Please put this in the correct place if I am posting in the wrong are etc as I am in a hurry and simply want others to be aware.
Its about time we had a list via thread of dodgy sellers on eBay. So to start off....
NAME / COMPANY: M99 aka M99-Shop
PRODUCT BOUGHT: 2800Ahm Battery for Hermes
PROBLEM: Received completely the wrong battery. Item I recieved was an 1500Ahm and was /is in a dangerous condition. The white plastic sticker type back cover is half gone and the battery insides are bulging outward! The item I got is also completely DEAD and nonchargeable
: Two emails sent to seller. No response. Have notified eBay.
[Have also received numerous emails from other buyers who have had the same or similar problems. So all are now taking action to get this account closed]
DETAILS
======
I have received numerous emails from others like myself who have been ripped off by an eBay company / eBayer called "M99" or M99-Shop.
Several of us are in the process of awaiting replies from eBay as to what they are going to do about this seller as we want their account closed down. So far from what we have worked out there have been near on 1000 bad results in the last 30 or so days. The seller does not reply to messages and does not do anything when there is a problem.
The Hermes battery I bought had half the cover missing on the back which made it dangerous as there is exposed parts along with a bulging along part of one of the sides. I will en devour to upload some photos when time allows. The battery I received is dead and will also NOT charge at all. It is the same battery which I bought from another dodgy company called ipods99.com
I ordered the 2800 and received a 1500.
Anyway, I very much hope others see this and if it saves one person the hastles and problems I am now having to go through then brilliant.
Lesson today is:: NO MORE BATTERY BUYING FROM EBAY!!
I bought what was thought to be a 2800 mah battery on ebay. The battery looks good and is has a pretty stout runtime but its actually two 1100mah packs wired in parallel when i disassembled it. equaling 2200mah labeled wrong to 2800. I spent 15 bucks i got what i paid for but im satisfied

Avoid ebay shop: M99 - M99 sales
Avoid buying from an e-bay shop M99 sales. I bought a charger for an MP3 player, which was not compatible. I e-mailed twice and this guy just ignores any communications.
Most of the negative is for sending the wrong or faulty goods and not providing refunds. This guy is cheap, but there is a good chance you will get the wrong stuff or even something which is unsafe - please AVOID.
If you look at his feedback, he has a 96% positive, but this hides the fact he has over 1000 pieces of negative in the last 12 months. Yes, over 1000 people have complained and E-bay still let him trade - can that be right (well it appears so, provided you keep above the level of 95% positive, which is the magic % set by e-bay). Could you imagine a shop on the high street continuing business if it provided such poor customer service that one in 20 trades was dodgy!
Hi,
On Monday I have received this 2800 ma extended battery ordered few days before:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/HTC-TOUCH-PRO-2-II-EXTENDED-2800mAh-BATTERY-COVER-NEW_W0QQitemZ160356657205QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioTVElectronics_PDAsAccessories_PDABatteries?hash=item2556006835&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Some pics of the thing plugged on my phone are attached.
So, ok I must admit, the phone looks is heavier but it doesn't feel really bulkier on hands.
The main drawback is that the stylus is harder to pull, you'll have to stop bitting your nails to get it
The finish it not that bad for the price you paid. it's the same glossy one as the original back cover.
Regarding the battery life, I got it on Monday evening, now it's Friday morning and I still get 10%!!! My use is above average with push on windows mail / gmail (since 2 days), internet, some calls/ sms, music through A2DP...
Whatever, I feel the battery life is at least 2 times the stock 1500ma battery.
I think it worth the try especially for the price!
By the way, I just saw a 3000ma battery on ebay this morning. The back cover looks better but the seller has "0" feedback.
Thibaud
Thanks. Can you show us a picture of the back, where the loudspeaker is please? and let us know how it goes in terms usage. -This could be great for short trips instead of bringing a charger.
2nd the picture on the back, and while your at it one of the bottom please. Nobody is making one for sprint yet (we have the 3.5mm jack), and I'm wondering if a little dremmel work on the new back cover would make it fit my phone.
Thanks!
I've had more then my fair share of experience buying non-oem batteries and it has never been pleasant. At most, I only get a few months out of them before they start draining really fast or fail to charge to 100%. For only 15 quid, I'm skeptical as ever.
Please report back your results in a month or so.
got that battery, awhile back, haven't reeally put it through the paces, cause I have a T-mobile branded phone, and at the time, I bought the battery(few months back) it never mentioned that it only fit unbranded
I posted a review on another site, so I will paste part of it here with some pics.
I bought one of these off eBay and it was advertised for the T-Mobile Touch Pro2. While the battery fit, the cover did not. (The T-Mobile Touch Pro2 has a really thin battery cover.)
I was wondering how that error was made.
Now on seeing this post and your pics, well... it's that the cover the seller sent to me was for the European Touch Pro2 model (and U. S. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon?)
My cover looks exactly like the one in the pictures, so I know that it is the same one .
I contacted the seller and he said to send him pics of the issue so he could inform the engineers. I humored him and sent the pics, never to hear from him again. He wanted me to pay for return shipping to get a refund. Since it was a $25 purchase I just said forget about it and left him negative feedback.
Now as to the item, the battery seems well made (I tested it while the phone was sitting on my desk. I just could not take it anywhere since I did not have a proper cover.)
But be warned, while the cover looks OK in the pics, it is cheap soft pliable plastic. To me it looks and feels like it will warp over time or parts of the plastic will suffer fatigue damage.
It attaches (near as I can tell) via small protrusions around the phone where it clips on. Since it's cheap plastic I can envision the clips breaking or warping. Leave it in the hot sun, on a car sear or dashboard, I suspect the cover will warp, if not melt.
All said and done, since the battery works well (so far, in my limited testing) it is worth the price I paid ($25 shipped.) It says on the package there is a 12 month warranty. Does that mean it will be worth the expense to ship the return and pay for shipping a replacement back to you (probably $30), probably not.
Batter 2800
I also got this battery with cover for my Vodafone TP2. Sure plactic is cheap (I cannot tell that original back cover is much better...), but hole for stylus disappointed me at all- I have to use pen or scissors to extract it out. Better do not leave it thee at all.
Anyway battery works longer.
I am much content with replacement battery 1600mAH which lasts longer than original (bought on UK ebay , too).
Hi everyone, I bought the G tablet for my son for Christmas and having been searching for accessories ever since. My persistence paid off. I emailed ViewSonic directly and called repeatedly until I finally got through to a legit person. I was advised on January 19th that accessories such as a docking station, cases, and other plug-ins are on the way. I was promised to have a docking station sent to me free of charge, so I'll let you know when that comes and I'll post some pictures. The timeline was vague, but he said within 4 weeks the accessories should start showing up at Office Depot and the other retailers selling the G tab. I'll keep everyone posted.

That would be so nice, as long as it's a good price point I welcome accessories here in the states and 'readily' available.
I hope this holds up!
... I'm really tired of shipping stuff.

I'm curious. Did you send in the free dock rebate thingy with Sears or did they just offer you one because you were persistent? I would really like one and I can be quite persistent too.
That's great news - I bought a case from Staples that's meant for the Ipad supposedly that's just gotten a teensy bit too big for the gtab so having a nicely fit jacket would be helpful.
After three calls and 2 conversations with his secretary, the individual I talked with said he had overall responsibility for the Gtab. We talked about the many accessories and at the end of the call he offered the dock. It was from persistence.

What was said here? Can you elaborate?
Carrying cases, cases with keypads, and docking stations were mostly discussed. He kept coming back to the docking station saying it could either stand next to a desktop or alone on a desk. We also discussed the carrying cases, which he made it sound like a leather case because he indicated that it would be nice to take to meetings for professionals. He said many accessories will begin showing up at the retailers, but we really didn't go through a whole list. I'm just as anxious as everyone else to see what many accessories ends up being and the docking station when that arrives.

I hate to sound like a skeptic; however I have heard this same story from them since Thanksgiving and it is always the same time line given. While I would truly be happy if this was real, my advice would be to not get your hopes up too high.
There are G Tablet users on here scouring the web looking for alternatives that work for this tablet. There are also a plethora of new 10" tablets starting to hit the market which seem to have more accessory support than our G Tablets. Those accessories should work very nicely for our tablet and we will then have a variety of items to choose.
While I am a HUGE fan of this tablet (I own 2 of them); I have been very disappointed with Viewsonic and the very poor go to market strategy (or lack thereof) which was employed.
Misses on this tablet:
1: They did not have accessories ready to ship when tablet released
2: The ROM was at best half baked and disappointed EVERYONE; this caused something with great hardware to quickly accumulate a bad rep with little hope of recovery. Lets be honest... it has gotten pretty bad reviews!
3: Little to no marketing effort on the behalf of Viewsonic. (They just dumped it out there and no real fan fare was given. I would attribute that to the fact they knew the ROM was crap and did not want to attract too much attention).
4: No real effort on Viewsonic's part to really turn this situation around; oh yes they have made a few cosmetic changes to the ROM... but really folks... that is about it.
Hits on this tablet:
1: Excellent hardware
Champions:
The XDA Devs who took on the monumental task of making this tablet worth owning! The only reason I have two of these is because of all of the efforts and sharing being done by the XDA community as a whole. Viewsonic needs to finacially support these devs and give all of us an accessory of our choice or ship us an upgraded device (whatever they are going to replace this with in the future) due to the primary fact they we beta tested this device and were used as unwitting Guinna pigs by Viewsonic.
Again... don't hold your breath... you will surely turn blue and die before this happens.
I am very happy with this tablet and for what I wanted in a tablet this will serve me well for quite a while. Just remember when something is Bleeding Edge... it does mean YOU will bleed while trying to make the new technology work!
Just my two cents worth....
I guess we will collectively hold our breath...
Perhaps off topic but has anyone seen any sales numbers (units sold) for the gTablet? It probably wouldn't make economic sense to roll out a line of accessories if sales sucked. I did some research last week and didn't find anything. Plenty out there on competitors tablets though.

I'm guessing not so good seeing how several retailers returned all of their stock. The reviews were mostly negative or mixed at best. All of this was due to crap ROM it shipped with. The average consumer would much rather shell out the extra money for a different tablet instead of going through the trouble of flashing a custom ROM like us.

I agree...
The only thing holding this up is the HARDWARE. I'm currently looking to put a newer ROM on there than the one I put on after I discovered the monstrosity they had shipped it with..
A leather jacket would be great.

I ordered the dock from Merimobiles on the 17th and it arrived today on the 31st. Completely took me by surprise. I was trying to beat the Chinese New Years. I was expecting it in another few weeks frankly. Too bad Viewsonic didn't have a number of these in wait at the launch. Probably needed to rebrand. A sticker would have sufficed for me. Now to get back to testing it ....
Has anyone received a defective docking station? Mine will not charge the Tablet. I placed the tablet in the docking station and plugged the station in a wall outlet with the AC/DC convertor I got with the Tablet. The light on the tablet never came on and the tablet was never charged.
Also, there was something fairly heavy that was moving around inside the dock as you rotated or shifted it. I don't know if something was broken inside or it was just a weight used to make the dock more stable. It just didn't seem normal. When I contacted Merimobiles they seemed upset and said that no one had returned this unit and that it was a very well-made item.
Well, I'm returning it.

Consider yourself lucky. I ordered mine from Merimobiles on 12/29 and still have not received it. I got one reply from them after several attempts that the processing got delayed b/c of Xmas and that it didn't ship until 1/4. I finally got a tracking number and it says it shipped on 1/26. I'll spare you all the language that is going through my head for this company.
I like to see some accessories here in the US also. I’m a little leery about buying thing from overseas vendors. Either way I think we’ll be waiting a while for something to show up.
I emailed for an update on the accessories that are due out and the response "You will see accessories in stores March 1". Still holding my breath.
Feel free to check my market link... Docks, cases, screen protectors, and chargers are available (in the states)

PM sent about the case.
I promised my brain injured son a netbook or tablet for his birthday. (The injury was to his right brain and his left brain is normal.) He will be 37 on Friday, but in a lot of ways he functions around 4 to 7 years old. And he loves to play Angry Birds on my HTC EVO View.
The director of his adult day care program and I talked at length about it. We came to the mutual conclusion that giving him a tablet is extremely risky It has to be a 7" tablet with a Gorilla Glass screen and a battery that is not removable.
For a couple of weeks I've grown weary of checking craigslist and store ads daily for something suitable. At this point an HTC Flyer appears to be the best choice, even though $300 is way out of my comfort zone. When I finish posting, they are holding one for me at Best Buy...
I bought an M-Edge zip-up pouch (that is a bit oversized) and a new lunch box with an outside pocket that the M-Edge pouch will fit into. His daycare program will secure the tablet each morning and put it back in his lunchbox when they check for things that don't belong to him just before he gets on the van to come home.
He will only be allowed to use the tablet at the day care program's computer desk as a reward for not having tantrums or taking other people's things. At home it will only be allowed to be used at the kitchen table.
I will secure it to the desk at the program and the kitchen table at home with a laptop lock / security cable (alarm?). Unfortunately, if he defeats the cable lock, the Flyer could wind-up in the bathtub (Like his Mother's Droid X). And he is pretty good at getting rid of the evidence of things he destroys.
Something like a Seidio Convert or Otterbox Defender case would help protect it from falls and also give me something to attach the security cable to. Unfortunately, Seidio may never make a case for the Flyer, and the Otterbox
Defender is not available yet. I really like the idea of a silicone skin inside a polycarbonate shell. (Seidio active and convert cases have done a pretty good job protecting my EVO 4G phone.) I hope someone knows of a similar case.
Plan 2 is to use something like double sided tape to secure a silicone skin inside a leather folio case (so he can not take it apart easily). Either way, I need to make sure the Flyer is protected when he drops it. But I also need something that he can not easily remove to attach a security cable to.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hello.
I'm very sorry to hear about your son.
But if you would breathe easier with a cheaper tablet, I would wait for the kindle fire to release. Its only $200 and has all the capabilities of a normal tablet but with Amazon's restrictions on it (ie he will be able to play angry birds and much more on it)
Don't quote me on this but I believe it has a gorilla screen protector but I'm not too sure on whether or not it has a permanent battery.
Also, you would be able to spend around $60 adding protection to it. Bodyguardz tab protector, and maybe an otterbox if it releases at the time.
You can preorder it now and you'll get it by Nov 15.
All in all, its going to be $100 cheaper than the flyer.
I hope this helps
theomni, Thanks for your reply. First they told us he would never survive the surgery. Then they told us if he ever came out of the coma he would be a vegetable. After 17 days he woke up.
These days, he would be just as happy discussing where they give out the best toys with happy meals as he would be discussing the pitching staff of the Arizona Diamondbacks. (And I don't watch baseball, so I have no idea how he knows that stuff.) I never use the "R" word, so he surprised the heck out of me a few months ago when, out of the blue, he told me he is glad he is retarded because his brothers have house payments...
He is actually pretty happy and outgoing most of the time. He pretty much says what's on his mind. (in fact, he hardly ever stops talking.) For the most part the economy (and bad knees) forced me into retirement. But occasionally, when we get a job he looks forward to helping me. His pay is usually a happy meal or a $5 toy at WalMart.
Some of his favorite activities at the day care center are zoomba(?), bowling, dancing, and he knows the words to every country song that plays on the little Sony FM radio that's usually in his pocket. I'm kind of like my dad, the radio interferes with thinking. (And riding in the truck with him would be a lot easier if he didn't sing along so off key.)
He's not so happy when he gets in trouble for taking the batteries out of the remote control instead of just asking for one. If we go to a customer's house, I have to check his pockets before we leave. He gets caught with "other people's things" in his pockets at the day care several times a week. It could be one of his nephew's toys or something from our house they find when he gets there. Or it could be something like a cell phone that belongs to one of the staff when it's time to go home. Trying to reason with him about that is like trying to reason with the dog. It just doesn't work.
A few days ago when I picked him up and we checked his pockets he had a toy that belongs to another "client". When I asked him to give it back he told me and the director of the program we don't have to worry about him taking things from stores because they have cameras and would call the police.
Keeping track of what he has in his pockets keeps us on our toes. That's why I have so much concern about getting him a tablet.
Anyway, we were on our way to Best Buy this afternoon when he told me he would rather have $50 to spend on anything he wants at Toys R Us instead of a tablet. So I'm off the hook, at least until Christmas.
I appreciate you sharing what you're going through. I have a daughter that is developmentally disabled, though she is only 4, and I can sympathize with your trials.
Just as my opinion, I would echo what theomni said about the kindle fire. It is likely to have quite a huge aftermarket for accessories and may have either exactly what you need in terms of a case/security method or at least something easily modified.
Good luck in your search if you are able to put it off until Christmas.
You all are in my prayers and if you do decide to buy a htc flyer. They have a otterbox defender shell coming out for in the next couple of weeks. The toughest shell you could ever buy I have one for every device I have. Might want to look into it. They may have one for any tablet u might purchase just check into the site periodically they are always adding a new shell. And again you all are in my prayers. God bless you all and I wish you all the most happiness and serenity in the world.

And check Amazon they have a case that's similar to the otterbox. I would have to look up the name or the case and get back to you with the link

Hey, thanks for the update. I wish you all with the best of luck with your challenges. I pray that it becomes easier
Well, this happend sometime ago but i figured i'd share it just in case.
so, i dropped the stylus pen (for the hunderdth time or so) and it fell directly on the nib, cracking it almost into two halfs.
i started looking for replacements nibs. HTC had no idea what i was talking about, and after a short search i found this:
https://store.motioncomputing.com/TABproducts.asp?SolutionCatID=95&LevelID=3&TabID=1
i have no idea why or how htc, thinkpad and this guys all have the same pens but they are the only ones selling nibs.
i purchased the 5 for 13 kit, got it after a while from a friend living in the states. (shipping is ridiculously expensive out of the USA).
the replacement took about a second, you simply yank one out, and shove the new one back inside.
it's not the original color, but it works just the same.
so incase anyone else should encounter a destructive fall - its a solution.
