Using up tons of data on the note - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

So I went on a little vacation trip this weekend and they didn't have wifi. I was able to use up 2.3GB of my 2GB plan in just 2 days on 4g hspa.

I think it's automatic backup that consumes a lot of data?

Why were you on your phone so much if you were on vacation? You must not be married or have kids...

I had similar results. We Had a destination wedding though and were uploading pics while on the road.
That and hours + hours of pandora
I came in just under 8gb that month.

Yeah pics will do that. 2.3 gigs in 2 days? Probably some Netflix. I usually have to rest from vacation since my wife cannot sit still much less let me use my phone or ipad for that matter.

Upload Speeds

Okay So yesterday at a friends and in which is in the middle of nothing. I was constantly getting atleast 4.00mb down. it was usually between 4.5 to 8 down.
Well anyways who has gotten upload speeds faster than a Meg? My AVG from about 20 tests was about 2mb up in that ONE location. I even pulled 3mbps upload a few times.
So why is the UPLOAD so fast. and THEN today in town my download AND upload was 1.12mb down and 1.12mb up constantly so I guess in town they have it capped

Rooting mistake

Hey, I'm new to rooting with Odin and I think I made a mistake trying to root. I flashed the telus root kernel and it seemed to succeed but it failed to boot. Panicking I flashed the other main root on the first Page which failed to write. Now it just boots to the telus boot screen then nothing. What should I do/flash? If you could help me ASAP as we're on vacation thank you'

Suck it Google Play Store Canada

I ended up driving from Ottawa to Ogdensburg NY and got my Nexus 10 from Walmart.
Shortest trip in a foreign country ever! A total of 12 minutes in USA.
How the hell did you travel to NY in under 12 minutes?

I think he meant he was in the U.S. (Walmart) for twelve minutes; not that his travel time was twelve minutes.
P.S. - Thanks OP. Our economy needs all the help in can get.
Lol. I was in the US for 12 minutes. And you're welcome.
God bless America, land of king Nexus.

How are the supplies though? A lot left?
And what did you say on the border on your way back? Lol
I think I snagged the last one. And at the border I told the truth. There is no duties on tablets anyway. Just paid the tax.

Check out this battery life...

So I am running - [ROM] i545-VRUEMK2_Stock_Root_Deodex (12/22/13)
I ran a few other Roms prior and decided I wanted to be as stock as possible.
Now take a look at this

Is this normal?
Music via bluetooth headset during my morning commute, social media, some gaming... (clash of clans)
thats really it, barely on it for voicecalls, sometmies I listed to a work conference call
but I am getting sub 10 days
What should I be getting?
I'm running the same ROM. It maybe your battery. I have like 4 batteries and thus one gives me awesome life. Zerolemon 3,000mah I think. 8$ from eBay
Also I use greenify to hibernate apps like Facebook and freeze bloat with TB. This screen time looks awesome only because I did a lot of reading "lone survivor" on night mode which doesn't use hardly any battery.

Who knew this phone was released right around the time man was landing on the moon and the day before the release of Unix?

Careless time travelers. Leaving this phone in a bar in 1969. Wonder how long it took the person who found it to figure how to turn it on?
I'm sure once they did..Far Out! would have been the exclamation..
No but really, imagine the phones we would be using now if this did come out back then......
