I use a ROM form overcome for my tab 10.1 ...
I added a lot of things to this ROM,,like scripts themes etc
now the portable hotspot in my setting don't work ok,,
I can see the network on my laptop but when I connect I don't get IP or somthing..
I tried app from the market and it works !!
any help please.

i am using a proxy server and connected to a router.. i just want to ask that if i use a custom rom on my samsung galaxy s2 and install autoproxy from market ... will it work for me ??? bcoz i tried on htc hd2 and it working fine.. not sure about galaxy s2 bcox it already have proxy settings in wifi setting .. bt it supports only browser not all the apps .. so help me guyz on this... sorry fo bad english ..

yes it should do as autoproxy is a transpareent proxy meaning the apps dont know it is running

anyone have a fix for a wpa_supplicant for ICS ROM 4.0.3 to connect to a adhoc connection?

i'm looking for the same thing... i used the old one and it sees the Adhoc wifi but does not connect...it says wifi supplicant: bad...i'm not sure what to do next.

My suggestion would be to not use beta test roms that have not been released by Samsung that have multiple bugs ,Beta is as Beta does .

wpa_supplicant is available open source ! i dont know why some experienced
cooker / developer dont compile and patch that for us :'(

even after release of SGS II kernel source it is not posible to enable ad-hoc on this device ? I am sure there is working one for other devices like motorola xoom :'(

Hi friends i'm useing s3 and i tried to use WiFi Direct.. i m not able to use this feature....it just connects to the other wifi direct phone there is no option for share via wifi....also no incoming file is received via wifi direct...???

recently i found a very very easy way to connect to my wifi (The Option : connecting via PIN FROM ACCESS POINT ) i after hours of googling i noticed that this option was only for ics (AND GOT SOME BUGS) so the google trashed it away..
i was wondering if any nice dev or guy would port it on 4.3 for me.. TNX
(Att: just in general for guys that might make mistakes about what i requested -------> it is diffrent from WPS PIN ENtry option)
any helpp would be appreciated (already tried other tips , so dont need one.)
(sorry for bad typing or bad english)
(Using 4.3 latest version efextrem 5.0)
The ****ty and too many customized Samsung roms trashed this function.
Under CyanogenMod are existing both WPS button and PIN.

Don't use this function on your wifi router. Disable it right now. Its very easy to hack wifi which has this function enabled. I have hacked such wifi plenty of times. That's why i keep it disabled on my home router. And even force my friends to do it.

dude i really dont care about my wifi being hacked (Unlimited Bandwith but 300KB speed) so if there is the way about porting things i really want to flash and have the option on my i9300 .. So TNX anyway

I really don't know is this right forum but I really need somebody's help....
I just upgraded my S8+ to Android Pie and my OpenVpn client stopped working. I have tried to google it but don't know sure if it is common problem or just problem of my ROM. I am using Alex Rom v7.5 and I 've asked this also there but haven't got any answer.
So... do you know is this common problem for Android 9 or just me? I get an error that app cannot get the permission to use the vpn.
I haven't found a way to manage that. I have openvpn server at home and before this everything has been worked just fine.
Also my Nordvpn client do not work also...
Anybody knows more?
