I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, however since the TFP is the first and only tablet I thought I would start here with this question.
Again I am new to tablets so please excuse me if this is a stupid question to be asking. Since I have owned this tablet I have installed many apps from the Android market and now Google play. On my Android phone when I update an app it will have the "what's new" area, visit the developers website and reviews from users. On my tablet I do not see these areas at all. I have gone to the settings in google play (android market), I have tried to search through Google and search through XDA and have not found the answer.
Is this the way it is on tablets?
Am I missing something on the settings?
I hope this is fixable because I like to look at what is new, look at reviews and sometimes I like to go to the developers website before I update my apps.
Thanks in advance and again sorry if this has already been asked and answered

You need to tap the app icon, that's the only way I know..

Good evening everyone,
First, this is my first post to xda. I am Noam from France and I've already checked this forum several times, because it seems full of useful information about smartphones and skillful members. So hello to you all
As for my request, I would like to ask you if you knew any alternative to the game iStunt, the snowboarding game on miniclip and the Apple App store, which is available for Android. I like this game a lot, I discovered it on a friend's iPhone. A post somewhere else on the web said that it was available on the market, but I could't manage to find it...
Any help?
Thank you for your help in advance
Noam
UP Please...
Alright ladies and gents,
I am a galaxy s III owner so I thought I'd ask this question here.
Is there any way to implement a proxy(ie getting a fake ip address) to download apps from google play?
The thing is, Youtube and other google addresses are blocked in my country for the time being, and I feel like my phone is useless. And I, due to the sophisticated nature of this forum, am unable to describe my feelings properly (you know what I mean).
So if anyone, with any information steps forward, I salute you. and otherwise too but just a little bit less
Thanks in advance
Hi,
You can search for "Market enabler" on Google (app removed from the Play Store).
Or here on Google+: https://plus.google.com/110853353138524936530
Or in the general Android section (maybe in Android apps and games) if I remember right there is some mods or a modified Play Store that allow what you want. You'll fint that with a little search.

my friend's S3 recently received an update to JB. he updated it through Kies. He decided to test the new feature of the google search app called Google Now but he cant see it. Going to the settings of the said app, there should be an option for Google NOw there, but in his phone, there is none. Even the UI which is supposed to show mountains and cards is not in his S3's google search app, his is just plain search box UI.
What could be are the problems?
Look at your apps, it's simply called Google. (blue box, white G) and when launched it gives some info on Google now and asks if you want to use it. In Applications Manager it says Google Search.

Hey all,
Possible user error here, but I noticed that searching for a contact from the within the Maps app does not appear to return any results. Also, if I search for a business, Maps does not sort the results according to what is closest...they're just kind of all over the place.
Full disclosure, I recently switched back to Android after using an iPhone for maybe two years, so I'm not entirely sure if this is just how the UI is or if I'm being a bonehead.
Any help is appreciated.
***Edit**
Well, I found the answer to question one is that I'm using a Google Apps account, so contact search isn't support within Maps yet.
Really annoying: when I open my Google quick search app (long press home) I get trending terms and topics I've never searched.
Did a downgrade to a last year version, same problem.
Does anyone know how to block (I'm rooted), and could please tell how?
Or any suggestions for an alternative Google search app?
Thank you.
