Just Wondering....
Why does it recently seem like all of the Threads I'm Interested in are getting Locked? I tried to read some of the Posts and some of them just Don't really even have a reason to be Locked... At least as far as I can see!
To sum it all up basically I Didn't really see Anything that would be considered Against the Rules. Like I said at least as far as I'm aware of!

it is usually locked bc it was once an extensive problem but in the thread is a way to resolve the issue... if you have tried the fix in the thread and still have issues.... repost... it takes a few more seconds and if youre that eager to get your device fixed you should take the initiative to post on your own if needed

Most of the time a lot of the Threads a certain Roms that I'm following, waiting for a Update or a App Thread... Then all of a sudden it seems like it just gets Locked down...

the threads of a DEV getting locked are different... the DEV can lock them or a moderator can if the DEV doesnt reply to the questions about said rom.... and if the DEV is that way about it... what point is their to keep the thread open?
Jolez locked all of his cause he's leaving. Chad's thread got closed by chainfire for no apparent reason and idk about the others....

JCase is recommending the Radio is the Issue for Continous bootloops, Has anybody on the GB CM7 experienced this? Please help so we can narrow down the culprit!

Well due to the fact that nobody looks at the q&a forum i posted here lol. Also this is a developmental issue and it is entirely UNCONFIRMED by JCase himself that it is the radio. Im trying to get a feel of who if all GB Roms / Operating systems for the Thunderbolt are going into bootloop mode.

Seriously the thread nazis suck. No one reads the q&a thread so questions get posted here frequently. But I'm on cm7 and my phone rebooted about five times on saturday but it hasn't since. I might go back to teslacoil though, just to be safe. (i know I'm on the froyo radio and they say it's a radio issue but it can't hurt to be safe right)

Cm7 uses the froyo radio so no one should experience it on cm7. Even if its software related and not radio related they are two completely different roms.

As current roms stand there are no AOSP roms out at the moment . But also bare in mind root status is still very new , if anything still in its infancy . Give it time and before you know it AOSP will be ready for flashing . I know cyanogenmod was ported to the Sensation already , so I dont think EVO3D will be to far off from that . Some Devs have had roms on standby waiting for root to hit but never had a device to test stability on (even though there were s-off devices running around in the wild) . Like I said give it more time , heck the development thread has already started up with kernal threads and rom threads . The fun is just now begining so kick back and enjoy the ride
I'm not trying to be rude but there's a fee threads on this already.
But yeah first I heard it would be ported and cyanogen wouldn't officially support it then I heard that toastch is working on it. So I can't wait either.

That was my entertainment everyday until we got S-OFF and root.
I have a bootable cm7 port, and I need a experienced porter/kernel dev to take it over or help me get working. Right now there is no usb, sound or network. So please pm me for the download link. We need to get cm7 up and running.

Just leave it alone and let the devs get it working.

You might want to post it up with the download link in the dev section. You might also want to pm some of the dev's making senseless roms they have been taking out sense stuff and adding aosp stuff lately, so they might know what needs to be in there to make it work.

This doesn't belong in the Development section and to tell you the truth shouldn't even be in this section. You should of done a search and seen there's already a thread on this. You don't even have the newest version. There's already one with touchscreen and Sound working and it boots.

Dude what do you think the development section is for? Maybe developing a rom possibly? Look at the op's join date 2007, I highly doubt he is noob, which would make me assume this is a real trying to recruit people to work on this.
Also it is better to have more people working on something than just one. If only one person had worked on our root we might still only have temp root now. revolutionary didn't just stop because they heard somebody else was working on root.

Why are you knocking him for trying it on his own? Every Dev has to start somewhere. If he wants to attempt to learn, people should be encouraging him not telling him to leave it alone for the "real" devs. When I ported clockwork recovery to the dell streak 7 I knew nothing about Linux or android development , but the community helped me learn the ropes and encouraged me to get it done, Not discouraged me telling me to leave it alone and wait for a more experienced Dev to get it working.

Um, so what if somewhat is already working on it? For all we know this guy may be more talented than Toastcfh. Perhaps he can find the solution to something that Toast cannot figure out... Bottom line, Android development is a collaboration and we shouldn't scold people for trying to help, develop, and contribute.

i think the OP should keep up the good work. since when was it a rule that a specific dev can work on CM7 and no one else. XDA is supposed to be about helping others when help is needed, not scolding people and trying to break their spirits. all the OP is doing is asking for a little help, and like someone previously stated, he may have found/fixed something that the other devs working on CM7 missed

Just saw that they have completed testing on Rezound, Vivid, Raider, Sensation, Amaze of course, and 1 or 2 more devices. This is going to be massive!
Hope after they rocked the forum, they would occasionally give us some updates on their progress, so many people are waiting for this...

Check the OP of Fuses and Globaltrons thread... That's where ALL updates will be. Really, the only update needed is "hey, s=off script works safely and is now ready for release." They have given several updates for those that want to read the thread. What else do you really want? I mean, it will be released when it's released, and until then, we don't bug the OP about it, we don't post in their thread, and we just wait patiently. Idk why that's so hard for some people. I mean damn, they had to lock the thread. Smh. It sounds like you already know about the updates, since u just posted that they're waiting on just a couple more devices to work...

Are you serious? Why would I even pay attention to your trolling? Perhaps people in the Rezound forum have nothing to discuss either, they just hit 340+ comments in 5 days, cuz just have some time to waste. I just wanted to post something since im new to Posting threads although i visit XDA a lot to see what Devs are upto and how far they've got with ICS. I've got a desire HD too and i cant wait to get a fully working ICS rom on it. If you think this thread is useless, good for you.

Than you for taking the time OP, we are all interested in the update. However, there are a million and one threads on the topic, and if as you say you have been reading a lot already.... then then was no need to start a new thread.
MODS: Can we get ONE of the threads PURELY for ICS info posts, and just lock all the others? It is pointlessly taking up forum space now on this stuff.
When its there we will all know it, until then just keep waiting or run a custom rom with ICS an lose the 3D and camera until official ICS is released.

Yeah these threads just keep getting posted. People should search before posting the obvious.
Ugh if I feel like it I'll try and create a main thread for ICS stuff like I did for the EVO 4G LTE...
too many of these threads pop up all over the place and we did have a few that were actually useful but seems as time goes on everyone wants to post a new thread on it now...

The problem is with each ICS thread the OP isn't updated over time to show the latest rumors/news...most are just made and left...hence the multiple threads...
If done it'd be with pstevep permission like the EVO thread I did. Makes it easier for the actual forum mod as they can just lock/delete the new threads created and direct people to the one...
Look I don't care honestly. Was just a suggestion that'd make it possibly easier to follow...
