Battery Icon not moving - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I have a quick and easy question for you.
Whenever you plug your Galaxy S II into the charger does the battery icon start getting filled up? I mean the little animation where the battery meter is filling up over and over again until it has been fully charged.
On my phone the icon is static. The lightning icon appears but the animation is gone.
I've just had for my phone in for repairs and they updated it to ICS. I've never had this problem before, could it be related to ICS?
Thanks for you help!
Mikkel

If you phone is rooted, change you battery mod, if not wait new update

so is it ICS realated? (mine is 4.0.3 XXLPW and same issue with the battery icon)

well check for animation settings under display settings and see if it has been set to 'none' if so then set it to 'some animation' and see.
if the same thing is not there in display settings, then check under ' developer options' in systemsettings

There is only 'window animation scale' and 'transition animation scale' to set in ICS. Nothing about icon animation or so. Thanks.

[Q] GB 2.3.4 = no more battery charged green led indicator?

Hello.
One of the things I've noticed after upgrading to GB 2.3.4 is that no more green led indicator when battery is fully charged.
Is there a tweak for this to bring it back?
Thank you.
I don't believe it ever did for stock ROMs. I always had green while charging then it went off when charged.
I use Circle Battery from the market and with this app you can tell it what colors to display on screen and/or LED when charging, charged, in use, warning and critical.
It does work on stock 2.2, but after upgrade to any 2.3.4 (stock or custom) it doesn't...
On my atrix it only lit when battery is fully charged and flashes on some notifications. Not sure why you had it in reverse.
I found "Circle Battery Widget" and "Battery Circle" neither of them have control for LED.

I have still yet to do GB since I have that on my SGS, and it's a PITFA to go back to Froyo on the Atrix.
Anywhoo... The green charging light works in Froyo. It starts lighting up at 90%, and stays on until you take the phone off the charger.
Don't know how this behaves on GB, so I can only go off of what OP says it does (which kinda sucks)...

Circle Battery Widget does. Start the app from the apps menu>Select Colors>then you have the different custom colors to select based on status. You can also change the percentage for the warnings levels.
When it is plugged in and charging the widget will change color on LED. And, widget changes on the screen. There isn't a specific setting box for it, but it works for both screen and LED.

Oh, ok, for the moment I went back to 2.2.2 and it colors on widget don't affect colors of LED. But it's good to know that there is a way for 2.3.4 get it activated.
Thanks.
you can use "Light Flow" or "Blink" from the market. both allow you to customise the LED colour and what type of notification.

[Q] Battery % for Alliance ROM

how can I make it show battery % in notification bar? I'm using AllianceROM XWLPX-V4
If it's the same as in stock ICS 4.0.4, then:
Settings - Screen, there is an option to turn battery percentage on.

[Q] led bar doesnt work properly on AOKP custom rom

hey guys,
i have this sorta weird issue where my phones light bar is not working properly. i looked all over the thread but couldnt find anyone with this same issue.
i flashed a AOKP custom rom recently, im loving the speed, everythings awesome, but the led bars dont work. the normal theme colour thingie is off, which is understandable, but the illumination bar notification app also doesnt work, and the light bars dont work when i use the walkman that i installed later. but weirdly, u-disco can control the lights, and they also light up along with the notification led for phone notifications like low battery, or battery charging.
i was wondering if anycould suggest a way to get at least some of the functionality back.?
im sure that 3rd party apps can control the light bar cuz u disco pulled it off.
any help would be greatly appreciated

What's your phone? If your phone is Xperia U, search for Xperia U illumination files and download and get ADB server because the RunMe.bat should only be work with ADB and place all files in ADB folder. Then run the RunMe.bat twice in order to be sure. If it's done, now you can get illumination with illumination bar notification app.
That's all? No! You would like to set theme in illumination bar notification but it always turning off.
Now you change your display settings. Follow this fix which is not mine.
ILUMINATION BAR FIX FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLADER
i've solved the brightness bug!!!
- settings --> display --> brightness
- set brightness to min level
- settings --> display --> automatic backlight --> light levels --> edit other levels
- set every "screen" and "button" cells to "255" value
- click "save & apply"
- settings --> display --> automatic backlight --> light levels
- check "use custom" box
- settings --> display --> brightness
- set brightness to max level
- check "automatic brightness" box
DONE!!
(to re-activate automatic backlight, simply uncheck "Use custom" in "Automatic backlight" menu)

There are a lot of reasons of why a device is slow when it is charging.
Some people say that it's the battery icon's animation. Others saying that non-original chargers are causing lag.
Also when your phone is charging, heat is generated inside the battery and that causes your device to heat up as well. Some ROMs detect that the device is overheating and adjust the CPU speed accordingly to prevent any damage.
yup
i think its due to battery bar animation but i cudnt find any option to remove it...
whn i hide my battery status it works well but need atleast battery icon over thr

I think CM includes an option to hide the battery icon.
In my device it's in Settings > Status bar > Battery status style.
hmm

Yes that's what I was talking about. In my CM version it includes an option to hide it.

[ROM] MIUI v10.2.24.0 PFAEUXM released

Check change log in the attachment.
received and install , possibility to desactivate fingerprint icon when screen is off.
Thats great.
Just hoping the battery performance is unaffected.
Desactivate the fingerprint icon when the screen is off is a good option for better battery life ? Does the icon drain some battery when on ?
Despite that, after the update my status bar icons are all white in Dark Mode instead of Black like before. So I can't see anything with my currently wallpaper... Any thought ?
