Clear status bar mod for SAUROM Rom
Backup your current framework-res.apk & SystemUI.apk before flashing just in case.
Also included my Wallpaper apk which takes the hassle out of resizing... although it won't fix our NON-scrollable wallpaper issues. [Edit] Wallpaper scrolling is now fixed, thanks DAGr8 (see SAUROM Roms)

Clear status bar mod is a flashable zip thru CWM
&
Wallpaper app should install just like any other app...
*UPDATE: This mod only seems to be working for those running ADW Launcher.*

The attached zip will give you Saurom's RC4 Rom framework and systemUI. All I did was make the status bar transparent. If you've themed it will overwrite your systemUI and framework back to Sauroms RC4 Rom. If you supply your framework-res.apk and your SystemUI.apk I can probably make yours transparent as well.

I would need a deodexed stock systemUI.apk in order to do that

I have been doing some tweaking to the graphics in my own systemui and framework files for Saurom RC4. Instead of uploading my files, can you identify the image files from your archive that I need to add to mine in order to achive the transparent status bar?

SystemUI/res/drawable-hdpi --> statusbar_background.9.png
And depending if you want or don't want the title bar shadow effect:
title_bar_shadow.9.png In both your SystemUI (same location as above) & Framework/res/drawable-hdpi & xhdpi
You must still decompile your SystemUI classes.dex via baksmali/smali in order to change some code in the StatusBarService.smali
and also decompile the SystemUI in order to edit the status_bar.xml
*Also in a side note I forgot to mention this in the OP, I'm pretty sure it must be run using a 3rd party launcher... I use ADW_ex and works perfect.
Image swapping I can handle but the smali editing is beyond me at this point. So if your offer still stands I'd like to send you my files to see what you can do (having trouble attaching to this post). And I do primarilly use go launcher.

Yeah I'll give it a shot. Which Rom are you using, I'll get the files
Correct me if I'm wrong but and theme changes from another theme for the systemui and framework, I can swap them(basic images and icons) from there to this one and it should still work?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
I think I understood....
you can do anything you wish to the apk's as far as themeing goes because the edits have already been done. So all you have to do is replace whatever images you want for your theme.
Just keep in mind not to replace the statusbar_background.9.png in the res/drawable-hdpi folder.
I too am on Saurom 4 so I guess I'll just take your base and re-do my theming changes to it, unless of course you have the same edits ready for Saurom 6
edit: I applied your posted package for a pre-test. I get transparent status bar in lock screen and notifications, but not on the desktop (be it twiz or go launcher). This is the same as I had on other captivate / SGS2 roms which attempted transparent status bar - could not get it working across the board.
Does it work on all three for you?
I have the same result. Lock screen works, but home screen is still the default one. I am on the RCVI version of Saurom. Maybe thats why?
Can you see about getting this working for the latest 3.2 version of saurom transfuzion theme please? definitely want a transparent topbar.

The first version i made of transfuzion (for saurom) actually had a clear status bar. It looks pretty good but only on dark backgrounds, so i took it out.

OK, did some investigating...
I tried Golauncher & LauncherPro and it doesn't seem to be working on those launchers. I couldn't find any settings in their preferences either for a 'wallpaper hack' similar to ADW_ex. I prefer and use ADW_ex and has always worked perfect. I'm pretty sure in the past on other devices this mod worked but guess not for the note... So sorry I'll update the OP that it only works on ADW launcher. Sorry for the confusion
When it shows up on the lockscreen then you know its working... but unfortunately some launchers blow it up

that's sad to hear in my part since I'm a Go Launcher EX user.
Yes definitely a downer. I have a valid ADW license but do not use it because I find Go Launcher more to my liking.
Also moved on too RC6 with ATT fix for what it's worth, RC4 is SO last week.

I've always ran ADW launchers... simple and fast. The others seem like bloatware to me but that's just personal preference. I've always ran clear status bars so I can't run a phone without one now, I'm spoiled
Anyway I already uploaded RC6 earlier today and just re-edited the post to simplify. So for I guess the few of us who run ADW enjoy.
Going forward I'm pretty sure its possible to just put these SystemUI's into future SAUROM updates.

Hopefully he will skin the 3g/e, mail and the other stock icons not yet skinned in the next update.
@talltexan no, best bet is to make a nandroid backup.
No there is not a stock... Im not gonna take the time to make a revert for every morph I make... just do a nandroid,
Or download NinjaMorph from the market

Ok, I used to theme my OG Droid, then discovered MIUI and didn't have to theme... then I got the rezound and that was locked down for a awhile..... so all in all, it's been a while since I've themed.
The system directories have changed a lot since froyo.... my question is, where are the icons located in the top bar if I wanted to change them?
I understand individual apps that have icons in the notification area all need to be themed in their each .apk's....
Are they in SystemUI.apk? Framework.apk?

Most are in SystemUI.apk, there are still a few in Framework and maybe in HTC Resource apk. Also I believe they should be in res/xdpi folder inside those apks.

Icon changer in Rom Toolbox doesn't work because the icons on the Rezound are xhdpi and Rom Toolbox writes to hdpi. So you could setup the change and then manually fix it I guess but I wouldn't bother. You still get low res graphics on a high res screen. I've already emailed Jrummy about this and he said he'll take it under advisement.

I have cooked the icons i want in the UOT but some of them dont work still and i have had quite a time figuring out which ones to swap out. the Sync animated icon from kalagas animated icons doesnt seem to work. Also would swapping out the resources change or break these icons. i took the resources from the semi transparent mod for ineffabilis deus and it seems to break my animated gps icon.
Sooo since CR 4.3 is out and nothing previous works i plan on redoing all of my personal stuff. since i dont want to clog up scotts thread i figured i would make my own. All are flashable zips
The mods in each post need to be flashed separately. For example, if you want the battery mod, the icons, the keyboard, and the transparent dock you must download and flash each mod separately.

I downloaded the battery icon and it looks great. Before I flash the wifi, signal etc, do you have a screen shot of those?

Yes... Thank you. I've been fiddling with it. Hard to see on the screen.
Aloha Warrior,
Cool work on red icon themes! Is it possible to do a white with red glow icon package for all icons like the 4 g icon? This would include the MMS in the same format if possible.

i can barely keep up with Clean ROM at this point lol....
i can show you how to do it though.
download what ever mod you want
open the zip and remove the file/s
take the drawable xhdpi folder from the res folder out and drop it in the bamf version of the same file using 7zip (ex. SystemUI)
using 7zip take your modified bamf systemUI and drop it in the flashable zip i made replacing my file
flash and enjoy

5/6 - Fixed theming on the "add credit card" page.
TransBluePhonesky3.5.16-rev3-signed.zip
4/30 - small tweak....updated to show all apps, regardles of dpi setting. Also by popular request, the auto update is killed. I've named it so that it will flash and properly replace for the latest Seraphim Collective release.
TransBluePhonesky-3.5.16-signed.zip
4/9-Updated to 3.5.16.
Took a while to get things sorted out where they look right (mostly) with ics. It's not quite as clean as my previous versions as there's some graphics I'd like to rework, but it's not too bad.
Same as usual, here's a zip to flash in recovery:
-->TransBlueGooglePlay3.5.16-signed.zip<--
...and if you want to go back, here's a zip with an unmodified market:
GooglePlay3.5.16-stock-signed.zip
Remember, my update script will place Vending.apk in you /system/app directory. So if you were updated from 3.5.15 you'll need to remove /data/app/com.android.vending-1.apk by uninstalling updates or removing via adb or root explorer. Also, I noticed that in the new ics rom they've called it Phonesky.apk when it's initially installed in /system/app. (The package name in the Manifest is still com.android.vending though)
3/29- added more xhdpi graphics
I know there's probably quite a few folks who are already aware of my themed market, but I know there's some who haven't seen it yet and since I'm rocking a Note these days I thought I should make a post here in our section.
This newest apk had more changes vs the last couple updates I've done, so there's definitely a chance I've missed some spots. I've tried to be pretty meticulous and theme as much as I possibly can in this apk. I think you'll find some unique aspects in my theme that you won't find in other apks.
*Because of the transparency, this looks best with darker wallpapers*
FLASH IN RECOVERY
TransBlueGooglePlay-3.5.15-signed.zip
If you wish to revert, here's the unmodified market, also in a recovery zip:
GooglePlay-3.5.15-stock-signed.zip
*Notes*
You must have had the market previously installed and have opened it at least once. This insures that the apk is fully installed and registered with the package manager. My themed apk WILL NOT install since I've reused the same signature. It can only be pushed in to replace an existing apk.
My update zips will copy the apk to your /system/app directory. If you've received any OTA updates for the market, you need to uninstall these via Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->All then scroll down to "Google Play Store" and select "uninstall updates."
Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks guys.
You're welcome to borrow some of my graphics as well if you'd like. One of my goals is to have this apk look the same on every device so I have it call local resources instead of system ones. I actually rebuild my frame-res with those elements so I can have the buttons/progressbar/progress_indeterminate/etc for all apps.
Thank you and yep, Link for stock is working now.

I had a quick look....maybe I missed it or something but it looked like you had 4 png's for progress indeterminate? Or were you referring to the process of how you themed it?

Oh, lol...I've actually been doing that for a while on progress_horizontal. But for indeterminate and progress spinners I've made a TON of pngs that I cycle pretty fast in the xml control file. Gives me pretty smooth animation. My batteries are 206 png's, lol. And my progress spinners emulate the full rotate feature that's only available in api 11 and up. It took a lot of png's to do that too, lol.
I've started going through my graphics and converting them to xhdpi...

39 to be exact. I only shift each png by one pixel.
The honeycomb progress spinners were a bit more work. When you look at the xml there's an inner and an outer loop that spin in opposite directions. And one loop goes through 1080 degrees to the other ones 720 (3:2 ratio). To achieve a nice smooth animation that follows the same 3:2 rotation ratio I ended up with 108 pngs....for each spinner size (I use 3 sizes in this apk)
So could this by any chance work on the Epic 4G Touch?
