Since last night after partying I noticed my power button started becoming unresponsive I have to push on it pretty hard to lock and unlock screen. Any suggestions? Even with the cover off same thing.

I've searched all over, but I can't find the answer. Several times a day I have to use the power/volume down to restart my phone because it won't come out of sleep mode. It doesn't do it every time. I know there are others with this problem, but I haven't been able to find out why it happens or how too prevent it. Please help.

When mine has been sleep a long time I have to push and hold power to get it to wake up. Try it.

Same, I just have to hold it until it wakes up. See if that works

I've held it for about thirty seconds with no luck. Does it take longer than that? It doesn't matter how long it's been asleep, sometimes I can turn off the screen and immediately try to turn it back on and it won't work.

No not that long. What firmware are you running? Maybe you have a dodgy power button?

Are you using spotify?
That happens to me when that's on in the background every once in a while..
After unrooting, uninstalling every app I had then doing a factory reset and still having the same problem, I finally gave up and took it into the Verizon store. They said there was going to be a software update in mid April that would fix it, or I could get a new phone. My new phone will be here Tuesday.

Mine is stock and just did this today.

LOL mine wont go into sleep or turn off unless I hit the power button.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen?
Sometimes mine will act possessed and have phantom touches. Alot of times I try to touch the back arrow, or the menu key and it registers the touch for one of the apps in my dock.

Is you device plugged into the charger when this happens?
On the Razr, the screen would sometimes act up when it was charging, but unplugging it solved the problem.
If it is when your charging then you have an incompatible charger
You need an 1 amp charger

no, this happens off & on without being on the charger

i have noticed this if there is a little bit of water on the screen or a moist part that it does that. the fix is to shut the screen off, dry it, and turn it back on again and you should be good
I also had problems with a 3rd party lockscreen (eg. GO Locker) causing the multitouch to be messed up, but that's probably not the problem you're having.
If your under warranty then send it in
It will only get worse

Do you have a screen protector, case, etc when you are using it?
Nope straight screen

Did you try touch test to see where it would be coming from?

I just noticed a weird issue with my LTE that i don't remember it doing initially. When the unit is completely powered off if I tap the power button the phone powers back on. Not a normal hold power in for 2 to 3 secs, but a tap. Sometimes the tap does nothing, bit it turns on at the weirdest times. I noticed the other day when I tapped power button to see if thw phone was off like I always do that it came on about 10 secs later. I took my case off thinking that was the problem but it didn't make much diference. Anyone see this yet?

This may be a dumb question, but do you have "fastboot" enabled?
"We're coming from a pure power source"
Sounds to me like normal operation
First thing I could think of.
"We're coming from a pure power source"
You turn yours off? I only do that when I reboot. lol

Yea, had to jump on the plane this week, and was in a no service area for a week so just turned it on to get access to notes and things but then turned it back off. Sometimes I'd tap later to make sire it was off and it would accidentally power up.
And fastboot is disabled, has been for over a month. Just checked again to be sure.

From the manual shouldn't it be press and hold to power on and just a quick press to turn the screen on/off when the phone is powered on?

I've always noticed any press on the power button when the phone is off would turn it on. The OG was the same way.
I know I've forgot the phone was off multiple times and tapped power for a second to wake the screen and it would turn on

Ok, I guess I'll get used to it, even if this is apparently how its always been. Seems odd to me, but what can you do. Thanks.

Have to hard reset it or plug it in to charge for the screen to turn on. Anyone? Experience this?

I had it happen once, but not in a couple weeks and plugging it in, didn't work for me. It acted like it was turned off, but required a hard reset to turn on.
A little annoying but just a minor flaw. Has happened to me once. Yesterday, actually.
Every now and then, my screen will freeze up and become unresponsive. Just once in a blue moon. But when it does happen, I have to go through the hassle of taking my case apart to do a battery pull. I searched up a soft reset method, like I would use when my old fascinate or gnex froze so I didn't have to pull the battery.I found that long pressing the power button will perform a soft reset. However, when it froze, it didn't do anything? I had to do a battery pull. When I turned it back on, I pressed the power button for 30+ seconds. It didn't do anything. Is there something I'm doing wrong or what? I'm on CR 3.1 and Saber Kernal if that means anything.
TIA!

You should really look into running a rom that does not freeze up on you.
But anyways it looks like the battery pull is your only option all long as touch screen is unresponsive
Make sure your super user updates or go down a level that solved my oroblem

You cannot really soft reset the Note 2 since you are able to pull out the battery unlike other devices like Droids in which don't have access to battery.
You should get a new rom if you do in fact freeze.

I should, but it doesn't happen often and when it doesn't freeze everythings pretty much perfect. I've been using CR 3.1 since march and everything's set up perfectly.
Well, not 3.1 since march. Just dirty flashed some updates.
