Try this. Once done, make sure the keystr file has permissions rw-,rw-,rw-. You will need root.
EDIT to add: I know the post references the lock screen/power button, and not the home or menu button, but I believe this file is responsible for the lock/power button, and the home and back buttons.
Can you be more specific?I'm new on this things. How to make those tasks?

You can flash a firmware, but you can't follow these directions? That worries me.
Please read up on some of the stuff in the roll up sticky in the general section. I really don't want to regurgitate a bunch of stuff that has already been immortalized in threads that already exist, and are easy to find.
how to save if my buttons not working?
I really find these types of threads pointless and annoying. If you are flashing a custom kernel, you need to live with the possible consequences and get educated before flashing.

Returning to stock is a good way to resolve this issue.
So guess what, you can change the color inside the rom settings
Oh thanks for the help
Are you using ROM manager to flash roms or doing it manually? if your not you should try rom manager it has an option that lets you wipe all data before flashing the new rom. i use it and ive never had any problems

If you search this forum or Google 'unrevoked', you'll easily find a complete guide and walkthrough on how to root your phone, which'll (as part of the process) load clockworkmod boot recovery.
The next time you reboot, hold the volume down key, which takes you into your boot screen, and use the vol up and down keys to select 'recovery', and press the power button.
From there, wiping your cache partitions and doing a full factory wipe is very straightforward.
That's the easiest way to fully flatten your phone before installing a new ROM.
Edit - the process might differ a bit for your model phone, but the principle will be the same...

Sorry but I have to ask, are you sure your running a Samsung vibrant ROM? I have heard people talk about having button problems but that's usually when they flash a ROM meant for the samsung i9000. If you are positive your running a Vibrant ROM then look in the thread for your ROM and look for a button fix, usually in the .zip format. If your ROM was ported over from a different phone then there would be a button fix somewhere, if you can't fix it then use this app until we figure out your problem

Hi,
I'm using JB 3.1.2 and I'm experiencing an issue with the device:
once/twice a day, the device simply turns itself off - even when I have enough battery - and in order to turn it on, I have to either click on the "power button" + "home button", or to click "power"+"volume up"+"home" (like I'm accessing the recovery mode); the device won't turn on by clicking the "power" button only.
2nd issue --> on the 'recent calls' log, sometimes missed calls are disappear from the log.
I would be glad to get help here..

Nobody said anything about deleting data. They said clear cache.
If that doesnt work simply re-flash rom over current one in cwm. Your appdata wont be touched. (unless its a wipe rom). If you still have issues then you should backup what you need with Titanium backup pro and do a clean install of rom/gapps by wiping data/factory reset then re-installing rom.
As an alternative to the above you could first try flashing kernel instead see if that resolves. Like Siyah for example.

I have same problem. Reflashing rom, wiping data, cache or dalvik wont work. Ive try some ROMs and will try another. Now Im testing phone after wiping battery stats. Maybe problem is in battery. Somewere I was read that with Samsung 2000mAh battery there was no problems. If You can try to test other battery.
If Yout phone will turn off - press power button about 10-12 seconds - will turn on.

My SGS2 9100P crashed and I had to flash ROM back with Odin, my data still there.
All fine, the phone was back, then I rooted it and....

Long pressing the power button does NOT show the menu where you select vibrate, data... but turns off the phone immediately!!
I think there's some mess in the lock screen configuration files, but I don't know what they are and how to reset them!

No, I mean I checked the secure table and the row it tries to insert is already there...
I checked the other posts, but don't seem to help.
The problem appears when flashing the rooted kernel, which means a new zImage and some superuser files.
I'm going to try to flash back the original zImage and what happens.
Believe it or not, I've been suggested to check my IMEI: it was wrong (generic), so I restored my /efs directory from an old backup and the problems are solved!!!
Does anybody know how this can be?
Coming from HTC so this is a little different for me..I did search these out, just want to be sure.. First, will qbkings method still work since it was done on the first version for this phone and its now on MJ4? I used cf-auto root on my phone. It trips Knox but I didn't care about that. You can find it in the original development forum.
As far as what to wipe for a custom ROM just read the first few posts of the ROM you are looking at and the Devs will be very specific as to the steps needed to avoid potential issues.
All the Devs here are very helpful if you have any issues as well.
Hope that helps.

Welcome to the community, bro.
Here's a starter set of instructions, followed by a backup set if you get stuck. [Make sure that you are on MJ4 prior to doing this.]
---------STARTER STEPS
1. Download TWRP (tar/odin flashable) from teamw.in (V2.6.3.7)
2. Download and install Samsung drivers for mobile phones (you may already have these installed)
3. Download Odin V3.07 (you may already have this too, link takes you to what appears to be a master thread for Odin)
See this post for a nice visual and comments, pic and thread provided by a fine gentleman that has about the coolest user name I've seen on any forum
At this point you can decide whether or not you want simply stock rooted, which TWRP can give you without flashing anything, or if you want to install a basic stock rooted rom, kindly provided by @freeza, can select DeOdex or Odex, thread here
4. Download MJ4 DeOdex or Odex and place it on your phone
5. Power off your phone
6. Put your phone into Download Mode (voldown+home+power)
7. Flash TWRP with Odin and boot into it once done (volup+home if Odin auto reboots your phone or volup+home+power if it's off)
8. If you decided to simply go stock rooted, then go to reboot>system and TWRP will ask if you want root, if not, then proceed to flash MJ4 DeOdex or Odex
9. Profit
---------PLAN B IF ABOVE FAILS YOU
[Some just can't get Odin to play nice with the TWRP tar, don't know why.]
1. Follow QBKing77 video and install root using CF method, thread here
2. Download img file for TWRP from Team Win site, flash using app from Play Store called Flashify
3. Flash recovery
4. Follow the rest of the outlined under the heading "Starter Steps"
---------AFTERTHOUGHTS...
Once successful, go into TWRP, backup only your EFS, then separately, backup boot, system, and data. Throw your EFS backup on your PC and Dropbox in case of emergency (hopefully you won't need it).
Pick a rom you like, and start fiddling. Support the devs, have a blast.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Yeah, it is. But there's a reason I layed the steps out so broadly and specifically; half of that was given to me (the stuff above the Plan B line) by one whom knows far more than most, and I still had to do the stuff for which I hadn't planned. Worse, I got stuck at that horrifying yellow Sprint logo, with no bootup. I pulled my SD card and the battery, powered up again, and I only then had success. Most have no issues, but thankfully enough have that there were similar experiences conveyed across these forums.
I really hope that you have a trouble free experience.
