I bought the GOLD 2430 from ebay and it was worse than stock battery. It was too good to be true
Sent from my Xperia Neo using XDA
I bet in reality its a 1500Mah battery with a fancy 1900Mah
(Not sure if its Mah , to lazy to re check )
Buy those portable USB charging thingy, SAFE AND WORTH IT
The one which sdk16420 is a good one
Check ebay for deals
Well I do not if its really 1900 battery and it the same size as the stock and use the stock cover.
All I know it does perform better, about 3 hrs to fully charge from 10% and does last longer the the 1500 stock. Currently WCDMA on 56% left after 13 hrs, standby 43%, display 21%, phone idle 13%, media 6% calls 4% wifi, K9 mail, system, face book and lookout 8%.
It may be that my 10 month old stock battery is not holding charge
Don't about the 2430 one
edit
Currently WCDMA on 8% left after 1d 17 hrs, cell standby 36%, wifi 18%, display 16%, phone idle 15%, se home 3%, android 3%, media 3% calls, K9 mail, system, face book and lookout 8%.

uh, 1700mah would really be worth it...
has somebody already tried those?
just curious if there might be risks in getting 350mah extra..dont want to brick my hd ;D
there are no risk in changing the size but if it is a cheaply made battery then something might go wrong.
yeah, thats what I meant..i'm a little bit scared of such batteries unless I got a positive review from someone ;-)
I use the 2600mah battery. Remember this refers to the storage capacity of the battrey, not how much juice it puts into the phone. My battery (from ebay) gives the phone at least twice the life. I use the GPS (tomtom) a fair bit and it makes a big diffrence. Before this I used a large aftermarket battery on my trinity for at least 2 years with no ill effect.
Note: these batteries need a larger back on them which is supplied.
I will eventually buy this 1700 mAh battery in the next weeks and post short review if it's worth the money. Actually there is very little risk to use a aftermaket battery, dasferg is totally right is't just the storage capacity it's practically the same battery with more juice!!
This one don't need a larger back on them!!! It is standard size, and you will
not need a lager back cover!!
Please send a feedback after you have test it
I've also ordered this battery, it should arrive very soon.
Ill make a review aswell
got it yesterday, recharged it to full while being off.
28 hours later its on 99%. Havent used it alot tbh.
20 mins of phone calling, and 40 mins of music.
Why not buy a second 1350 mAh to replace whn the other one is empty?
Here:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.23961
for just $4,90.
By the way. I don't think the battery you mentioned really stores 1700mAh.
They just print 1700mAh because it sells and nobody ever checks if it is really true.
I also found a 2500mAh battery, obviously larger than the stock one. It comes with a replacement cover as well, also larger than the normal one, to accommodate the larger battery. I'm planning to buy it tomorrow, I'll test it and let you know how it works.

What a good idea, I'm waiting !!!
as far as ive researched the best battery atm that fits in the original HTC cover is the 1500mAh mugen power..
there are ones like Power Akku that is 1700mAh but arent CE approved or properly tested...
seems to me akku are like a cheap dodgy no name brand which is why i wouldnt recommend it
is it worth the cash for 11% more juice?
Sure, there will be situations where you need to do someting and you curse yourself for not buying another hour of power, but it won't change your charging habits. 33% might, 50% would...
[tho @ £9.95 from blueunplugged.com it wound't hurt to have a bigger one to swap out with]

Just got back home with the new 2500mAh battery. First impression: the device looks bulkier with the larger battery in place and is, obviously, heavier. There is a small advantage here, though, you can stash up to 4 extra microSD's between the area below the battery (sim and microSD slot) and the cover. I'm charging the battery now, I'll stress test it when it reaches 100% and post the results.

The 1700 mAh has about 26% more juice over the 1350 mAh, i won't change my charging habits. But i hope my HD will have juice for a whole day... i'm permanently running Skype in the background an this eating up my battery like mad!
Yesterday evening I turned my HD off and charged the 1700mAh to max.
Turned the phone on again yesterday at midnight.
I've used it alot today by using coreplayer to watch an episode of Sopranos, and like 1 hour of music. Called for like 30 mins. Used MSN for like 3 hours through HSDPA and Opera for about 10 mins. Now, roughly 26hrs later, it's at 70%.
note, I have HSDPA always on.
I bought this and used it for a month now, happy with it, performs like my original HTC battery.
Looks almost identical, but 1500mAh instead. Like to have the 1700mAh, but difficult to justify the price difference!

Anyone know of a seller that ships to the US? The above seller only ships to Europe.
Hi all,
at the moment, my hero sprint (I think this is the proper name) is running on the factory 1350mAh battery. I am pretty content, but I am reading about 1800mAh batteries that should live a lot longer! But on the batteryboss.org I see most are just rip-offs.
Whats the battery of your choice? What are your results and: where did you order it?
I am more than open for all advice about this subject, as long as the battery fits in the stock opening. I do not want my hero to become any bigger than is is
htcheroblog.com/2010/02/14/mugen-power-1550mah-3200mah-htc-hero-battery-review/
Read the five pages and it should give you an idea as to which battery (if any) you want.
Unless your away from your charger for more than one night then the standard htc battery should be sufficient, although I personally have the huuuuge 3200mAh battery which is amazing and lasted over 40 hours for me even with wireless and gps pretty much constantly on. Hope that helped

I also have a 3200 mAh battery and its lasted 14 days on minimal use! That's how good the Hero can be! I use the stock Battery for day to day use though as I get 2 days out of it usually.
I use 2200mAh purchased from Clove uk (part number is HTC-BATEHEROW-B15).
My battery goes down to 60-70% after a day use, WiFi on all time and quite a lot of calls.
It used to go down to 20-30% with the orginal battery.
The real good thing is that the phone has now taken an extra 5mm of thickness and this extra bit makes it much much easier to hold on my hands.
The cover color is real white and does not match the white Hero color, no big deal.

I dont expect many will have a much higher capacity worth buying if you dont want to add depth to the phone soory
If anyone is interested the Clove batteries (2200mAh) are only £7ish delivered to the UK now!
It may be a pricing error? no idea, either way Ive ordered!
Only available in white though... but almost twice the power for less than a 10er! Im in!
(I will probably cover the back cover in stickers anyway... its what all the Apple people do so its easily acceptable for a Android user to do it lol)
I also bought one And thank god i ahve a white hero
i bought one too...
Well my order just got cancelled by them because apparently they arnt in stock (even though they have been on the site listed as 'in stock' for the past few days) and they have removed the item from the site!
Havn't responded to my email asking if my money has been returned either!

I have a 3200 mAh battery somewhere. But I really don't like the bulky back. When using Froyo, I had to use it as my phone wouldn't survive 12 hours with the stock battery. Now, running Gingerbread, a 1500 mAh battery I bought from DealExtreme for 5 USD lasts about 20 hours normale use.

You do have to cut away a little bit of the plastic though. But they are cheap, I've got two of them now, one in the phone and one charged in my pocket.
I think this is as big as it's going to get without having to replace the backdoor?

Digging up old thread but just wondered, has anyone used those 1550 mAh replacement batteries.
I'd like to buy one from ebay but i don't know if it is worth it.
Thanks in advance
There's 3200 mAh, 2200 mAh, 1550 mAh, and the stock 1350 mAh batteries.
I have the 2200 mAh version.
Its only $13.75 USD and is smaller than the 3200 mAh version.
It comes with the back case and lasts almost twice as long as the stock battery.
I wouldn't spend +$79 on just a battery. I'd rather buy 2 2200 mAh batteries. Cheaper and easier to carry.
Hi,
I found a compatible with BST-38 (for the mini pro) Li-ion 3.7V and 1420 mAh (my phone battery is Li-Po 3.6V and 970 mAh), do you think that can be "dangerous" to use one of these batteries? (The brand name is Jin Dian and what worries me is if this difference of 0.1V can damage the mobile, whether it will be more or less good in general) You can see it on ebay (220676929621).
I'm just desperate because I tried autokiller, setCPU, advanced task manager, juicedefender, etc. (droid wall and Wisync didn`t work properly in my phone), but my battery dies in less than 15 hours...I need a solution!
Thanks and sorry for my poor English
15 hours using it how? full? idle?
SE says with android 2.1 the battery life will be increased 200%, maybe before to burn your phone you should wait a couple of weeks and try if it is true... xD
15 h with data connect on for k-9 email, but without BT, wifi and a couple of calls.
I bought the same battery and have been using it for the past 4 days. To be honest, it lasts about the same as the stock's. Maybe with a few more cycles, it would last longer.
But does anyone know of any app that could measure the mAH?
There is a BST38 battery with 1930 mAH selling on eBay but will burn a HUGE hole in your pocket!

Great! I haven't got any money, so I can't buy this battery, but I hope so you'll write what about this battery you think
interesting, thanks to someone who buy this ;P
Could do with a bigger battery, might buy it.
Price is pretty decent. All battery prices for G1 batteries have dropped compared to a few years ago.
The price for this one is probably less than I paid for my 1st replacement.
Its price is a lot less than the 2600 mAh one from Seido http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BACY26TMG1-BK The Seido battery makes the G1 even look more like a brick then it already does
Looks like a good alternative if the claims from the manufacturer are correct.
Usually they are not....
I hope that after three months, battery does not begin to lose their power.

Got it a while ago. Not actually performing that high, more like 1700 mAh. Still a nice improvement. This battery +14 MB ram hack + way underclocking when screen off = ~2 days use.
So.. Better to buy 1700mAH battery? I have a Eclair with Sense on my G1 and I have underclocking when screen is off. 2430mAH or 1700mAH ?

I bought the battery off ebay and it said (in the page desc. and on the battery) 2300 mAh, but I asked the seller and they said it is a 1700 (don't think we can get li-ion that small for that much juice for that price...yet). So get the biggest you can get. I also bought a big-ass battery (one that doubles the thickness), and that is a true 2400+ battery.
*I should clarify. Use for me=calls and texts. Wifi is almost always off and no data. Sorry, I know nearly no one does it like this. I have no data plan and got this phone for really cheap to mess around with android. Now I have a nook color that I'm using for everything
Before the nook color I could last a full day (7-10) and maybe be at 10%, but I never did too much surfing or anything, just email and whatnot.
The super large battery could easily last 2 days of heavy use (on it w/everything on for 7 hours?), if you don't mind a pocket bulge.

Another +1 for anker. Bought 2 w/ charger on Amazon and am enjoying longer battery life. The charger can charge battery, plus has a USB port to charge the phone simultaneously.

I bought Mugen on my last device. The stock was 1200mah, Mugen was 1500mah - I have not see any differences.
It's well-known Mugen is the best ;-)

I got the Mugen.
It lasts really longer, something like +40%, so on stock battery and GB my phone was dying quickly after lunch - but now upgraded with Mugen and debloated 4.0.3 - at the very late night.. ;-)
However the indication isn't very precise. The charge indicator drops from 100% till 90% within the first ten minutes after unplugging and further then descends till 0% pretty slow.
I bought 2 "Replacement batteries for HTC Evo 3D, HTC Amaze 4G, HTC Sensation 4G" on Amazon.ca in January, and the batteries have "REPLACEMENT FOR HTC EVO 3D" written in big bold letters on it. The batteries do fit in my Amaze, but they would turn the phone off completely when it was saying 15% battery life.
That pair of batteries came with a battery charger which has been good. I've since lost one of the batteries though. I'm looking into buying new ones. Here are my options (in Canada).
1) 2 Anker batteries that claim to support the Amaze with a universal charger (I can't post a link because I'm new, but theres only 1 Anker battery listing on Amazon.ca if you want to search it)
2) Call 1-888-617-1113 HTC Warranty support and ask them for a new battery. Apparently they give an extra battery for free. I'll likely do this anyways, but I'm not sure if they do this in Canada.
Can I trust the Anker batteries? Does anyone know if the batteries shown on this listing are the right ones for the Amaze? Thanks

Calling this number gets you a free battery as long as you send the old one back. If you don't send in the old one within 15 days your credit card is charged $40.
I know if you complain to T-Mobile they can send you another battery for the processing fee of $5. Of course you need a valid reason. Hopefully the new HTC one will fix some issues.

Amazon.ca Item Number B005B3RFTU fits the Amaze. Just received mine yesterday.
I'm cautiously optimistic - I charged one of these fully with the external charger and have been running it unplugged for 20 hours (9 hours sleeping, 11 with light / moderate use) and am still at 56%. I've not yet calibrated or "conditioned" the batter as per Anker instructions (full charge / deplete 5 times) so I fully expect the phone to die any minute now... or in the next few hours. I'll report back in a few days when I know more.
Edit: I realize that the user I replied to already has these, but I'll check in later anyway in case others are wondering.

The batteries I've tried were only andida and Hyperion . The andida battery gave me 2 to 3 hrs more than stock, stock battery lasted 15 hrs moderate use . The hyperions weren't so great. They would drop from 100 to 75 in about 45min continuous use but after that I would get about 10hrs of moderate use. I could kill the Hyperion in 3 hr of continuously usage. But be carefull wen charging non OEM batteries on phone do not leave them charging over night one time I woke up and phone was really hot to touch and would not turn on untill I did a battery pull.

2-3 hours more isnt enough for me to buy one, but i am interested in hearing about the anker battery. hehe
I'm about half way thru the conditioning as suggested by Anker and will be back with more info soon. So far it seems that they're very much worth the price.

Edit: Notes so far (incomplete) hth
Anker Batteries on HTC Amaze 4G
Battery A, 2nd Deplete
6am to 10:30p - 16.5h - died at 3%
Med to Heavy use, Fm radio 4h, Google Play Music (mostly pinned, some streamed) for 2h partially via Bluetooth, intermittent sync 8-5 Tasker. 4g / WiFi all day, GPS, auto brightness. 30m texting, 6m telephone, 1h tapatalk. 30m http.
Noticed: drops from 100 thru 90s very rapidly
Battery B, Second Deplete
10:30p to 6:30p - 20h - died at 7%
Light to Med use, intermittent sync 8-5 Tasker. 4g / WiFi all day, GPS, auto brightness. 10m texting, 10m telephone, 30m tapatalk. 30m http. 10m Tethering.
Noticed: drops from 100 thru 90s very rapidly,
but a lot of life between 60 > 20

so then would you say the anker battery is worth it? havev u heard on the mugen battery?
Yes, the Mugen is a better known brand but way more expensive for about the same mAh. I haven't heard as much about it around here as I have the Anker.
So I just about have the Ankers conditioned and have come to the conclusion that they are far better than stock. The idea that stock is 1730 mAh and these are 1900 mAh is odd to say the least. I'm wondering if a pile of the HTC batteries that everyone has are somehow rated wrong or defective.
After conditioning (fully charge in the external charger / fully deplete in the phone X 5 - seems like overkill, but I'll stick to it) I'll calibrate. I'm expecting that calibrating will improve the run time significantly, because as it is now, I can reboot the phone (usually into recovery), and upon reboot, I get a higher reading. For example, after using the phone for 10 hours, the battery reads 40%. Reboot into recovery says 60%. Reboot into the os gives me 60%. I expect a calibration to mitigate this.
Calibration: Charge with the battery IN the phone with the phone on to 100% / led goes green, unplug, turn off via recovery power down. With power off charge till led is green, uplug, fully boot, turn off via recovery power down again. With the power off charge till led is green once more. This process improved the stock battery, and I expect there to be an improvement on the Anker as well.
After all this is done and I get a chance to stress it for a few days I'll know more.

3.7v is not the right voltage for our phones, which ALL the aftermarket batteries are, this is really annoying to me... and I have since lost my OEM battery, now I don't know where to purchase a new OEM... I am sick of the mis-readings with the anker, I have calibrated this thing and while I do get decent battery life, I don't like that if I forget to charge it BEFORE I go to sleep so I can unplug as soon as it's green, then I wake up to a hot phone, and if I can tell my phone is hot through a Trident Kraken case, then I'm quite sure it's not good for the phone or battery...
so anyone know where to purchase a genuine amaze oem battery?
