[Q] Internal storage lost on The Cm7 Alpha final - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

when i used CM7 Alpha ver12, i try to unlock the internal storage of NT 16gb and i have successful.
it mounted as a SD Card and the data on it never be erased after up another rom.
so, after i up the lastest rom CM7 final, NT doesn't recognized the internal storage and it show: thics device doesn't have internal storage.
Is it the big bug on this ROM???
If not, please show me the way to solve this problem.
Thanks and regards.

Take a look at this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23487384&postcount=139
It involves modifying the build.prop to allow access to the internal partition.

[Q] SD card not Recognized and wrong amount of storage displayed

Droid X2 on Eclipse 2.3 (now on CM10)
with a 32GB Sandisk (link to: ht tp://goo.gl/ h9Mai (remove spaces))
My phone has become very slow, so i decided to reinstall Eclipse, so I booted into recovery, wiped the data and cache then tried to install Eclipse. within a few seconds, it came up with an error saying that the file was bad. I rebooted the phone and reformatted the SD card, now the internal storage ( in Settings>Storage settings) now only gives me the option to format internal storage and the SD card gives me the option of formatting or mounting the card. There is also a notification saying Preparing internal storage, Checking for errors. I selected the Format SD card and after it finished formating, it now says that the card only has 4.3GB of storage. Any suggestions or Fixes?
The Bootstrap Recovery can read the two memories without any issues, and i did a SBF back to 2.3.4 and had the same issue
I Just installed CM10 and the problem persists, The SD card says insert a sd card for mounting (it is inserted) and the Internal storage says Mount SD card

If it gives you the option to mount the SD card, do so. It's my understanding that after reformatting the SD card you have to mount it for it to be used with your phone.
Unmounted means your SD card is in your phone, but not connected to anything so you can safely remove it. Mounted means your SD card is in your phone AND it is integrated into the phone's system and can be used for data storage.
And possibly adding to your confusion is that Eclipse has a mod called SD card flip-flop, which reverses the naming of your internal storage and external SD card. Check out this link that explains it in depth http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229294
Cyanogen Roms do not use the SD Card flip-flop mod, and they also name the storage locations slightly different than the stock Rom.
Thank you, but as it turns out the SD card it self is not working. I plunged it in to my computer with an SD card adapter and it didn't show up. I assume that the card has become corrupt, so I will be replacing it. Their is one thing that confuses me however, and Is how bootstrap recovery is capable of reading the card, but the phone when booted normally or the computer can not.

And for future knowledge, you cannot flash a ROM over CM10. Theres an issue that CM10 has with flashing ROMs. Other stuff flashes fine. Just not ROMs. So that would explain why you had a problem flashing Eclipse when you were on CM10. The right process is to SBF and start over or restore a nandroid backup of Ice Cream Sandwich or Gingerbread and go from there. On top of that, Eclipse is on 2.3.5 while every other ROM is on 2.3.4. So flashing a 2.3.5 ROM on 2.3.4 will also not work.

Quick Internal Storage Question!

This isn't my tablet, I used to have a Gtab from 2010-2012. This is my cousin's tablet and he recently bricked it. I just updated his boot loader from 1.1 to 2.2 and flashed a Jelly Bean rom. My question is, since he was in a Ginger Bread rom previously and had his internal storage partitioned. How do I partition the internal storage with 4.X.X to be able to use all ~12GB of internal storage for apps? Right now it is showing ~4GB available space for apps, but when you go to storage. It shows an internal storage of ~12GB. Only when you go to Applications does it show ~4GB.
Thank you.

Hello, the 4GB yuo see is for internal application storage (sometimes referred to as "phone" storage). The 12GB is for photos, videos, etc. Some ROMs can use this storage for applications too - check with your ROM developer (andbe sure to thank them!).

[Q] Sd-card mounting problem

Hey guys,
I am facing a problem with my external storage on my Samsung galaxy II.
The apps on my device can't find the external storage, so I can't download files to my external storage or use my camera. Altough, when I search for it in my explorer I find sd-card0 and sd-card1. Sd-card1 seems to be my external storage and I can simply open it and use my files. Sd-card0 on the other hand is not found.
My guess is that my apps try to use the sd-card0, the one that doesn't exist, for storage instead of storing on sd-card1.
This problem emerged after rooting the device and installing CM 10.2, at this point I am running the Slim_4.4.2 ROM but the storage problem isn't solved.
Does anyone know how I could fix this?
i recommend a clean reinstall ( including a thorough format of system data , cache , INT SD AS WELL AS EXTERNAL SD via cwm )
sdcard 0 is ur internal memory
sdcard1 is ur external storage
apps are stored on sdcard0 not sd card 1(since move to sd feature was remmoved after jb)
as the previous one recommended a clean wipe can solve this
the problem may be arised probably due some root app interfering with your stoage and made some files corrupt when you were rooting
if clean wipe doesnt work try flashing stock with pit file
Note:cm10.2 has problems with storage and wasnt stable for s2

Internal Card - USB storage partition got disappered

Hi
I have got a problem that my USB storage partition is not visible or functionally not available in the Internal Memory after I increased the internal memory. I used a PIT file of 8GB and now the phone displays that 8GB only as the device storage.
After expanded my device storage I have upgraded the phone with Cyanogenmod 12.1 and now my Androd version is 5.1.1 ( But I don't think this upgrade is the reason why I got this issue, because I have done this update earlier also without any issues). Its ok that I can still go ahead with the current storage configuration in my phone but the problem is when using apps like Whatsapp and all. Those applications require access desperately to internal Memory(USB storage partition).
Looking forward experts help and suggestions on this. Appreciate your help.
Regards,
I'm not an expert, but have you tried to wipe all partitions in recovery after the repartition?

Default storage on Acer Liquid Z630

Hi,
I own an Acer Liquid Z630 that I successfully rooted following this guide. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP and installed the SU zip, everything's working perfectly.
But during the process, my phone somehow decided to "switch" internal storage and external SD card, making SD card the default storage. SD card is now labelled as sdcard0 and internal memory as sdcard1, while it should be the opposite, and apps data are now written on the SD card instead of the internal memory.
When I unmount the SD card, internal storage becomes default storage again and is correctly labelled as sdcard0, but as soon as I mount it again, the same problem happens.
I want default storage to always be internal storage, even if the SD card is mounted, like it was before. I don't want my phone to write any file on my SD card, I only want files I put myself to be on my SD card.
I tried factory reset, but it remained the same. I did a little searching and saw a lot of threads with people asking how to make SD card the default storage (in my case, that's the exact opposite), but apparently, on Lollipop there's no way to change default storage. But it did change when I rooted my phone...
I also thought about updating to Marshmallow, as I heard storage is managed differently, but there's no official upgrade by Acer, and I could'nt find any unofficial port for Z630.
This has been bothering me for quite a while now and I don't konw what to do anymore, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Anyone ?

I have an UNROOTED ACER LIQUID Z630 and it does the same.
Its not a matter of it being rooted or not; every time you mount an SD card, memory option nÂș1 for the mobile is SD card.
