Let me start with saying SORRY for creating a new thread for a request.
I am looking for classic games like contra or super Mario which works on android.
Before posting here I searched a lot but I didn't got it.
I m sure people like me born in 90's will know these games

stef i am not asking this too be rude but are you now a mod at xda? the only reason i ask is i have noticed alot of posts lately from you telling people what to do, if you are not a mod please refer these issues to a mod because one thing alot of people do not like are forum cops. WTH have you not been reading the other thread about rudeness to the devs and now here you are being rude to some one asking a legitimate question in the general section.
And before you reply I dont care if the question has been asked once or a thousand times. he asked and someone should just answer without the tude...
The Rom was deleted by juasada because he felt that people here were being rude and not appreciating what he did. sadly it looks like there will be no continuation of the work he did.

how can you say its not a place to ask questions???? xda is a community and a forum. a forum is a place for the asking and answering of questions.
a community are people who work together for the good of all.
as for what i said. its the truth, no complaining its why he left just a fact. if you had just answered the question without the tude then we could be out there helping others instead of wasting our time like this

If someone already did, then you dont have tell him again. its like making him bleed and bleed more. If you have nothing good to say at all then keep it to yourself.

finally a sane post
Being a bit of a newb myself. I wondered if anyone agrees that there should be at separate Q&A for noob (novice) questions only.
Therefore more experienced users can filter out stupid questions that even I think is ridiculous. Leaving the Q&A for real problems, rather than simple and stupid questions like "how do I flash a new modem" etc. I propose this idea in all platforms and models.
I felt as a true noob, some time ago that people are very quick to snap at noobs. Leaving them feeling like quitting and giving up. As a community member I feel this is an issue. Having a Q&A for noobs I hope would not leave noob questions unanswered.. just only given advice from willing and helpful members. Leaving experienced or dare I say selfish user the freedom they desire, and the noobs that extra bit of support.
After all, this is a community and we are "supposed" to be helpful. And we all started without any knowledge atall. I am eager to hear your responses.. both noobs and pro devs.
What are your thoughts on this?

No but there should be a stickyed post with all the noob questions. That wouldn't prevent them from getting asked over and over again though.

That's not particularly true, people don't snap at noobs. (Well, most don't and those wo do are jerks)
People snap when multiple times a day the same question gets asked again and again with usually (more or less) exactly the same wording.
So they snap at lazy people who either don't use the search function at all or give up after 5 seconds... not noobs. Neither of both requires the other.

However there should be a FAQ like thread that answers the most common questions, and newcommers must be forced to read it before being allowed to post xD
The last part is more or less meant jokingly but such an FAQ thread is cool.
Many other device sections have such one.

Noobs or anybody that does not want to work within the XDA ethos and rules and wants it all handed to them on a plate does not belong on this developers forum a Samsung phone forum would suite them better .

I think the main thing is a stupid question to some can sound like a smart question to others, and some experienced members here have been a bit insulting to new members on their first post, and I think those people are worse than Noobs who keep getting told to use search function, and yeah there really should be an FAQ written that anyone can understand.

I started an offline version some time ago but never got round to finishing it due to my exams.
Tomorrow being my last exam day (everyone please keep the finders :fingers-crossed: ) I'll renew my work on it
and put it into the Wiki for easy reference and updating.
Then a mod will only have to sticky a post saying to go look in the Wiki.
