Hello.
I rooted my Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro yesterday and all went smoothly, working perfect. I installed a few different Custom ROM's just to try them out. Now i have the "2.1.1.Clean.0.0" ROM installed and i'm very satisfied with it. Only problem is, my phone isn't rooted anymore.
I tried re-rooting it with SuperOneClick, which i used to root in the first place. But it isn't working anymore. Then i tried installed z4root on my phone and tried Permanent Root, but it just keeps "working" a little bit, until the App closes.
What should i do?
I used this guide to root my phone yesterday: omni-medical.co.uk/articles.php?article_id=4
I would really like to re-root my phone if possible.
Bump.. Anyone?
Do you still have custom recovery?

He could either mean Xrecovery or ClockworkMod recovery (doesn't really matter in this case). All you need to do is to flash superuser (flashable zip attached) and you'll be on your way.

Thanks a lot. It seems to work!
I'm really sorry, but I have a query. Is DooMRecovery for the Xperia S only on GB 2.3.7? Because I flashed DooMKernel and The WiFi modules based on something I read on another website, and it only boots into DooMRecovery. If I don't press the volume up button, it only restarts.
I don't have any system image files on my phone either, for me to flash a firmware. So, I'm thinking that basically I'm screwed. Any help regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated.
This is my first Android phone and I really messed up. Really appreciate any help.
Here's a link to the website, who's tutorial I followed to flash the Kernel and Modules.

I'm really sorry, but I'm new here..
I think doomrecovery is just RECOVERY, that's why the name
It's only for GB. If you need recovery, flash Advanced Stock Kernel.

I was wondering if I could just flash the CM9 boot image and install the zip from CWM. It come with CWM, if I'm not mistaken. Also, is CWM a pre rooted image?

So, if I manage to get the CM9 files onto the internal memory and flash them, I'm good? I'm currently on ICS and accidentally flashed DooMRecovery on my phone, so I'm stuck in auto restart. So if I manage to get the zips inside and flash the boot image in fastboot and install the zips in recovery, I should be good, right?

I know you're in panic mode here and its easy to skip steps when you're freaking out. But ayleast you can boot into your Rom. Can you transfer files thru usb once you are booted? If so get the rom, kernel, and kernel modules on your phones storage. Now follow mustafa's instructions slowly and in order. And you should be good.

You mentioned Wifi isn't working, but is data working? If so, just download a new ROM to your SD card and flash it that way.
I have stock rom with root and unlocked bootloader. I've already installed stock recovery but every time I run update, I get a red triangle. I performed a factory reset as well because I had removed some apps and I still can't get the update to push over any recommendations?
Im using Clockwork recovery and SU ROOT.
Now im on stock recovery..

Try stock recovery to flash the update and then go back to cwm.

I was messing around and had a soft brick so I odin'd back to stock rom and got everything running and got root up and running. No matter how I do it I can NOT get a custom recovery to install. I tried Goo Manager which never actually downloads the file. I found the .tar file to install manually via Odin and it says it fails. I even tried clockwork mod to install clockwork recovery and it just boots me to the stock recovery. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Yeah it basically says once you have root access you can use Goo Manger or Clockwork Mod to install the pre Loki'd recovery. Neither one of those 2 work though it just says it does and then takes me back to the stock recovery.

Yeah I did all the steps up until the actual recovery isn't installed. Goo Manger won't download anything at all but Clockwork Mod does and it says my recovery is set at either clockwork or twrp (which ever I pick) but when I boot into recovery its still just the stock one...

Install the all in one root and recovery tool for mdk...since you are already rooted you can skip that step...select the prep for recovery option...it will clean up and get rid of things that interfere with custom recovery and then select install either oudhs or twrp...these will allow you to flash updated cwm/twrp versions which I recommend to ensure proper flashing of newer roms...once one of these is installed you can always use rom manager or goo manager or the others to update...but I believe the prep for recovery step is crucial in having a functional custom recovery

Why dont you try to look for custom recovery thats suits your device manually and flash it using recovery tool app. You can get it in playstore

Our devices are quirky... Some will do just fine just randomly flashing recovery...others just won't behave without going through the prep for recovery step...I know I flashed stock with Odin once before rooted again and had the same problems getting custom recovery setup...used the same steps to fix it then too...I would recommend these for anyone having issues with recovery install
