Short answer is no and please don't try.

lol good answer. maybe i'll just get a decal if i can find one with a clear protector built in so that hitting the edge of the decal when flicking doesn't ruin the feel of the phone
Are u talking about were it says "Motorola" right under the top ear speaker??? Why would u want to remove it? LolLol

You think your screen is dirty, i don't think it is!
just lick and wet some cloth and rubber it, enzymes make the rest thrust me
Thanks to all and pierre thanks for the laugh hehe.
Also i might buy an screen lcd plastic thingy i think its called screen protector or whatsoever do you think it will help me out? Because now my issue is i gotta clean the screen each time i use the phone ;(

I'm not sure what it is, or if it's like a protectant layer that's wearing off.
But it's only in the lower half of the screen towards the middle.
It covers almost the whole bottom half, it looks like something splattered on it. But I can get it off with anything, I tried water, eyeglass cleaner, and Window cleaner.
It's really annoying I can feel the difference when I try to slide my finger across.
It's all fine when I clean it, it looks perfectly fine. But when I slide my thumb across is shows up.

Edit..sorry
Didn't mean to hit reply..lol
did you happen to be in the bathroom with a inappropriate picture on the screen?
if so thats where the sticky substance came from... lol
I figured there would be one person...
But no, it's like there's a protective coating onto of the screen and it's like wearing in on area.
It just won't clean off.

Lmao! Try using rubbing alcohol
Sent from my Triumph using XDA
Yeah, I was thinking about it. I'll have to try it later.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA
It should lift it as the alcohol evaporates... and I would only recommend alcohol so if any gets in the device it won't hurt it
Sent from my Triumph using XDA
It is actually the oil repellent(or something like that) coating, unfortunately, it is irreversible unless you get it painted again I guess, or replace the screen. your best bet is put on a screen protector.
This happened to BOTH of my previous android phones, Acer Liquid (happened really quickly because the screen is not very sensitive), Atrix (device too fast, so I browse the web on it too much so it has worn off too)
Moved on to HTC Amaze, I guess it is just the same, I better put a screen protector on first...
One question though, did you ever use screen protector? Both of my previous devices did, I wonder if they take a thin layer off when you peel them off....
Well I bought my phone used so I'm not sure.
The alcohol didn't work, so I'm pretty sure it's the coating...
Time to get a screen protector.
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA
Well I can't really tell...
It almost acts like it's coming off, I can't really feel it anymore and I can only see it when I purposefully get my screen dirty. But it looks like something was smeared on it and half of it came off and it's in a hole bunch of little dots and globs.
Is this what yours looked like morris?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA
not sure but you might try DRM'ing the phone through tmobile just not sure what their policy is on doing it to a phone you got from someone else . . would think you still could though
Well I bought it used, and I'm on a prepaid plan.

Oh..... #ThatAwkwardMoment
Haha, but really I'm thinking that my battery was getting really hot or something and it melted it or something. Or some type of chemical reaction between it and all of the oils I have on my hands while I'm at work. I work at a machine shop, and there's always different types of coolant and oil

Ok guys I have my first case of body damage. The nice rubbery coating on the body has seemed to "chip off" in some spots, they are very small but that's how it starts lol one spot is on my speaker grill I now have a white spot there where I'm guessing a small piece of something sharp dug into the coating. Also on the side right above the volume rocker it also chipped and it was almost like something worked it way under coating and lifted it in a tiny spot so I had to scratch it off cuz I'm so anal lol just thought I'd let y'all know..I had a tpu case on it when both happened so I'm gonna say that something got into the case and did this damage.

O and that little streak just above the speaker grill IS also one that will not come off..lol
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
So was your tpu case pretty loose, that you think something got inside? What have you tried to get rid of that streak?
Tpu case is pretty tight but not so tight that something couldn't get in especially with me being outdoors all the time and getting dirty and dusty lol but as far as the streak I realy haven't tried much other than a barly damp cloth and my finger lol not super worried about it just wanted to let everyone know I'll probly end up buying a new body when they come out with it on etradesupply.com they already have int. Version bit it doesn't have lte radio antenna sadly cuz I would love to have the red accents!!
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
About the body, was it you back in One X forums, who modded two different body pieces together?
Sure was

Black and white buttons lol its still rockin a white body with black buttons my girl is using it atm which reminds me I need to update her viper rom lol!
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
I didn't go into details, but was the whole body switching process too complex? Time wise and all alignments and cutouts matched?
Na all it took for me was one guitar pic. But I think most people recomend two or three all u do is wedge it in between the plastic body and the rest of the phone if u look at the sode of phone where the edge dips down is good place to start

Just wondering, how many of you have a gap? Also where is it located and do you care? I have a small but long gap on the top by the power button. I also have a hang around the bottom speaker. I'm just worried that over time dust will collect under the screen.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Do people realize that gapless applies only to the back?

Was gonna exchange it but I'm not gonna be super anal about it. It's not even that bad.

What gap are you guys referring to?
If there is a gap on this phone, it's not enough to be an issue at all to me. I'd be hard pressed to find any imperfections in either of the two we have in the house.

Have a gap between my incisors. I wish I could refund to God. :[
I don't have any gaps or overhangs on my phone. Just 2 minor stuck pixels that you can barely see.

I don't think you need to worry about dust. I had dust with my sensation but the screen was different. These new LCD panels have zero gap between the LCD and the glass. I personally wouldnt have noticed any gaps if you guys had better things to do than to point out these little oddities with your phones. My device is perfect in my eyes so I think that's all that matters. Wow this phone feels nice. Not the easiest to grip without a case but it's very easy on the eyes.

I have the opportunity to get a note2 but I can't stand the Verizon logo on the home button. It just looks out of place. I didn't see anything in the stickies so has there been any tutorials on removing this logo successfully. Is it on the surface where u can rub it off or is it coated with gloss finish on top of it.

I did find some vinyl overlays. That would be the way to go if they stick. Anyone ever used them?
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
The button logo doesnt bother me as much as the big friggin logo printed on the back of the phone. Makes it look like bumper stickers all over a car lol!
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
The logo seems non existent to me. It's less noticeable on the gray version vs the white version, IMO.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 4
The logo is not bad on the gray one. I don't understand why some people make a big deal about it. The white version does stand out a lot more but in my opinion getting the white one is kinda like saying "I want my phone to look like an iphone, but still be useful."

There is a gentleman on here (can't remember his name though) that makes the vinyl overlays in different colors that are really kick ass. I ordered a few different versions from him. They stay on and look good. I wish I could remember off hand who it was. He did post them here in the general section, although that was probably a year ago now. Do an XDA search for them and I'm sure his stuff will pop up.

I've tried the vinyl stickers and they weren't a good match. Under certain light, it would either look purple or blue. I also don't like the Spigen buttons because they don't match. The closest match I've found to the gray is the Gunmetal button from Mime.
http://mimeusa.com/product/aluminum-home-button-for-note-2/
It was $1 with my screen protector, so I figured I would try it, and it's a near perfect match.

I bought these and the sgp ones. After using the vinyl ones for a week, I switched the spg and never looked back. The vinyl doesn't cover the button fully and it has a weird gloss to it. Overall, I think it makes the phone look cheaper from an aesthetic standpoint. The raised button from spg was actually way better. I found that it feels more like an actual button and it covers the button fully. Especially if you have a white or grey phone, the buttons match the phone way better.

It was only gunna be a big deal to me because i actually use sprint. The guy had a sprint version that had the screen replaced with a Verizon screen. So I didn't want a sprint phone with a Verizon logo. Luckily I found someone else to trade me with a stock sprint screen. I traded my black htc one for a grey note2
