U mean default(stock) themes? This theme will overwrite the default one.

to edit the names, u need to decompile it then go to /res/values/strings.xml
in that strings.xml u can edit the names
and surely you can use flourite mate , i like it too
and download the version 2, i fixed some thumbnails, now they're perfect!

First Extract the DefaultThemes.apk. You would find some folders.
Find these 2 folders.
drawable-hdpi &
drawable-land-hdpi
You will find the theme images.
Now replace them with the desired image you want.
Now recompile the apk.
For this you would need an "apk manager"
To keep the same number of themes u do not need any xml editing. But to add or drop some, u may need edit the xml files.
Now i don't have much idea about xml. In this case Aarush can help u i guess.

You need root. Then use root explorer make a backup of original DefaultThemes.apk on SD card, then copy the modified DefaultThemes.apk into system/app then change permission to rw-r--r--, then reboot.

You haven't mounted it as r/w
Press the r/o button at top right then copy
could someone upload the original DefaultThemes.apk?

Just want to share my defaultThemes.
This is very simple actually, just edit the picture and replace it. but it takes time
If you don't want to wasting time doing this, try mine...
i'm using WT19i, but i think it's work on Mini/Mini Pro too, please post a comment.

Here is the step using Root Explorer (ROOT):
1. Download the defaultthemes.apk [mod] and put it on your sdcard. Rename it first if the file not defaultthemes.apk (v1/v2)
2. Do a BACKUP on your ORIGINAL defaultthemes.apk from System/App
3. Delete defaultthemes.apk original than Copy Paste defaultthemes.apk [mod]
4. Change Permissions to rw-r--r-- or same as other .apk from that folder.
5. Reboot
permissions rw-r--r--

I'm using apktool..
But, there is a shortcut to do this without apktool.. by using winRAR or winZIP
I'll give a tutorial later, if you want to.. i'm mobile right now..

[TUT] how to mod your defaultThemes.apk using winRAR/winZIP
usually, i'm using apktool to decompile. but this one is a shortcut, you still can edit the image..
here is the step :
1. Backup the defaultThemes.apk original first. save it in some place you like ( up to you )
2. Copy defaultThemes.apk to your PC, make a new folder, so you can remember where you put it
3. Open the new folder and double click on defaultThemes.apk. ( set to Open With winRAR from the properties )
4. Double click res folder in the winRAR
5. Drag and Drop the folder drawable-land-mdpi and drawable-mdpi to that new folder on your PC. see the picture
6. Open the drawable-land-mdpi and drawable-mdpi folder, then edit the image. Please do not rename the name of the .png files.
7. If you done your editing, just drag and drop again those both folder into the opened winRAR again. the opposite of step 5. if there is a notification, just press OK
8. Done, put back the defaultThemes.apk [mod] into your sdcard then follow the step from the First Post
NOTE:
1. I already test this method, worked fine. but i'm not responsible if your phone goes bootloop
2. Cannot rename the title label, but not that necessary right?
3. Do with your own risk
4. Sorry for my poor English, hope you guys can understand

i'm affraid you cannot read the text well , i already try it..
i will try to make it brur or lowered the brightness.

Xperia S has preloaded cosmic flow apk in system/app so probably your friend with lt26i has a conflikt with installing app... Check his cda... Maybe this make a diferent.

xmls and smalis are compiled... Need to decompile->edit->compile modded sources->sign->install...
Beware! This app is very hard to edit... Are you ever programming something?
Try copy this (not install - maybe conflict will appear... You can try but not replace if prompt will appear) and reboot phone... See is there any change in theme manager...

This is a fix for "Phonebook, DialPad, SMS and Clock' app background. And it is for ICS 4.0.4 only. If the solution has been ported to XMP already then I am sorry, I found it yesterday in ARC forum and sharing it here.
I am using Xperia S ICS apps for XMP. Credit goes to TK for providing those all apps. But on few apps there was a problem in the background image. Like this- All showed blank/black instead of default theme back ground.

These are for Xperia ARC/ARC S but i tried these on my Xperia MINI Pro and all worked fine too. So please try if you haven't tried it yet.
Big thanks to Sohrab1985 for providing the ICS apk's. And Big thanks to p3001ee also for providing the background fix.

Download and install it manually [push through "system\app"] using root explorer or similar app. Make sure to backup first.

Hi, If you replace the Phonebook.apk then your dial-pad will automatically change as well. Those two are integrated.
And I haven't added or modified any app in the Zip. I am just sharing as it was in the ARC Forum. So there's no more apk. included beside these 4.

Method:
1. move the file you jus downloaded to sd card and rename to DefaultThemes.apk .
2.Use tools like root explorer n back up ur original DefaultThemes.apk found in system/app and then move file you just downloaded to system/
3.change permissions to RW-R-R
4.move file to system/app
5.reboot.
OR
Flash the zip in the attachments through recovery.
1. move the file you jus downloaded to sd card .
2.reboot your phone in to recovery and install the zip.

not in the zip only has the PNG you have to individually istalar
It would be great if some one can create a Holo launcher icon pack using this!

If you have any theme you pass it to the pc unzip it change the icons with their names and then compresses the theme and install it on your cel

or if u hav holo launcher just drag the icons u wana change eg like music get da shortcut on desktop.. press n keep da music shortcut n click edit.. choose da pic wer u extract da icons

hey buddy the walkman icon is missng in ur package if u could repack or sumtng

I forgot to put some on the walkman you what happened here ...these 2 are the launcher icon and the icon of the status bar :fingers-crossed:

other way is rename the xperia launcher to xperia launcher.zip n paste on ur pc.. n ul find folders wer der are icon pics.. just c each icon n da folder eg like comlaunchersettings, den rename da xperia z setting icon to comlaunchersettngs.. m replace it wit da icon n folder... if my pc was nt dead i would hav done some expriment lol
