[Q] Everything crashing after installing Go Launcher Theme - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S2 International which has been running CM7 for a few months. A few days ago I started using Go Launcher. However, I installed a ICS theme for Go Launcher and after restarting it I can't open most apps (Google Play, Phone, Gmail, Whatsapp, Titanium Backup, etc) as they force quit as soon as opening them and android.process.acore also crashes repeatedly. If I go to settings and try to uninstall Go Launcher and the ICS theme they uninstall very quickly (almost instantly) and when I reboot the phone they are reinstalled again? Is there any way I can fix this without wiping? Thank you.

Also, I cannot do a Nandroid backup.

[Q] Download Manager (process.android.media) stopping unexpectedly?

I rooted my Xperia x10 last night using flashtool, and then proceeded to delete unecessary apps using titanium backup. I uninstalled timescape & mediascape, as I never used them, and I don't know whether that has anything to do with the functioning of my phone now, because I can't download anything. I just keep receiving the message "sorry! download manager (process.android.media) stopped unexpectedly. please try again."
I've done a restore on my phone, with no avail. I can't even re-download Titanium to re-install what I backed up, just to see whether any of those uninstallations were the root of this problem.
What remains on my phone is as follows:
alarm
backup & restore
calculator
camera
facebook
gmail
market
messaging
phone dialer
phonebook
sim toolkit
settings
superuser
support
sync
talk
UEFA.com
Can anyone help with this?
Thankyou.
I thought there was a portion of Mediascape you need to keep.
Maybe not.
Right now you have no picture or media player do you? I would suggest getting something....that might be the issue.
That would cause an issue with any wallpaper you try and set and would prevent you from recording any video using the stock camera.

fixing force close

Hi,
I'm using x10 mini pro rom Clean v5 and the rom installs fine and all the apps run fine on fresh install.
but after a week or month of use all my apps starts getting force close.
I clear cache and it still happens.
to fix it, I need to wipe and restore apps. Restoring an image backup does not fix it.
does anyone know what the problem could be?
I only install apps from amazon app market and normal market.
thanks.

[q] few questions before factory restore

My android is causing some problems. I am planning to factory restore my phone.
I have a few questions...
I have purchased lots of apps from Google play store. I do not want all the apps to be downloaded. How can I prevent all apps from getting downloaded to my phone?
There is a firmware upgrade waiting to be installed right now. is it possible to delete the firmware? I do not want to put that on my phone....
Re-downloading Apps
It has been my experience that only those apps that were actually installed on the phone are automatically re-downloaded. So, you could go to Settings, Apps, ALL, and uninstall those apps that you don't want to be downloaded after you restore. It might also be good to reboot after uninstalling, and before restoring.

How about purchased apps? I do not have any purchased apps installed on my phone (just purchased). I do not want them to be downloaded.

"Unfortunately, Nova Launcher has stopped working" after I uninstalled stock launcher

"Unfortunately, Nova Launcher has stopped working" after I uninstalled stock launcher
OK, so I have a rooted QMobile Z10 running Android Lollipop 5.1
I was clearing up bloatware from my device and I thought I wouldn't need the stock launcher because I always used Nova, so I uninstalled that as well. Ever since then, I can't get Nova to work no matter what I do, so I've been switching between other launchers and they all work just fine. I tried reinstalling Nova several times, I tried wiping my data, I tried making it a system app, nothing seems to work. What should I do?

Yo will most likely need a new device as that one can't handle it. Only thing I can figure since you gave zero information.
