Today I have upgraded my phone with official CyanomodGen 7.2 Nightly version with CWM Recovery 5. When it started it worked fine, I flashed gapps, and everything was fine.
But I tried Conservative governor (default is on demand) in CyanomodGen options, and it worked fine, but when I turned the phone off, it doesn´t turn it on again. (battery is not the problem, I have two of them).
I tried everything, and it doesn't work (black screen), it doesn't turn it on (power button), and download mode doesn't work (down+home+power). When I press up + home + power, ir appears me only ARM9 mode.
What can I do? Is bricked my phone or can I repair it?
PS: Sorry about my english, but my native language is spanish.
u can try to force it into download mode. first take off battery, press the download mode button combination and then reinsert the battery while u still pressing the buttons.
I tried again with down volume+home+power, but it doesn't happen anything. (No download mode)
I tried to load ODIN with usb in the phone, and if I try up volume+home+power it appears "Emergency Dload Mode", but ODIN doesn't recognize the phone.
Now I'll try this option. It didn't work right now, but I'll still trying.

Solved: I solved this problem. You must keep pressed down volume+home+power and put back your battery to the phone, while is connected with USB and with ODIN. Check this post.

I have managed to "soft brick" my phone and I basically have bootloop where nothing except turning off from boot window is functional.
Volume Up/Down + Home + Power doesnt work. Aka recovery mode or neither Download mode.
At the moment I use ODIN program in computer.
The question is, that is there an alternative way to access in Download mode. I was told face to face that other devices have an schematic when/where cable and buttons should be pushed down.
At the moment I am waiting for JIG USB device that should allow bricked phone automatic access to Download mode. Then use ODIN to Flash ROM to reset everything.
Rooting was done by SuperSu program which also lead to brick after wrong update option. (Used HTC update)
Everything is OK.
The problem was that I was trying to go download and recovery mode after I had runned the system once before.
It should not be forgotten that button combination works only when everything starts from 0. Remove the battery and then press the buttons.
Hi guys,
I was flashing my S6 to twrp recovery using Flashify, and work fine, but I just can´t get out of the recovery mode.
Everything I do, It come back to the recovery page.
I can´t enter in download mode, and I can´t get my battery off!
I´ve tryied everything, wipe the data, restore, but without the download mode, I don´t know what to do.

Had the same thing happen a few days ago. Here's how I fixed it:
Hold power, home, and volume down for 5 seconds or so. As soon as you hold the three buttons, the phone will restart to TWRP once. That's normal, just keep holding it until the screen turns black. Once it does, you can keep holding to boot into download mode or let go to boot normally.
Hope it works and good luck!
Hi,
I own galaxy s3 i9000, currently on custom rom. My phone automatically rebooted and got stuck on bootloop. If I am able to enter in recovery mode, i can wipe cache(which may can help to get out of bootloop). But the problem is I am unable to enter into recovery mode because phone's volume up button is not working and my phone auto reboots every time after power off or reinserting battery. Is there any other way to clear cache or enter into recovery mode?
I dont want to flash my stock rom via odin (because i didnt backup my some important apps and msgs), this will be my last option.
sorry for my bad english
The normal way I get my phone into recovery mode from the PC is using ADB and the command: "adb reboot recovery". However, I bet this won't work in your case for one of several possible reasons: depending on when the bootloop occurs in the boot process, the phone may never reach a point where ADB is able to see your phone in the first place; if this is happening after a flashing a new custom ROM, then also it's unlikely that USB debugging is turned and the PC is not yet authorized to connect with it over ADB.
Another thought, could your power button be stuck down? I had a GS3 SCH-I535 several years ago and the power switch went bad on it, it would keep rebooting, shutting down randomly, or I'd be unable to turn on the screen. I had a switch replaced and it was fine after that. I don't think it's normal for the phone to automatically boot up when you reinsert the battery, that's why I bring that up. Maybe you can wiggle the power button a bit and try to unstick it if that's the case.
I tried to remove and stick back the power button again, but still it didnt worked. By the way fixing power button will not help me to get into recovery mode as my phone's volume up button is also not working, and recently I found out that I cant enter into download mode too because when I press respective buttons (volume down + home + power) for download mode, it gives warning msg to click 'volume up' buttton to enter into download mode or 'volume down' to reboot. Therefore again volume up button is required to enter into download mode too. So the only option remained for me is to visit service center and fix the volume up button.
Recently did factory reset for my i9100, downloaded reboot manager and rebooted into recovery from that app.
Now I can't get out of recovery mode since power button doesnt work in there and my middle button is broken too.
VolUp and VolDwn work everywhere and I can turn phone on by power button.
Any help? I'm on 2.2.3
edit/ i also rooted the phone recently with kingroot via pc
Hi @noupls,
To get out of recovery mode, you need to take out your phone battery.
Once your phone is off, reinsert the battery. Then go into download mode (press and hold volume down + power button + home).
Once in download mode, flash stock ROM via ODIN (if you've already download the firmware files).
Saber.
With broken buttons, you're pretty much stuffed whatever you do with the device. You NEED to get them repaired/replaced ASAP.
In recovery, there should be an option
REBOOT SYSTEM (NOW)
With your broken buttons I'm pretty sure that'll be the only thing that works.
woke up in the morning my phone was turned off. So, i tried to charge it . then it went to fast-boot mode directly. I thought something was up and powered it off and tried to turn on but it got stuck on boot screen - I Thought(Just a Brick and i could reverse it)
Series of wrong steps:
1. i advanced wipe system, data, internal storage (I thought it would reset the phone :cyclops: ). but i realized that i delete everything later.
2.from twrp i directly went to fast-boot mode. But, my morning brain made me to poweroff the phone from fastboot.
3.Tried to go to fast-boot but accidentally i powered it on which started a boot-loop.
i cant shutdown the mobile or do anything .
i want to known whether can i still go to fast-boot mode or not.
if I could some how shutdown or go to fast-boot i could bring my mobile back to life
Please Help Me Out !!!!!!!!!!
EDIT :
i found the answer holding Vol Up + Down + Power buttons would force shutdown it.
You need to flash with stock rom , try to hold volume - and power while re booting
Not working
