[CONCEPT] universal stock rom - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

hey i have a concept rolling in my mind
and i wanna share it maybe a developer likes the idea
what is the concept?
the concept is about a clean stock rom, with no tweaks, custom kernels
just clean
and supports multi languages
what is in this rom?
a customized theme
customized i cons
power menu
transparent menu
ext4 format
what is not included ?
all apps that aren't needed
so create a flashable zip to flash the apps
okay? what new?
here is the secret..
since we are not ios or wp owners, and google hasn't solved the problem with multiple basebands
like ddq7,kpo,kpn,etc..
it is gonna be a universal
since it supports almost all languages
the developers of themes or system addons " i don't know what you say about it"
they won't develop multi apps, custom themes for one rom
and the users won't suffer of not finding what they like for the roms that supporting their language
so our ace will be richer
so know here are the headlines
lets say the rom is based on kpn
samsung kernel
we will have
RTL support.zip
Latin languages.zip
and all languages.zip
--------
then themes
so maybe the stock will look like cm7
but it is pure
---------------
that what i was thinking
iam not a developer and i hate codes " JAAVA"
so any one wanna do this
he is wilcome
i don't wanna credits
just let's make our ACE rocks

[Q] Rom Manager Rom List looks incomplete?

hello there,
i installed Clockword Mod because i wanted to know if it is just as good as the people are talking (managing different Roms) but all Roms that i can see are the 2 CyanogenMod Builds (nighties and Stable)
then Extras
meLianTQ (where nothing is inside)
and the Google Apps
is this really the whole list? Or do i need to change something? Like a sources.list?
Regards
Seelbreaker
That's the whole list AFAIK.
Developers have to ask to get their ROM included in the list.

[Q]Are developers creating Custom Rom by using creator like custom Rom creator?

1. Is it possible making program or something boot loader(?) to show the dialog to check custom Rom between A Rom and B Rom and after that we can load Rom which is running this time...?
- I heard about that there is a something to support this function..
- But what I wanna ask , Do you guys think about three people who are going to University can make this program within 3months.
2. Is there a limit to modify text, Icon size , change color, etc..?
- Any kind of limit to make a Rom..
3. <<Important thing >> what the differences are between making Rom using auto make Rom program like Custom Rom Creator Sutdio and the other way just changing source..?
- I think second way is really difficult but first one is that there aren't not many choices to make our Rom , also I don't think optimizing performance is possible.
- So what I wanna know, how do most of developer make the MIUI or CM7 something like any personal or group Custom Rom?
PS. And I wanna make dual boot loader or Custom Rom for old people..
So I'm asking zoom -in , out something like that ~

Little clearing about ROM names

Hi,
Can someone make clear to me as a noobie what are the differences between "cores" of the ROMs?
I see there are most favourite ones like "XWLP9" and "AOKP" - what are the differences between them? I see AOKP has more updates from kernel and maybe some other things in addons? Besides XWLP9 seems to me more stable but I only observe rom peoples comments and replys so can someone tell me which ROM core I should be focused on when choosing ROM? Some advices, experiences what you have with them - ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES maybe or something ... I see there are roms like these two from what I want to choose:

Thank you for all your advices ...

Google is your friend.
XWLP9 is the latest stock/official ROM version from Samsung for the SGS2 (GT-I9100).
So, these kind of ROMs are based on Samsung stock ROMs ... with some customizations (e.g. rooted, some removed bloatware, some custom themes/mods, etc.).
The other kind of custom ROMs have AOSP (Android open source project) or ASKP (Android open kang project).
So, they are either on pure Google Android OS or Linux. Usually there is a team of developers who share their parts/versions in binaries and as source code.
The kernel is kind of "core" of the firmware.
Every ROM contains its own kernel, as this is a basic part of the firmware ... and the phone can't work without it.
You can also flash other (custom) kernels on a ROM.
But not every kernel is compatible with every ROM.
OK thank you I read about these two a lot i needed some experienced opinion and clearing it up for me.
What I basically needed was opinions about these two versions from experienced users. If non oficial and trully open made ROM is better and in what ways or is it better to stay on oficial ones etc. This is what i wanted most from this thread ...

[Q] cooking my 1st rom

hey guys
i m planning to cook my own rom and i need some help here.
i m planning to build my custom rom based on CM and aokp
i wanted to know about this : it has gappas, i have to edit only base rom right? i dont have to touch gapps if i dont want to theme it ? am i correct?
and i just started learning it , so i m using kitchen
thanks for your time
Yes that is correct. The UI framework that android uses is in the base ROM or system. Gapps just contains the assortment of Google applications that cannot be added into major ROMs directly due to licensing issues (since CM/AOKP source is GPL and Google apps are proprietary). This is why CM/AOKP provide gapps but do not bake into their ROMs from the get go.
Hope I helped!
Think u can make gapps native to your own rom...I've been doing this from far now and never had any problems...the thing is CM can't include them, you're not cm...anyway you can theme as much as you like them, but will have to make your own zip path for users...it's not as difficult as it sounds, you can even take meta-inf from original path and just compile and sign it

Can we port some features of one Rom to other Rom

Is it possible to port some particular feautres of any given Rom to another Rom(say Stock android rom) keeping all the properties of the Rom remain same.
Explanation:
Let us say we need some features of a MIUI and some other features of EMUI, Is it possible to add those features from those roms to the original Stock rom or Some other Roms of the mobile.
Also Is it possible to make the Rom of some other mobile (which has similar specs that of my mobile ) to work on my mobile..
Actually I am just a noobie & newbie to the field of porting Roms, I had these doubts stuck up in my mind from long time.
Some people extract the APKs from specific ROMs (for instance, I managed to get MIUI's Ambient Doze working on a different ROM) and install them on other ROMs.
However, that isn't always the case because some mods have been built into system APKs such as the SystemUI apk.
