Only use SE update service or I suggest you to use custom Roms.

SEUS is a way better than PCC.
Download from here http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/ and update easily the phone.

Do i have to unroot\repair to update firmware after rooting?

Rooted the x10 mini pro with the exploid guide.
Do the phone have to be unrooted\repaired to get firmware update?
No should work fine without unrooting.
ok, maybe different firmware between pro and mini.
An unrooted mini was notified of an update that had to be done with pc companion, but the rooted pro is still on 1.1.A.0.8.
Maybe wait for 2.1 instead.
Try with SEUS, PC Companion is unreliable.

[Q] X10 Stock Rom

does anyone know where to find SE x10 stock rom my friend intalled a unstable rom and forgot to back up his original one any help?
Do you want 2.1 or 1.6? I can help you with 2.1 only. And these are SE firmwares.
Sent from XDA Premium from my X10a rooted running 2.2.1 Pure CM Rom from kxhawkins
Use SEUS Sony Ericsson Update Service), this install stock rom.
I have the same problem. I need to restore the stock rom but when I try to use SEUS or PC Companion I receive a message saying that my phone already have the latest software.

I did it, but didn´t work. It says I have the lastest software.
But I installed the last X10a Generic firmware from here and now at least SEUS and PC Companion works, including the repair.
Is not the same ROM I had on my phone, but I think I´m able to get the officials updates now.
Im in the same situitation, I found this convuluted way to go back to the 1.6 that involves command lines and command prompts Im a little scared to try it

Where i found the Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6 for X10mini Pro?

I need the Original Firmware to update over CWM.
SEUS update only the last Firmware to 2.1.1.C.0.0.
Where i can find this Firmware? Can anybody upload this?
(Sorry for my english)
I used pc companion instead to update to 2.1- update 1. 2.1.1.A.0.6 or I'm sure if you use the 'search' function itl be on xda somewhere.

Sony Companion PC not showing/having X10 repair?

The Companion app dosent list the X10 under US, but UK, and it shows two versions of it. When i try to repair my phone this way, it says there is no software avalaible for it.
I just want to return to stock 2.3.3 so i can unlock bootloader. another question would be if that the 2.3.3 Aro file would suffice for this.

You can do it with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service). You don't need to downgrade nothing. When ever I wanted to go back to stock from custom roms, I did it with SEUS, without single problem. Just download Update Service from Sony official site, run it and follow instructions.

Repair option doesn´t exist. But do not repair, just flash stock rom ( fresh install).

So flashing the 2.3.3 offical Rom that started circulating when Gingerbread came out would be considered stock?

I always used SUES but it only said that the newest software is already installed and there was nothing I could do. Maybe they've changed it already, last time I used SUES was more than half year ago.
PS. And You're right. If I downgraded my baseband I didn't select repair but flash new firmware.
