[Q] Auto forward on connection to wifi? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone found an app that will automatically forward calls based on location or preferably connection to wifi?
I'd like to setup my phone to automatically forward calls to my home phone when my device connects to my wifi router. The cellular signal in my house is really spotty.

WI-FI connection

Anyone knows the settings for using WI-FI for downloads at home instead of the cell network?
you simply turn on Wifi, and give it your network password so it can connect, and as long as it is connected to WiFi it should not use the cellular network other than to notify you of texts or incoming calls

[Q] Tasker - Toggle WiFi off when cell network is HSPA

I posted this in Nexus 4 Q&A a month ago, but received no responses. I badly need this, so any info is appreciated!
I need to set up a tasker profile so that it monitors cell network type, not mobile data type, as cell network type can be monitored while connected to a WiFi access point.
If cell network type is HSPA or LTE, then turn WiFi off.
If cell network type is not HSPA or LTE, then turn WiFi on.
I need this so that my phone will connect to a Verizon jetpack when I am in a crappy EDGE area, but automatically starts using my unlimited data on the phone when I am in an HSPA or LTE area. I will be driving all summer and this would help keep data costs down.
Does anyone know of a plugin for tasker or another app that will monitor cell network type?
The phone is a Nexus 4 running CM 10.1 nightlies.

[Q] csipimple pbxes.org not working behind netgear wireless router

Currently I have configured my Samsung Google Nexus phone to make calls over data network. My configuration is cSipSimple <--> pbxes.org and Google voice. the setup is working fine for both 4G and 3G network connections. In WiFi I am not receiving any calls if I am behind NetGear wireless router. it is working fine if I am behind other brand routers and in hot spots.
Can you help me in determining the root cause and fixing the issue.
thanks.

Constant disconnect and reconnects when using mobile data on 4G LTE network

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S9+ for a couple of weeks now and noticed a strange issue.
Whenever I'm connected to my service providers 4G LTE network and use mobile data, I can see mobile data along with the mobile network get disconnected and reconnect quite frequently. As in, I can see the mobile signal indicator turn to no signal and then back on again.
It seems to occur when there is a burst of data communicating through the connection. i.e. start of a Youtube video playback, doing a speed test etc. It's quite frequent and annoying.
So far I've tried the following to no avail:
- Network reset
- Using a different SIM card
- Booting the phone in safe mode
Pretty sure it's not a network provider issue because my wife uses the exact same phone with exact same firmware and hers does not have this symptom.
Any help is appreciated.
P.S. - I have not seen the issue when connected to WiFi on the HSPA+ network of the provider. Seems to occur only on 4G LTE.
I tried the following additional scenario:
I put two sims;
SIM 1 for calls and text on 3G/2G auto connect
SIM2 for data on LTE/3G/2G auto connect mode.
SIM2 connects to 4G. Whenever there is a sudden burst of data on it, mobile networks on both SIMS disconnect and reconnect.

Prioritize Cellular over Wifi?

Hello everyone,
I have searched but have been unable to find an answer so I will ask the question
Is it possible to Prioritize a Cellular connection over a Wifi connection?
The main reason for this question is that we are running many Rugged android devices with a PTT application on them and when they connect to a buildings Wi-Fi network it can be congested and cause poor results. So we are looking to have the Android PTT devices connect primarily to Cellular and then when they drop Cellular signal as they head into a basement or a blackspot etc, it will search for a pre-configured Wi-Fi network and then connect it to until the Cellular network is available again.
Pretty much, we would like to know if its possible to get them to work in reverse. Prioritize Cellular over Wi-Fi rather than the default prioritize Wi-FI over Cellular.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Cheers.
