Hello,
Yesterday I thought to increase volume of the mobile by using Equalizer, audioboost sgs2 following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154759 I thought nothing changed after listening some songs from normal speaker so un-installed them and did Clear cache and David Cache now when I hear songs from Headphones (Came with mobile) sound is too loud at high before I used to listen at full volume but they were not so loud thought it might be player problem and tried different one all are same checked with N7,Power amp,Play Music,Stock music player in CM9.I think this apps did something. How to do check if they did something or not and How to reset them?
Reinstall the apps and set them to default settings or edit the modified scripts back to default

That's what happens when newbies start playing with their phones without doing anything but just installing and flashing. HOpe you have learned your lesson on both parts, read first and then act.
You don't have much choice but to do a factory reset of your phone...

If the apps didnt uninstall propertly, then its a bug and not his fault.
He should be careful and backup before changing system settings but you're just a mean troll.
I'm by no means being mean, I just don't have much tolerance for users that want to be spoon fed when they themselves haven't taken the time to do the research before modifying their phones

So I now use my Moto Atrix as my music player like I did with my Captivate. The only problem is, is that my music player randomly stops in the middle of the song. I go back to the player to press play and the song starts over......
this is one of MANY problems that I have been having with the Atrix.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Not sure what that issue is but you might want to try another music program. I messed around with the included player for a short bit but I got winamp and I really like it so far. There's quite a few other good options out there.
Hope you're able to figure something out.

Do you know of anything like the player on the iPod touch? Or something that works as good as the Samsung Android music player?
Edit: THANK YOU!!! Winamp is working amazingly and the problem has been fixed.
Edit: Continues to have the same damn problem....... f**k the Atrix
Still having the same issue with winamp? That seems odd... what file types are you using?

Do me a favor and post your bug in this thread on their support forum:

I've got the same problem. But one thing I am sure is that when you use task manager to kill background program, don't kill those you are not familiar with.I tried several times to find out what's impacting the music player, but finally,it turns out to be obscure.I mean when I erase everything from the kill list, music wont stop in sleep mode, but I cannot prescisely tell who are they.It seems that several programs together work on it.Most suspect those whoes string having 'media' in them.

Some people just react and blame instead of trying to find the solution.
I went through that once due to a task killer. I ignored the music app from the task killer, but eventually realized the task killer was not needed!

I now blame the Auto Kill ---- I don't have the Music app in the Auto Kill and I thought that the phone was acting dumb, so I guess the Auto Kill was being a little b*tch
Don't know if this is a fix for everyone but I was having the same problem. I removed the gallery app from the auto-kill list and it fixed the issue. I tested it several times by adding and removing the gallery app to and from the auto-kill list. Every time it was on the list, the music would cut out after sleep. Every time I removed it, everythnig functioned mormally.
ok i did my own tests today adding programs to auto-kill list and playing back audio in between. the playback issue only appears when the screen go dark . i focused first on apps that in my opinion had nothing to do with media and after all this time consuming process i found that adding certain programs creating the problem . here is the DO NOT list and hope this work for all of ya
1) gallery
2) purchased media*
3) music
* im sure this folder was created after sync with my itunes . i used motorola media link app ( free download from motorola site) which work like charm on my mac pro adding exactly that i checked. keep in mind that your case could be different depending on type of sync or adding media method so its up to you finding the correct folder. now if you sync via the mentioned moto app you maybe having other folders on list like podcasts or whatever you decided add to your phone storage . i cant confirm this because only folder i synced was purchased media . post your findings... peace!
why are you guys even bothering auto killing apps? thats a big no-no
+1 auto-kill = BAD JUJU
If your going to use a TaskManager, use it only to manually stop rogue processes or apps. Never let it run on its own.
I used OSMonitor to kill off apps as needed. There's tons out there, but only use one that doesn't run automatically.
Dude, seriously, are you 12 or something?
Grow up man!!

Agreed... I'm not sure why you feel the need to kill apps on a phone with a gig of RAM. The only thing it does is kills your battery when you have apps that continually try to restart, then the task killer kills them.
After running my phone without a reboot since Monday, and NO task killing, I still have around 250MB free, and have no problems running Dungeon Defenders, etc. No lag, no anything. Mind you, I run a live wallpaper, as well.
Hello. first up im new here but as i have been waiting 3 days for my activation email i have been reading a lot on this forum. but there is one thing i cant seem to find an answer for.
basically like everyone else i have the low audio jack output problem. i dont have a rooted phone and all this talk of pushing files to adjust some core settings really means nothing to me (this is my first Android phone). really couldnt work out if the phone had to be rooted or not.
as i was looking for a solution i came across Volume+ (i believe the inventor is on here and might have found the hard code fix everyone else is using) bought it and gave it a try and can confirm its definitely louder. BUT when i went to Setting -> Sounds, a new option appeared called "sound Effects" or "Music Effects" which gives me option to select between the new Volume+ and MusicFX. literally as i got here pop up screen "MusicFX has crashed" etc etc
is this normal??
what is musicFX? is it actually needed?
do i have to be rooted to do this Hard Code option that most people are using?
any help is greatly appreciated.
cheers

Music FX is the incorporated Samsung sound thing .
Will Vol + and Music FX crash yes in my experience .
Few are using hard code few are using DSP manager and yes you need root .
I can give no advice on sound level as i don't have that problem playing MP3 at level 4 normally .

Hi,
I am the proud owner of the HTC One X+ since March. And in the last couple of weeks I have a big problem with my audio.
I like to listen to music, but now it is impossible. This problem only occurs with headphones in. I have tried different headphones as well that I have tried different musicplayers. I have rebooted many times. Tried to listen with Wifi on/off etc...
The problem:
When I listen to music its randomly stops, goes to the next song, fastforward and he even goes to Google Voice and he randomly calls people in my contacts list when I am listening to music. Is there any kind of solution? I have tried everything with my little knowledge. Hopefully has someone the solution to this irritating problem...

Is your cell rooted? Which rom are you running? better factory reset your fone. its a Software issue from what i see..
I agree - its very rude of Google Voice to call people in a random order. At least, it should be alphabetical.....
1. You could try "Clear Data" for the music app and Google voice
2. You could install TWRP in place of the stock recovery. This will enable you to do 3 and 4 below (you can do it with a stock recovery too, but its easier with twrp. TWRP will also allow you to take a full backup of your phone)
3. You could try wiping the cache and dalvik cache
4. You could try booting into recovery and doing a factory reset. You will lose all apps and all data, so make sure you backup your calls/SMS/music/pics/documents etc.
5. If you have come here, then you could try rooting your phone and flashing a custom ROM

Okay I know Arise sound mod is pretty much the golden standard and as a matter of fact that's what I'm using atm. But with the development being simply great under RN3P, I'm finding myself flashing roms/updates every other day and while the TB is handy and some other apps to get my phone up and running in no time, it's not exactly the same for the Arise Sound Mod (ASM). You have to go through it's little niggling process to install it again and set it however you like. If it was just a matter of flashing an extra zip I wouldn't be raising this issue, and while I reckon it's something that takes like 5mins to be done, sometimes I'm so lazy I couldn't be arsed to do it (I know I'm a lazy bump). So I was thinking is there any alternative out there? Before ASM I recall Poweramp did leave a good impression on me and I may be going back to it and taking the premium version, but I wanted to know what do you guys think? Any other app or mod out there can be installed more easily?
Well nothing beats arise in terms of the sound quality that it gives. If you find it hard to get the configs going Everytime when flashing a new ROM, then you can use TiBu to backup data for the arise apps and then restore the data after flashing the mod and then a simple reboot will get you back on track.
This is IMHO 10X Better. Flash Nero Version and equalize all with Viper.

You can only backup the app data and configuration of like your settings for viper app and Dolby...You cannot backup the whole thing with TiBu...Just reflash the mod and restore data for it's apps....

Hello everyone,my Mi 10 has very low volume on notifications (calls, notifications, alarms) although I've set it to max..Its too low sometimes i miss calls or messages..anyone else with the same problems?or any solution?
Try a louder ring tone? Have you cleaned the speakers recently? Could be anything.
I've tried everything, louder ringtone, I've played a video from YouTube for cleaning speakers but it's not the speaker its something from the ui because when i see a video from YouTube or gallery its so loud that i have to lower the volume...its like the system volume its low...
Access developer settings and activate "disable absolute volume control".
I have a niggling feeling that'll be it..

Thank you very much for your help, unfortunately can't find this settings in developer options..maybe they delete it in miui12... :/
The option is there. I have it myself. You need to scroll down a bit.
Nope can't find it... I'll attach a screenshot of my developer options
I don't have that option either. I'm on Global 12.2.1.0 Stable
I concur, it's definitely not there. In older versions it was the first option under the USB section, should have been under Bluetooth as in other phones..
Odd. Very odd. Obviously you've tried setting a known high volume ringtone as a notification and had the same low volume results? The only suggestion I have at the moment is to clear the cache of all apps and reboot.. See if it persists..
Yes...the same sound playing from music app its very loud...when i set it for call/sms/notification its very very low... :/ You suggesting to wipe everything from the boot screen?
If you are on stock rom you can wipe the cache from the security app or via fastboot.
If you are on custom rom you can either download an app to do it or do it via fastboot.
DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING ELSE. ONLY WIPE CACHE.

No im on stock rom,if i wipe the cache I'll loose data from all apps?
Edit:
Sorry for my mistake about loosing data,i cleaned the cache through security app did reboot but nothing...its clearly a bug because its only in system sounds that are low,as i said when playing the ringtone through music app is clearly louder...anyway thanks a lot @shivadow
In all honesty being on a custom rom is probably 99% of the problem. You can always investigate adjusting volume files in root, if at all possible. Some are, some aren't.

Hi try this app, This might work for you.
It will increase ringtone volume to 100% before receiving normal call.
P.S tested on galaxy devices.

Your friend faced the same issue?maybe something goes wrong when you do factory reset because my phone was like yours,i bought it 4 months old and did factory reset...Anyway,the only solution that I've settled is using an app from playstore "volume booster-speaker booster & Sound booster" and ot works for me,if you download the same app every now and then open it and exit because the system stops it..!(for example if you clear the recent apps from the tab)
