halo, noob need help here..
why everytime iam gonna check my carrier information *123# my streak always pop up error information: connection problem or invalid MMI code. i used xl axiata carrier. and my streak using custom rom dsc 0,73 from _n0p_.
and my next question, how we turn off the phone call sensor in streak, so if we call and talk to someone and the phone touch our ear, the phone light will not sleep. because i use some custom case that cover almost all the upper side of streak.

USSD codes such as yours do not work in any of the Gingerbread ROMs based on the 407 ROM. Cyanogenmod and Miui may be a different story but I cannot be sure.
As for the proximity sensor, it cannot be shut off as far as I know.
USSD requests won't work (if they don't on 407) on any GB ROM. All uses same baseband interface library.
During proximity sensor fix tests I successfully disabled sensor, but I don't think this hack should be released.

Anyway, so USSD codes cant work on 407 ROM based on DSC 0.73. How about the full version of DSC 1.0? I read on the details that the dev team have some USSD codes hack.

Hi guys
I have searched on the forum and noticed that their are allot of great Roms out their. I wanted to know if any one can assist me pointing me in the right direction in choosing a Rom that will suit the following needs and resolve some issues that I am currently experiencing.
Issues
Frequently when I receive a call my phone rings but I have no option of answering the phone (phone doesn't recognize that I am receiving a call)
Some times only the bottom part of the touchscreen functions
When I am charging the phone it goes haywire if I Unlock it (while charging), the phone activates functions randomly as if some one is just pushing randomly on functions on the screen.
The network coverage some times just disappears, only after placing the phone into air Airplane Mode and then switching Airplane Mode off again does the network coverage come back on again.
I frequently get an error especially when browsing (as well as on apps on random) where a pop up screen appears that request to force close the application ("The Application Call log extension (process com. sonyericsson.eventstream.callogplugin" has stopped unexpectedly). Please try again.), even though when you force close the application nothing happens and the app continues operating as usual.
Other Than that most applications function correctly (WiFi/3G/Camera (no zoom or flash)) and all other recent aps such as evernote etc.). Though the phone still has a dreaded battery life of a day/2 days if lucky and is laggy.

I require a mod that offers "reliability" while still allowing the functionality regarding the essentials (wifi/3G/camera(using google camera)/Web/mail/business applications ex evernote/dropbox etc.) - (cant have a client calling me and the phone cuts out or I cant answer or the phone, mysteriously freezing requiring a reboot)

Really is available very much ROMs, each of them has the advantages and you should choose. For the beginning, install and test an official SE 2.3.3
After that there will be a possibility to install unofficial ROMs and to compare with each other.
am running ewjet 2.3 rom had it for a while now and love it smooth fast and well themed try it
Wolfbreak is very stable rom. Also T.E.A.M. rom is very stable choice. It depend a bit on personal preference though just have a mess arqound c which suits u best.

Isn't a rom, its a kernel. Don't think doom has made a rom I'm aware of.

So I've been trying to enter some of the 'Secret codes' from this page and have run into a weird problem. Basically some of the codes work (Not very many, IMEI being one that does) but the majority do nothing. The dialer simply sits there and when I then call the number, which I realise shouldn't be necessary, I get an error of Invalid MMI or connection problem.
There have been a significant amount of threads on XDA and the web but the most relevant ones seem to be from Galaxy Nexus owners. This thread for example highlights my problem exactly so it may be something to do with ICS/CM9 that I've overlooked. Another user in the fast dormancy thread also has the same issue so I don't think it's an isolated issue. I've also taken the following steps to try and resolve the issue (Worked for other devices/threads I came across):
- Turn off DTFM tones in Phone - Settings. I don't have this option.
- Turn off touch pad tones. Doesn't work.
- Turn off Speaker phone before entering codes. I don't have this option from within the phone app.
Has anyone else ran into this or know of any solution? Any help would be appreciated
Same here, using official Samsung ROM
It's because you use a custom ROM which does not have the Samsung dialer (or a service linked to this dialer).
In other terms, only Samsung dialer can "read" these secret codes.

Until I began using CM9 recently I only ever used stock based ROMs and couldn't get the codes working. A user above me seems to be the same. Some of the samsung specific codes did work from memory but a vast majority of them didn't. Seems to be hit or miss :/

Thats what i found some work some don't even tried SGS tools etc .
I belive the posted codes came from SGS not SGS2 . Possible a difference ???

Indeed, if you have one secret code working, it means you use Samsung dialer.
I guess Samsung did not implement all functionalities behind these codes. I don't think there's a workaround, but maybe I'm missing something.

Just to let you know, I have had this issue since day one with CM9 (December). I have read and read and re-read and nothing is working. Afew codes are working, but no more. I have added * and/or # etc.. Nothing work. The best example is the Fast Dormancy one. But others do the same. Some people says its because we don't have stock ICS Dialer. Dont know what to do if you find, pls let me know.
guy, need your help here. I have been using CM7.1.0 RC1 - tass - kang for about 3 months paired with 360 launcher v2.0. everything is running smooth. until 2 days ago, the bluetooth always automatically turned on during incoming or outgoing call. i've looked over and over again in setting, but couldn't find what makes the bluetooth on. it's very annoying, since i have to manually turn off the bluetooth after any call
the latest software i installed on my phone is ROM TOOLBOX the free version, download it from the market (very handy n usefull tool indeed). But i didn't change any setting there...
anyone with any ideas and solutions, please help me out guys, really appriciate it

Bluetooth problem. help.
i have installed NeatRom on a i9300. i successfully match my bluetooth headset with my phone, but there is problem. the situation are:
1. When receiving a call/dialing(in phone), the headset only give out some noise.
2. the sound is very clear when playing music/media.
3. the headset works fine with another phone(nexus 4)

Call recording not working NeatROM v8.0
Hello. I tried a lot of call recording apps with NeatROM v8.0 but none of them worked for me, even tried ALSAMix with Skvalex Call Recorder, with the same results. I managed to record selecting "Microphone", but the voice on the other side of the call it's hardly audible. Is there a fix for this?

How is NeatROM different from SlimKat? / why is it smoother?
I made the switch from SlimBean to NeatROM nearly a year ago and haven't looked back. Back then I noticed considerable improvement in both battery life and device smoothness. This caused me to assume that NeatROM had some deep, under-the-hood changes from the standard SlimKat build (apart from obvious tweaks like Root enabled as default, ES file explorer, etc). Ever since then, I've sporadically looked for a more detailed explanation of what makes NeatROM different, but I've never been able to find any detailed information about this! I was hoping that someone here with a bit more development understanding could answer this question for me? I'd certainly be grateful

Hello yesterday i flashed this rom and i have problem with my phone .It is very hot and battery drain very quickly i have 40% after 2 hours using only 5 minute internet and sometime SMS. I found in a setting - battery-MULTIMEDIA Process have 50% usage how can i change it?
Mediascanner do that. I recommended full wipe your ext-sd card. Do backup ext-sd card to pc first.

Try disable sim pin to another phone. Try then set it back in your phone.

Phone does not boot to lock screen
Using neatrom v4.9 at the moment.
The PIN lock screen doesn't appear on my phone after a reboot - it boots straight to desktop. So all someone has to do to bypass it is reboot my phone.
I can't find the correct option to enable to lock screen on startup. Can somebody tell me how to do it?

bluetooth problems
hey, i've installed the rom on my galaxy 3 and since then i having problems with my device bluetooth.
its like the bluetooth signal is very weak, if my bluetooth headset is more than a half a meter away the music is fragmented or completely stopped but on the device its not showing that it disconnect and if get them close to each other (my phone and my bluetooth headset) the music is isn't fragmented any more .
please help me, i love this rom but this problem is very critical for my every day use.

No Data fix:
Download smanager (Free app)
It opens to a message..just hit OK
Then theres a weird view.. Look down at the bottom right corner, theres a menu button.
Select New Script
Name it something youll remember like "Radioreboot"
next have a menu again..choose smeditor
Type in Killall rild and Save changes
now go back to the weird view again and scroll down until you see the name you gave it
Open it and check su and boot buttons
reboot
When it reboots, you"ll get the SU notification...OBVIOUSLY grant

With every Lollipop ROM that I flash on my VS985, no matter what build, I get the call forwarding bug. I saw that someone said to disable either Google Talk or Voice. I have neither installed. Is it because I'm using an AT&T Sim or is it something else? Data works even if the bug is popping up. All I have to do is dismiss it. It happens when I switch to the correct APN. There's one APN that cell service works but data doesn't and that's the one with the pta APN. If I switch back to the one for ATT Phone the data comes on but the error message pops up. If I turn Wi-Fi on, the error message stops. Not sure if its my fault or it's a known bug. Love the ROMs. Keep up the good work.

lp roms and notification light.
I have the Verizon lg g3. I noticed on almost every l.p. Rom I have tested that the battery charge light is always on when the screen is on or off. I like having the light o. While charging because it is a quick way to tell the status of the charge. But I want the notification light to turn of if the screen is on. Is this possible with the l.p. rooms or am I just missing something obvious. So far I am favoring candy and beanstock rooms.

The devs never fixed it, so I had to go back to Verizon. But now I have a Nexus6.
Any chance of getting torch on and off option for the soft keys? I know it's small but on my current Rom I have it set as the long press on the home soft key. If is a nice feature

so i have this question. it feels that every other update brakes video playback. while i use vine the video's wont load. it worked fine on the 02/07 build but the 02/12 build broke the video. i wanted to know if anybody else has this issue. like i can still play video via youtube app but like snapchat doesnt work for me and vine is broken it will have the thumbnail but it will just show that its loading and never load anything. its been this way on every other build. just wanted to know once again if anybody else is having this issue
Fantastic rom! One thing though, I can't locate the screen lock menu in the Security settings. I can find it from the settings search bar though. Is this me being dumb, or is this a bug? Anyway, thanks for the great work!
Whenever I flash any 5.1 ROM my on call proximity sensor stops working. On Jasmine ROM and other stock ones it works. Anyone else have this similar issue?
