Best Apps for TFP? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I just purchased my TFP and was wondering what apps yall would recommend to really optimize user experience with the TFP?
I have already installed overskreen and i must say i am impressed, but I was wondering if yall had any thoughts on good widgets or other good apps to try out (aside from just games).
I would like to thank everyone in advance for their input.
- Cheers

A Thank you and a couple of questions...

First off, I am sure this board has been swarmed with Wooters who had tons of questions, and for that I say thank you very much for the guides. I was able to install Vegan-Tab simply and easily to my tablet and it is running smooth.
I have a couple of questions that I wanted to see if mabye anyone knew the answers to:
First, the start menu (Phone/Apps/Web)- Does anyone have an ways to change this? Would Launcher Pro Plus work on this?
Second, does anyone know of a profile program for multiple users. Until I by the girlfriend a tab (now that she is addicted to Angry Birds) I wanted to know if there was a way we could separate email/facebook/etc with profiles.
Thanks in advance,
Sean
Launcher pro works amazingly. The Widgets are the best and look really good on the Gtab.

[Q] Memo app

Ok, I'm an old fart coming over to Android from an old Palm Treo 700p. I need a good memo app similar to the one on the 700p. I've looked at the market and lots of free/cheap apps available. Anyone have any advice as to which one or ones to try first?
Thanks
Jackie
E-V-E-R-N-O-T-E (free) .... is my suggestion .... has many types of note taking inputs + syncing btwn yer Android & pc/laptop app is stellar !
There are MAANNNY apps out there & I have -tried- using most of the 'higher end' apps .... EVernote seems to take the cake fer me ... but that's just me !
Damn good place to start ~>

Feel free to tag that 'Thanks' button at any time there bro ... lol ... surely, that is NOT why I help peeps, but it does look great & makes me feel oh so special
hope you like EVRNOTE ... I did notice it was 3.5mb in size but it is just one of those apps I just accept it as it is, b/c it is such a great app !! I really like the voice recorded note-taking, the voice-managed functions, the syncing ... well, I have already said it all .... lmk what you think. I am sure there are great Memo apps well under the 3.5 mb size, but -again- I think you'll find its worth it !

I prefer Springpad over Evernote, although I haven't used Evernote in a while. Springpad is a great note taker/to do list maker/orginizational tool/etc and it is one of the few things that helps me stay organized.

I am ALWAAYS OPEN to suggestions (just as long as you're a senior member w/ a minimum of 400 posts - d'OH ! I guess that means I cannot respectfully take your advice/opinion "seriously" .... lmao ... I am totally f*cking kidding ... I have already opened your link & going to check it out after I am done showing my ass to those involved here - ahahhaaaaha .... no really, I am done being sarcastic - thanks for the tip ..... (& just the tip !)

Looks like a real winnner at first glance ... its SO EASY to go awhile w/o seeing many of the endless amounts of other relevant tools out there waiting to be found & then, simply by word of mouth, It is the 'new bad-ass app' that no one knew about > and leaves everyone wondering what they've been doing w/o it !!!
I was never a big fan of the ALL green/lackluster UI of EVERNOTE, but was easily won over by its many uses & adaptability .... I already like the UI of SP .... gonna run em side by side & see which I prefer.
>Not to mention SP is about 2mb smaller than EVERNOTE ... thats a + ...
Downloaded those programs and they are very feature rich programs but a little overkill for what I wanted. My son uses XM Notepad which looks more like what I wanted. Only problem is that I would like to move all my notes over from my Treo 700p and it does not have an import feature.

Anything like Soulver for iOs?

Hi guys!
Does anyone know if there is an Android equivalent for this app?
It is a "smart" calculator, not like anything I've found on the Android Market.
I really like the concept, so I was thinking about developing a similar app. Would anyone be interested?
I'd be very interested in such an app. Good luck!
Awesome app!!
I hope someone port it to our dear Androids!
Good luck.
P.S. Have you tried "HandyCalc"? It's a little bit difficult to manage it, but I think it can do almost anything you want. Give it a try.
P.S.2 Would be great "Easy Calculator" if it had scientific operations.
Since a long time I have been searching for something like that. Does anybody found something?

Extreme True Multitasking On The Note (Heads up from N7000 forum)

Hi all,
I've already posted this in the N7000 forum and I guess most of you are new here so I don't want you guys to miss out on this really cool find.
Since the note has such a big screen why not push the boundaries and try out some try desktop-style multitasking
Check out the video to see what it's all about.

Of course, it's android gingerbread. If you're referring to the 3D UI, I have a galaxy note tutorial on my channel here:

Hey I just want to say thanks for sharing this with us! It is very nice to have someone from the International Note forum share the true awesomeness of our devices! Much better than just "oh I forgot this is AT&T note, your device is crap"
coldfustion has the best vid's. tx for sharing it! i ASSume our snapdragon processor can do the same thing, maybe with a touch of lag, maybe not.
i was at a family dinner Friday and i can never think how to show off the phone as everyone is asking me about it. his vid's always give me new ideas
Halleluja! I've been asking for something like this for months. See my split screen/multiview thread in the N7000's theme/app forum. Now please add a couple features:
1. "Snap" like Windows 7 Ultimate has, but slightly different. Make it so that when you drag the app's title bar to a side, it snaps to fully fill the screen halfway on that side. Dragging to a corner makes the window snap to fully fill that 1/4 of the screen. If you have the screen filled with 2 windows (or 3 or 4), make it so you can drag the border between windows and they'll automatically resize at the same time to maintain the screen filled.
2. Have the notification bar pull down over all windows.
If you add these features and make it work, I'll buy a copy for $50.
P.S. Why in the world, if the Note's capable of running all of that at the same time, did Samsung feel the need for such aggressive RAM management that I can't currently switch from my browser window to email, one other app, then back to the browser without my entire browsing session being closed down!?
oh, didnt know this was a promotion for a bunch of PAID apps
thanks anyway

some ppl just expect things for free most of us are appreciative Jim.
Just bought the browser version. For $1.50, why not?
Honestly I can't see myself using this on my note even though we have the biggest screen size of any phones. I can see this being useful for tablets or for showing off to my iphone buddies!

Jim, apparently that will not work for us with the AT&T Gnote. so nobody should go buy those apps just yet

Jim, could you work on seeing if we can get something like your 3D UI for our AT&T version
I just downloaded both, kept the broweser, returned the video player --- my keyboard doesnt work when the video player is up

I didn't think it read like an ad. Then I saw both were paid apps and read it again.
That said, for $1.49, I figured, why not?
Both work great on my I717. Stock ROM, not rooted, running ADW Launcher EX, and using hacker's keyboard. I was able to run two 1080p videos at the same time with the video program, and was able to run 3 you tube videos on the browser. No problems with keyboard. The only problem with lag is it seems as I run more and more videos the sound and video gets a bit out of sync.
Thanks for the link. I like the browser because I am often copy/clipping stuff, or re-keying stuff from the browser window to somewhere else and that makes it much easier. I don't know that I'll use the video thing much, but its neat to show off, as others have said.
Wow, thanks for the information, especially about the 3D UI. It led me to discover many cool apps that I didn't know about before. I really like the Windows-like Contact app and Alternative App Drawer apps especially. Thanks again!

The video app will come in handy for my use case. I like to use the Google Navigation while driving but also want to hear my language training video at the same time. Before there was no way to run my video app while running the navi app at the same time. Now I do! Thanks.
That is a great app and it shows what the future will be for smart phones. Big screens that are used in a Landscape mode for most functions. The only need for portrait is to hold it up to your ear to make a call.
People are making a lot less calls.

This is true, you can expand your phone as far as you want. I mean if you used a bluetooth keyboard and hooked this up to a TV.. I might just try that

Hovernote: Floating notepad for Tablets!

Hey guys, just found a new app called Hovernote for $.99 in the playstore:
'It's simply a note app that hovers over whatever you're doing. In a world where it's necessary to launch a full-screen app on a ten inch device to jot down three words, Hovernote is a godsend. You can have multiple notes open, copy, paste and share from them, and even use the app on phones/tablets"
The more apps like these we get, the more I can appreciate what Android brings to the table!

Very cool. I can see how this would be massively helpful for studying and taking notes from e-books.

Hey, yeah its a great app. Will do!
Thank you mjlim for creating another floating app to add to my arsenal . I bought it instantly once coming across the android police article to show my support for more floating apps (hint: I buy all floating apps )
Woot! Another floating app bought.
Really useful app, and if they keep popping at those prices I'm gonna buy all of them ^^
Read the save locally feature is being worked on... the app is looking really neat. Great work

Currently, no. I might do one in the future, but for now you can purchase the app and try it out for about 10 minutes; Google Play has a 15-minute return window in which if you don't like an app, you can have your purchase refunded (more accurately, never charged) via a button on the app's page.
great app..just purchased
It's funny how I and another person who commented on the Android Police post about the floating app library were just hoping for someone to make a floating note taking app and a day or 2 after, there we have it!
Too cool. Bought it in a heartbeat. Thanks dev!
Got this app and I love it. I works over everything, video, office, browser. Swiftkey is active on it so spellcheck is also available. Nice.
To the author;
New features that I'd love to see. A widget instead of status bar notification and direct text file save.
Thanks!
Tritium
Hi!
Just so you know, I released an update yesterday that includes:
text file read/write
window transparency
an option to turn off the notification that appears after you close the last note
I'm not too sure about using a widget, since you can only access those from the homescreen... maybe I could display a list of recently opened files in a widget eventually, though.
I've gotten some feedback on there being too many notifications, so I'll see if I can come up with some alternative means (configurable, because I don't want to force it on people) to select individual notes.

Really liking this app. Its nice being able to use this app and sending the notes to my regular note taking app. I'm liking the floating window apps that are starting to come out.

Love the app. There is a method to get it free out there but after 3-4 days (when I got paid), I bought it to support the dev.
One thing I would like to see is an option to set a default open/save location. I usually save mine to sdcard/notes/.

Thanks for buying it. I didn't include any of the licensing or antipiracy libraries because it would be inconvenient, and the app is open source anyway; I definitely appreciate your purchase!
In the last version hovernote now remembers the last folder you were in when you opened or saved a file, and that's the default next time you open the file picker.
