So my phone refuses to work with ics. Tried the ruu and that doesn't even work. Anyway, after I reverted to gingerbread, my phone refuses to read the sdcard. On two seperate roms. There's the option to click mount, but it says preparing, then just umounts immediately. Also, the internal Sd info won't read either

Ok, so my card still had a radio img on the root, and I ran into some issues and needed to boot straight into recovery, but it kept trying to flash the radio. So I threw my memory card in her phone and deleted the file and put the memory cards back in each respective TB.
Now she's getting a **** ton of app force closes. Can someone help me before she castrates me please. lol... seriously. lol
I did a quick search and didn't see anything, but with my balls on the line, I don't have very long to figure this out...
Thanks!!!!

I had to reflash the stock rom. Can't try the fix permissions to see if that works as shes sitting over my shoulder until I've "fixed" it and she just wants her phone back.

Need more info... Are we talking about the manual update from VZW or we talking about a rooted phone trying to flash update a newer radio? If the later are you using a custom ROM?
Weird, she's getting a ton of app force closes after swapping SD cards for a second? Is it possible that your phone wiped out the Move to SD Apps on the SD card? If that's the case, just having her uninstall/reinstall the apps that were moved to the SD card should do it. I did this one accidentally, didn't get any FCs but did get a ton of "application not found."
I don't know why taking out the SD card would cause FCs because technically that's what happens every time you plug your computer into the wall.
If she's rooted - just re-install her rom (without wiping data) - see if that helps.
Gotta love white women. lol
I ran the root program that roots the phone then rant the market app that puts a recovery but not unlocked bootloader. I just got the phone and did it last night. I read if the bootloader is unlocked then there is no 4g, not that I used 4g. Or is there a program that does it all like they have for the Evo 4g?
Did you check lokfish's compendium? Whole list of roms. Also check the development threads they'll have "locked" in the title.

yeah
Thanks KTT16, I did end up reading about a couple and tried one that one person said worked smooth. I ended up some error message and RSD'd back to stock and then decided to go all out and figured out how to unlock bootloader, load Clockwork, and then put ICS on. Then went to sleep at 5am =/ hehe. Now I need to set it up the way I need and then shut down my evo and activate my photon=)
Nice work! If you get a chance try cm7.2 and lokfish's rom.

Within settings there's a box you check to activate internal memory. Cm7.2 is also like this, so it's not a bug.

Thanks everyone,
I did that so then the camera started working because it was asking for the sd card, but it still doesn't charge when I plug it into the computer and the computer still doesn't recognize anything. I press the button that says if I want to send files yada yada. The lightening bolt comes on the battery symbol, but not charging or anything else. I'll check the fixes section that KTT16 mentioned in case he meant something else beside the box to check.
I also want to use the calendar app in my evo. It's on a kings speed 3d rom, but that's another thing so I'll figure out the sd card first.

Hi all,
For the life of me, I cannot find the newest RUU.exe for Gingerbread. I am on a s-off running cleanrom 4.3. I want to revert back to totally stock, stock rom, s-off and all.

Grab the boot IMG out and flash it. You could use the unlock tool to put your recovery back too.
I'll post the directions someone gave me

Bump the old boot manager thread. There's lots of help in there. But when I had your issue I ended up just clearing data, cache and rebooting. Then try again. And most of us have the best luck with boot manager lite.

I have had that error over and over and over and over and over...
reinstalled 10 times and a different problem everytime, once it works it doesn't complete the install.
nothing seems to work, been trying adrenaline and miui, but same error, log calls for edit.sh and it didn't have the correct permission to execute, so i changed it and still same error.
emailed the devs, no response. all i can say is I am extremely glad I didn't waste any money on this crappy app.
I've never made it work on external SD. It will always fail with that error message. It works great on internal for me. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the SD card class (I'm using a class 4), but I only need two slots (Phone ROM and slot 1), so I'm fine with using internal for it.

I only had that issue once when trying to use that app. All I did to fix it was go into Superuser Settings and disable logging like the app site says, and it worked from there on perfectly. In fact I'm still using it.

I will try internal, but for some reason I can't use usb file transfer, it always says insert disk, but uninstall and it works fine.
My sdcard is almost completely empty and su has logging off and grant set, only toast enabled.
hope it works and I can use the mount as disk again.
Edit:
wow my first install complete! using a nandroid, thanks for the tip.
I retract calling this app crappy.

My Amaze likes to randomly forget that it has an /sdcard partition. I end up having to go into 4EXT and use the "Check Partition Alignment" under the Tools menu as well as a Filesystem check. Occasionally it'll corrupt the data of a few random applications too. I'm on the newest Android Revolution with FauxKernel.
