Here are some of the themes I've made for Go SMS Pro.
I will make more and post them here. You can tweak them how you want them once you get them on your phone. Such as if you want a different font or colors. How to edit the theme after you download it is below.
I'm also gonna figure out how to make a QR code for these apk. files. So all you have to do is scan and install.
If anyone knows how to put a file or apk. file into a QR code please post. I've looked everywhere, the only app I could find Force closes.
Does anyone know why the click here for QR code at the end of the file doesn't work?

Since I changed that in the theme , i would have edit the theme on computer and re save it with the white. If that's what you want I can do that. Which theme?
I've been messing with modifying themes as well. I notice in some themes, the bubble conversation is flat, while in others they are more gradiant. is that something that can't be done through Go Sms? how about the backgrounds on the buttons (like Send or New)?

This is a Metamorph for a transparent lockscreen that was made by request for a friend. This is intended for a deodexed stock mytouch4G ROM (2.2/2.2.1). This will modify com.htc.resources.apk. Most likely this will crash your system when applied. If not, reboot to see changes. Ive been seeing an error when using metamorph to extract, it does not seem to find the theme file. All files extract and you will be able to apply by selecting "Pick existing theme".
*NOTE* This works when applied using the safari theme (thanks for the feedback). I'll look into modifying other themes... eventually. Requests will be considered.

Hmm I'm using your rom and it worked fine for me.. I extracted it on the computer, put it on my SD in the androidthemes folder, and then went to pick existing theme, apply all.
Has anyone been able to get rid of the lockscreen wallpaper? To show the homescreen? I've tried old methods, but they don't seem to work in sense 2.2 stock or modded roms for the n1

EDIT: Sent .zip to sdcard. Let Metamorph unzip. Still FC's my messengers while applying then nothing.
If you remove the htclockscreen.apk and .odex from your /system you'll get a transparent lockscreen... Albiet with the stock froyo lock but I prefer it anyway

So after trying this, the text on the lock screen doesn't line up correctly. All 3 lines of text, the date, the time & T-mobile all overlap. Is this supposed to be used with any of the lock screen themes or a specific one? Anything else need to be changed to get it to align correctly?

So this is just a transparent slider for the lockscreen?
I'm assuming theres no way to make a fully or semi-transparent wallpaper?
I know most icons are png's, which support transparency, but I'm not sure (and highly doubt) if a transparent png file would retain transparency after being set to be the wallpaper? If I had to guess I would think the file is converted in some way before it is actually applied...
I wonder if there is a way to bypass this and allow for transparencies in the wallpaper?
Though this works, it doesn't look so good since its transparent and the text overlays whatever is on the first screen. It would be nice if the lockscreen background could be honored by the stock froyo lock. Or at the very least, a solid color or black background.

Transparent images won't set correctly, from what I've read about other sense ROMs, you'd have to hexedit the file, changing the color to transparent... don't know if it would even work. There are lockscreen replacements, like lock bot, possibly some others. Wish there where better options... the ROM in general lacks the basics for most things I want to do... which is why I currently run the desire HD port by gr8gorilla. The ROM has been ported to a lot of phones, so there is quite a bit of mods and themes available.
I'm curious what features. Are you referring to stock? Does the desire port have working drivers for everything? I thought FFC (camera) was a problem as well as video playback. Iced is what I'm currently using and its rock solid and can overclock.

Download a png, then get gimp (free version of photoshop) and edit it to your liking. Load it to your phone and then use launcher pro and custom icon.
Just Google image search for spacer.gif and you should be able to find a 1x1 px transparent image that will do the job.

You were given hints on how to make you own. Downlad "Gimp" open it, and open an icon (ANY icon that you may use on your phone) highlight the erase tool and scribble all over the icon till it looks like a checkerboard of sorts. Click save and copy to device for use. Then enjoy the small sense of accomplishment that you did it yourself.

not that i know of Matt , unless you use none stock messaging apps form the market like Handcent SMS or GO SMS PRO those are my fav to use but now i use TouchPal Contacts i like the feel n look of it

I think you can decompile the messaging.apk and edit that way, but you would need knowledge of how to theme (which I have none of)

Thanks, yeah I tried handcent but not really feelin' it. Lovin' stock except for that bright ass background at night. lol
I wish I knew how to theme!
You can unzip the apk file, mod it and rezip.
I might do it later if I get some time to.
Ask rachelm920. I known her work since we both owned MotoCliqs. She might have an idea of how it can be done.

Thank you kind sir, now to find the damn tool I forgot to download to decompile this and not unzip.
Alright I know how to do this, but I am wanting to change a lot of my icons in the sense Rom I am running. Is there a way to do it in batch form? What is the easiest simplest solution to this? Any help from you expert themers would be very helpful. Thanks....
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
First, if you are replacing status bar icons, the easiest way to do this is open the apk with 7zip and drag your new icons into the correct res/drawable... folder.
If you insist on a batch operation, you can look for a VillainRom theme package. They use a script to replace (and it is flashed in recovery). I suggest finding one of these and looking at the scripts inside to learn how it works. You basically create the folder with the images you want to replace and it does the work for you. Be sure to thank the creators of this very handy tool.
Finally, you could create a batch file that uses 7zip to do it. I actually did this for a brief time until I came across the VR themes.
You could use my ReZone theme as a guideline for doing what you want. The ONLY downside is it doesn't work with TWRP recovery.
Thanks for the replies....
What I should have specified is the app icons in the app drawer, and desktop. I downloaded the anti apple icons, and want to make a custom theme using them for myself. So I can open the apks, and change the icon, but that takes forever. I was wondering if there is a themer program that would allow me to do it in a batch format. That way u wouldn't have to do it for 75 apps individually. I know that you can install theme packs on aosp, and was hoping there was a way to do it with sense. Again, thanks for the interest, and help...
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
easy enough if you are using nova or apex launcher and doing an icon set or viperes rom has this option
Yeah, I was hoping to do it on Dsb's 3.6 Rom. I may switch back to viper when the update drops. I was just hoping there was an easy way to do it to sense roms that the themers were willing to share....

My original suggestion is what you want to use, it works on Sense. First thing you would do is clean out my folders or just make new ones following the folder structure. Then basically all you have to do is find the apps icon name (extract original .apk). Create the folders and add your new icon. Then just go into recovery and flash it... BHAM!! new icon. Lets not make this difficult. It will work on Sense or AOSP ROMs. Very simple thing to do..
EDIT:
I have attached a sample .zip were I change 3 icons from my Theme the Camera, Gmail, and YouTube. If you follow that format (icons have different names and locations) you can change any icon you want and all you have to do is flash it.
Thanks Zone. Started last night. You say bam, but more like bbaaaaaaammnnnnnn. I will finish it up through the week, and post it in homescreens thread with a special thanks to you..

i wouldn't call it imposible. picture this: an app made by you running directly from android. you can select everything as you like and preview as you like. you can even select a custom background of your own (how cool is that), then, after you have selected everything, that app generates the zip, and you flash it.plus, it gets better, the app can have updates with new keyboard styles and everything. ofcorse this would require more programming, but you could eventually even add that app in the playstore and if it gets popular you can have it work for other devices as well.
edit: I would like to set a purple background that would have the purple color, yahoo's purple since I mainly use it for messaging. also a background lightblue skype color would be nice.
edit2: btw I think there's an error on the Auto-Correct selection, the first two options have identical description.
edit3: for anyone that would like a custom wallpaper to the keyboard, I presume you can do that, entering the zip file and photoshoping files found in this folder with the ones you like. TNi605AnyDPISamsungIMEAroma.zip\kbbg\redbullbg\res\

I can add common app colors if you'd like as far as an app. .um mm don't really want to get into that lol. .and there is no typo.. one says with "short press delay" and the other says "stock press delay"
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
you're right, no typo. concerning the colors, no need for extra options for me, I will install photoshop and modify that redbull theme to my liking. again, great job. thanks. but concerning the users that don't want to spend time into photoshop, here's a thing you can do, see if you can do another kind of installer, one that has best combinations, so that no mater what combination of colors you choose, you're always ending with an awesome result. I ended up with really weird results for example when selecting purple twice.
edit: something's missing from the keyboard. I flashed the s4white keyboard before flashing this one and I think this is the reason why transparency doesn't work for the background. when I select the totally transparent background, the result is a black one. even though i checked, the files contained in the transparent nebula theme are indeed transparent. how can I fix this?
edit2: wait, actually it is transparent, just that there are certain apps that place a black background beneath the keyboard

Lol the best combinations. . Everyone likes different things and if, for instance, I put purple background, black text and black keys and someone chooses those options it won't look good.. but if they choose what I laid out for a request.. The purple/silver theme.. it should look pretty good
Yea the background with transparency all relates to certain apps.. so apps that call theme.holo will be transparent but if they call theme.holo.light or an app has a certain custom color it will call those.. There is no way, I think, I would be able to fix this unless you modify all the apps and that is not going to happen:thumbup:
