. I often text (using TabletTalk) while listening to music.

LG Tone Infinim

Has there been any word on the release of this? I haven't seen anything at all for about a month. Thanks
Would like to know too! Definitely want to get this soon!

These are available in AT&T stores now, though its cheaper to get them on eBay right now due to not having to pay tax. They seem to be sold out online, but they are in stock in every AT&T store in my area for 149.00. They are awesome, by the way. Great sound and great design. I had the 730's and these are so much better in every way, especially when running/working out.
Also have these and the prior top model. The new ones sound worse due to lack of bass and overall fullness. Also no noise cancellation. Bummer. They've also bigger and harder to fit under my work dress shirt. Only thing good is the retractable cables.
Picked mine up today and not impressed. I like the design, it lays flatter than my 730's did and doesn't twist around my neck when I do any leaning over. The retractable wires are great I'm impressed with the overall design and functionality. What I'm not impressed with is the sound quality. My 730's are way louder and have more bass. Even with the built in equalizer on the infinum they are not better sounding. Trying to decide if I'm going to return them. At $160 after tax I'm not too too pleased.
Have you tried using another player to boost the bass?
I installed viper it helped a little with the bass. I haven't used power amp in a while might have to bring it back..
Edit: Power amp sounds even worse. I don't know kinda starting to like the headset.
Well after a day of owning these I'm becoming more pleased. While the bass might not be as heavy as I like they're overall pretty clear. Anyone else that owns these know if the call and/or music button are supposed to blink at all? I was under the impression they were supposed to blink red..
I love mine. As soon as I found the equalizer setting and I changed the setting it sounds amazing. I just love them and the sound and I am an audiophile. The ONLY thing is now it turns on and off on its own. It is really annoying. Im going to go get it switched outn other than that I ABSOLUTELY love them for movies, games and music. Some people are leaving ignorant bad reviews o n other sites of it. Have they looked at the manual? Thats what I did. Also the red ring buttons around the buttons not lighting up was a little bit of a disappointment. But I'll live lol

Like I said they've grown on me quite a bit. I contacted Lg about the red lights. They said they're supposed to light up and suggested I return them for exchange. I did so and the new ones don't blink either. Neither did the service reps at the store. So I don't know if Lg has no clue or we all got defective devices, I think the first option is the case.
I have been using the hsb-700 model for at least 4 years and the are still working fine. But this looks like it would be a nice upgrade. The retractable wires would solve my one dislike on the 700, and better sound is always good! I'll have to put them on my wishlist.
I loved the sound on mine, but the retraction mechanism stuck a couple of times in the first few days. I don't think the red actually lights up like the picture on the box. One of the "features" is that the light is not as annoying as it used to be and it was put on the inside of the headset.
I returned them and picked up the 750's. The sound (bass included) is comparable, but not as clear at higher volumes. Also, the earbuds on the 900's were perfect. They are the same size (IMO) as the 700's and fit perfect in my ear. The 750 earbuds are way too big.
So, now I am debating going back to the 900's because they have the best combination of sound and comfort. I'll just have to get a 3 year, $15 squaretrade warranty to cover the thin wires and mechanism.
About to be on my fourth pair of these. The second pairs right earbud quit working after two weeks. Now the third pairs play/pause and track slider arent working properly. Just got off the phone with Lg and theyre going to replace them again. I just hope this isnt an ongoing issue with these. Hope this pair will be my last.
Sounds like i should just shut up and be happy that my 750's work perfectly...
wow that thing looks ugly as hell...

[Q] Sol Republic Tracks Air on sale

Does anyone have a pair? I'm not looking for something audiophile quality. More something nice, wireless and comfortable (worry about that part with this set). They are <$100 on Motorola right now.
http://www.motorola.com/us/accessories-headphones-speakers/TRACKS-AIR-by-SOL-REPUBLIC-x-Motorola/TRACKS-AIR-by-SOL-REPUBLIC-x-Motorola.html
Any other recommendations. Since it's a 2-day sale, kinda wanted to jump on them, but I figured I'd give my CC a break for a few minutes first.

I bought a pair for my wife earlier this year for her birthday and she absolutely loves them. The audio quality is quite good for a bluetooth pair of headphones and the range is amazing. They're also very light and have good battery life. She actually uses them at the gym a lot and she says they don't get in the way and are comfortable. Noise isolation is good as well since she uses them to drown out other people talking to her when she's trying to work.
At $99 I would say they're definitely worth it.

...and they're gone.
Check out the Jaybirds BluebudsX. I've had mine about 15 months and they are the best bluetooth earphones I've had. Especially if you plan on doing physical activities with them. They sound fantastic, are super comfortable, have a great range, and battery is great for something the size they are.

Thanks. I've heard great things about the BlueBudsX... unfortunately I can't trust anything in-ear to stay in. I've had countless buds... none stay unless they are over the ear. My ears are a bit misshaped. Not like horror movie, nor really noticeable at all... but nothing stays in on me. I had my ubilical cord wrapped behind my ears and across my forehead when I was born, which makes me think that was the root cause. I don't think I'll run in these... I doubt they are the slightest bit water resistant. I have a pair of cheap over-the-ears that I run with now that I will continue to use.
FYI, these went back instock and still 50% off if anyone is interested.
I own the Sol Republic Tracks Air. I think they're amazing, but then once I installed ViPER4ANDROID, boy, you have no idea. Better than some more audiophile-style headphones.
