I tried flashing the at the time latest CyanogenMod 7 stable build for the SE XPeria Mini on my recently bought phone, and it did not work. The phone hung in what the cool kids call "boot-loop", where it would reboot after just a few seconds of uptime. That said, I would not recommend trying to install CM7 on your Mini as of now. Maybe wait for the next point release, in hope of that working decently.
You can search the "Development" sister-forum of this one for the "FXP" ("FreeXPeria") fork/redistribution of CyanogenMod - FXP109 worked on my phone, but it sucked its battery dry incredibly fast.
As for how to install any of CM or any of its forks, just do as you're told in the CM wiki: h t t p://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Mini:_Full_Update_Guide

Hi All,
I purchased an X10 Mini Pro yesterday and I rooted last night.
I am now looking for the most stable ROM to put on my phone, I just don't know which one has had more development put into it.
Is it possible to use 'X10 Mini' ROMs on the X10 Mini Pro?
Appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction into which ROM I should put on my phone in terms of stability and functionality. Many thanks!
You can not use the rom from the mini for the mini pro...
the only advice is try them. backup your present rom first and then flash one of the few. try it for a couple of days and flash another.
you will find the rom that suits you most this way.
I'm using the Floyo rom and happy with it.
as all roms they are still under developement. things are not working random reboots may occur.
as said in other forums. there is no best rom. all roms are made to personal taste of the developer and that might you like more or less depending the rom. just try the roms available as said before. this is the only way.
read the threads about the roms they will give you all the info you will need.
@wilcovh
Okay thanks for getting back to me m8...
the most stabile and functional rom is the stock rom at this moment.
sorry guys, but you know it's like that. custom roms still need some bugfixes, but the progress is very promising.
hi,
you want a good and stable custom room?
well the best for now is the Foyo rom. it is almost bug free...(only 2 or 3 bug know bugs) and it have some themes options....
see the topic here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961783
Floyo v3.4 reboots often, but I couldn't find any other bugs. If you can (I can) tolerate these reboots, I think this is the best choice.
Temes
i cant boot to xrecovery after installed v3.4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951274
and instal xRecovery.
But xRecovery should be working after installed v3.4
Maybe you did something wrong.
There's no random reboot on mine using CM6 3.4, try to reflash your phone and then install 3.4, I didn't see any bugs imho. Instead complaining about the bugs for each rom, try to help the dev by supporting they work and help them find a solution.
Try 3.4 for daily basis it's quite stable. CM7 V5 is still a little bit buggy in some vital section.
HI all,
I upgraded my x10 mini pro to 2.1, i have not done any modification for my phone apart from that . I want to customize my phone as much as it can be done(rooting, kernel and stuff).
Please guide me to make my phone interesting.
P.S:- U can term me as a lame guy when it comes to mobiles
Thanks
Actually all of those tutorial has been posted in here, just give it a look around & ya will found it.
Just try using it for rooting and installing xrecovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136&highlight=script) and to install custom roms, download what do you want, I recommend MiniCM7 Pro by paul-xxx.
As of currently, no full custom roms are possible. Only roms which are based on the stock kernel as the bootloader is locked tight and we have almost succeeded bypassing it, I believe.
hi
what is the best miui room for xperia x10 2.3.3
can i update from prime miui 1.1.18 to newer miui room
thanks
I have had the best luck with Cobrato's MIUI.. and DoomKernal non overclocked, I have run quite a few MIUI's before and usually they slow down after i get it settled the way I like it, this one has not and I have been running it for quite a while.. Here's the link check it out

I've been on Crowns MIUI rom (switched from Wolfs rom) for about over a month now and I really like it. Its smooth and the battery use is very very good. He also has OTA updates so its much easier getting new versions.
Here is the link if you wanna check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362392

Also i would like to get rid of the sony ericson logo on boot up.

Go for M & M team's CM 7.2 for unlocked bootloaders
It's the fastest one with all features working properly including camera
Kernel will be there in their thread
Happy flashing

Alternatively, you can download the FXP120 leaked release, just use it with the FXP119 kernel.
today i installed this on my Xperia x10 mini pro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
but after a couple of hour i found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636501
should i install the second's link mod? i mean it seems like an update or should i keep the one that i installed today?
thanks
MiniCM7 is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread
MiniCM9 is based on Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich
You can't just upgrade from one to the other, you will need a different kernel as well.
MiniCM9 is still in early development so if you want to avoid issues or hickups stick with what you have now, If you like to experiment and experience the latest google has to offer, by all means try MiniCM9 but make sure you flash the nAa-ICS-03 kernel first and do a full wipe of your system.
actually i am pretty interested in the new android version i would prefer the CM9 but since it's new i will keep my CM7 and i will update to CM9 when i will have more experience and so on
thanks

if you decide to update, don't forget to install nAa-ics-03 kernel before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636504
