Reboot of your phone...
I have had another gallery related issue...
i have transfered photos and videos from my other phone via 'drag and drop' and these appear fine however photos that i have taken on the phone itself do not appear in any album. when i open the camera application i can see the photos in the 'review' box in the bottom corner but they just dont show in the gallery?
anyone any ideas?

Reboot for many time already
Any suggestion ?
reboot is not the answer!
my phones is only 2 days old and i would seriously hope that rebooting it after only 2 days is the answer to fix my problem.

Yes, I think so.
I just wanna know, Is anyone found this issue like me? Is this software problem? To make sure that my device is fine.
Go into settings, applications, manage applications and find the gallery under all tab and click clear data and clear cache.

I am having a stupid market bug. I don't know if you have the same annoying thing.
When I want to open the pictures of application some pictures don't show. If there are 4 pictures when I wanna view them 3 of them shows. One of them shows only black screen. Its so damn annoying.
If there are 2 pictures it displays one of it other one shows black only. thumbnails show without a problem. It happens only when u click them and and view fullscreen. doesn't matter if there are 2 or 10 pictures. One of it doesn't show always.
Does it happen to you?

ehh dont know what to suggest but have you tried wiping the data/cache for market in the settings/application menu?
never happened to me but that could be an option..if its market as you say giving you the problem find it through your applications settings and clear it..reboot and see if it happens again

I have tried wiping market chache and uninstalling market updates maybe 5 times but no luck...
It happens with this stupid new market.
Count me in. Exact same problem. I thought everyone using latest 3.1.5 has this problem, but couldn't find a post mentioning it other than yours!
I manually installed 3.1.5 apk though. It didn't automatically updated, so I don't expect any better than this. What's yours story? Updated manually or automatically?
Market 3.1.5 dedicated thread is there,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1272152
what about unistalling it through TB and installing and old version? that might help..
anyone else to comment please feel free if im wrong but thats one other solution
Yeh, this happens here as well, across may different roms, reinstalls, etc.
I hope they fix it, its bloody annoying.
Okay here is the problem.. A few months ago, I'm still using original FW from Samsung (GB, 2.3.3).. And out of the blue, this problem occur in my gallery apps (see the red circle in the right;when I view that image, there are nothing to display..) The annoying thing is when I delete that file, it disappear for a moment.. But when I close the gallery apps and opened it again, the files come back again
So I decided to upgrade my FW using custom ROM and rooted my phone. And voila, the annoying thing was gone.. But out of the blue again, the problem came back, and now with another one (in the past there were two, but now become three) I'm just curious how to delete this files, because no matter what, it always come back, and I can't find it either using root explorer.. I know this problem may be solved by freezing gallery via Titanium and using another gallery apps in play store.. But I just wanna use Samsung stock gallery as my image viewer.. Anyone had the same problem with me? Thanks!
sometime i have this trouble, but i replace Gallery to Quickpic and it fixed

Yeah, I did that too before.. But I still think that original Samsung stock gallery was the best image viewer for me =P
One of my friends had the same problem, but the difference is he find that weird annoying thing in the gallery folder (I didn't know which one he used.. My files or root explorer or something else like that) and succesfully delete it.. But as I mention before, I can't find it through root explorer =(
Clearing Cache might help Settings > applications> All >Gallery > clear cache.
This problems occurs sometimes Aosp Gallery too !

Hmm.. Maybe the case was different in every handset.. In your case, maybe it can be solved by the method that you mention before.. But mine was different (maybe)
Hello,
My wife's Galaxy S3 just got updated to Jelly Bean and an very annoying issue has started to occur: download finished notifications of all files that have ever been downloaded on the device (I assume, there's a ton of them) have appeared in the drop down bar. If I press clear all they disappear, but reappear after a short while.
Any idea what's wrong and how can it be fixed?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hiya mate, I've updated my S3 only moments ago and the same problem occurred on my phone. So I did as what you did and searched Google but nothing came up so I tried a few differebt things, including delete a few pictures I didn't need and taking out my SD card and evening stopping a few applications through the app manager but none of them worked. I then proceeded to go on Facebook on my phone and I saw a pic I found funny so I downloaded and the bright idea came from that. Would deleting my download history work and thankfully it did. To do this, click on your app button and the download app should be on the first screen, click on it and delete everything that is in the two tabs. If this doesn't work then I'm sorry but I don't know what else to try. I would provide pics of where the download app is what to delete but I'm on my phone at the moment and navigating on this page is so hard due to it not being mobile friendly.
IT WORKS!

Hi, I've a problem with my Vivo 5 when I see pictures, it's like the cell phone clarifie the picture automatically. The problem ocurrs whenever I see a picture on my gallery or twitter. I don't know why but I open one on my galerry and this effect takes like a little second to appear. I tried searching for an option in the display section but I could'nt find one.
Sorry for my English

Same problem...
Hi! I am having some funny issue with my phone and I am not sure what caused it. I recently reset my phone and have also updated to the December version of OOS.
My problem is that the gallery in instagram and whatsapp is not showing the right thumbnails of pictures. It would show a thumbnail of some other picture but when I tap it shows a different picture.
I thought it might be some cache of app data issue, i cleaned everything and even reset my phone again but the problem is still there. Even the new images doesn't show the right thumbnail but instead shows a thumbnail of an old picture.
Have the same problem on WhatsApp havent find a solution... When i click on Galerie every thumbnail is right... Also cleaned cache... Resetet my phone

Yes after the last update i think
Same issue in OnePlus 7t
I'm also having the same issue with thumbnails in OnePlus 7t. I restored my phone yesterday and Had everything back installed, all the updates and apps. But today onwards I'm having this issue with thumbnails. To view this issue has been seen on Whatsapp, Instagram and even in wallpapers when we choose photos it shows a thumbnail of old photo and when we click, it's a different image. I coward ask the cache and thumbnails. Nothing works
Same here
Unfortunately, this is the fault of the OnePlus gallery application, which is unusable, I have long switched to the gallery from "Simple Mobile Tools" from the Google Store.

I'm having this same issue. I tried disabling the Oneplus gallery App and this does not change anything, so maybe could be an OxygenOS/Android10 issue... any solutions so far?
