Why is the scrolling on the X10 so laggyer even on custom roms compared to the X8?

Try my DiXperia6 - is there the same lag?
If your X10 laggs when you scroll down or up pages you should apply the fps uncap (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192867), after i did that everything was very smooth. If this is already included in the custom rom you are using and it still laggs, i cant really help you (maybe overclocking helps). But the reason why the X8's scrolling might be smoother is the way lower resolution of its screen:
X8: 320 x 480
X10: 480 x 854

Hey there dev's and users...sorry to bother...
i've noticed that SE xperia mini, mini pro, active, live with walkman have the same cpu/gpu/ram as xperia arc/ray/play but they have lower screen res...
sooo....
if you use a game which is built for arc/ray/play it would run on the lower res devices but some buttons/options wouldn't be able to be used because of the screen resolution...
is there any way to fix the apk of the game so it could be used in the lower res devices?
because those games aren't available for our devices normally...

no games' resolution cant be changed but there is a way to change the screen density of your phone.Once i accidentally changed my screen density my phone was completely destroyed so i wouldnt suggest you to try it.If you want to though try googl-ing -> android screen density tool or somethin like that
Change the screen resolution dpi in build.prop. needs root. Apps on market will also do it for you

WHAT is the actual wallpaper size of Xperia Mini Pro / XMP / SK17i
and also y is d music and videos of my xperia not working ???
640x480 should be the wallpaper size,
and try going to mange applications>all>media storage,
and clear data. install QuickPic instead of stock gallery, coz it's better.
but i saw dis for XMP:- 320 x 480 resolution

The right background resolution is 640x480 because it scrolls the background...
thanks so much buddy....
Hi all , My xperia S isnt super speedy with its dual core cpu , so i was thinking , maybe the 720p resolution is harder for the phone to render so , is there a way to change the resolution of the screen to qHD or something ?
And i know there are some apps that change DPI , i want resolution change , like on a pc monitor .....
You can't do that. The screen only supports one mode.
Not possible

its just sony's ICS
if you want a smooth phone try unlocking your bootloader and get CM9.1, its smoother then the ROM from Sony. And if Jellybean ever gets the camera fixed i'd suggest to get CM10 instead.
I owned a Sony Xperia S lt26i.
it will lags constantly while playing some games, i think it is because of its high screen resolution. (correct me if i'm wrong)
If i want to change whole device screen resolution from 1280x720 to 960x540
I just need to change the lcd density/screen resolution at build.prop and change all apps to 960x540 compatible (included launcher) , then change the details of my model to Xperia P (which is a 960x540 resolution)
Is it my steps will work?
any help is appreciate
bump~
bump is allowed?
I was wondering if it was possible to change the rendering resolution of the phone from 1080p down to 720p? But I still want to retain the scaling of things. The reason I want to scale it down is because I'm fine with 720p if it means I can push the processor to perform better on games (because it's rendering fewer pixels) and to save battery (smaller screen resolution would mean less stress on the processor = more battery saved).
Just to clarify, I'm not looking to change the DPI, I can use the App Settings xposed module for that. What I want is to lower the rendered resolution so that the processor doesn't have to spend more resources in displaying things.
