Try clear cache/data on the app?
Have you tried to clear the app data and cache from the settings menu? If not go to settings> applications> manage applications> google play/market. Hopefully this will work for you. GL
Tried and failed

how about uninstalling the update back to Market and let it reinstall to Play Store.
Boot the phone into recovery and wipe the cache partition.

Damn, you tried everything mentioned and still no dice? Back up and do a factory wipe I guess. Sometimes its easier to just bite the bullet rather then screwing with it for days or weeks.
Yuppie had to bite the bullet hard.
Did a wipe now all good

All of a sudden on market.android.com it says I have no devices. Can't figure out why. I have tried clearing data from market app and signing out and back in on the browser site and nada. Anyone ever have this happen?
Try clearing the google services framework data as well. It's also inmanage applications. Reboot after clearing it.
Fingers crossed

Cleared cache and dalvik cache and siged into market on phone and all works fine. Just market.android.com doesn't work. Oh well really as long as I can download from phone it's not a HUGE deal. Just a slight annoyance.

No go on that either. No worries reading google help pages they are clueless and it seems to be semi-common. Maybe it will clear away in a day or two.
Go figure! It was my ROM! I've been using it for a while with no issues and now no dice. Reloaded a backup of a different ROM and it works fine now.
Force close Market, wipe cache and data, reopen Market. You should have the Music tab in your Market now.

Thanks. I just wiped cache, didn't need to wipe data.
No problem guys, glad I could help. I had to wipe data anyway, as I was having some serious market issues, good to know you only should have to wipe cache.
Didn't seem to work for me.
Stock, and 2.3.6 of the market app.

you seem to be from UK, you have to have:
1- marketenabler
2- USA VPN or tunnel connection
3- the steps mentioned above
I did these and the music tab comes. However, on next restart, when your VPN is not connected and you open Market, it falls back to non-Music Market. You can also try this link on your phone:
https://market.android.com/details?id=music_series_overview_theme_2011_10_29
(when clicked, select "Market" to open with.)
Worked, thanks.

Like i said in the other thread about this It's not a gurantee to work for everyone and only will work if ur phone already has dl'd the new market and its sitting in the background basically. Not everyone gets it at the same time and no matter how many times you clear data and such you won't get it till they send it to you less you dl the apk from here and push it urself n the system folder.

Running Unofficial rom and can't get Google play to work. Keep getting an instant fc with an immediate close of app. Tried uninstalling updates, removing apparently, reinstalling and still no go.
Any help would ne much appreciated

Try a set of GApps from here mate.
Make sure you pick a 'gb' one for gingerbread, or an 'ics' one for ICS. Grab the latest version just to be sure, and only install the Play Store apk as your others may break
Good luck
Under App Manager, clear all data and cache for both Google Play Store and Google Services Framework
Reboot into recovery and wipe cache and Dalvik.
May want to try to fix permissions if you still don't have any luck.

this also happen to me a few times and clearing cache and framework didn't fix it.
I resolved this by removing TB (probably already removed and you are trying to install back in). I then use RootExplorer to manually pushed the TB apk in system/app. Reboot phone. Once installed, go to G Play and update to newest version if you don't have it already.
Had to do another full wipe after just doing one this morning!

It's a known issue, sometimes it goes away, sometimes you gotta reload your rom completely.

That works temporarily, when the market auto update itself, it comes right back. Trust me, I tried
The guy above's post reminds me of a fix, wipe the cache of the apps, market, etc. Then log out of your google account, reboot, wipe them again then sign in back into your gmail account, should fix it.
He's right just remove your google account and add it again it should fix. Had this happen to me 2 days ago.
Hi everybody,

wipe device.
Since I updated, I have noticed that nothing was missing, not even Guest Mode.
The performance was good but a little lag but has always, I reseted the device to stop the bugs but I was planning on rooting the device but the bad news went up so yeah, some or most devices has no missing applications temporarily after the update.

Hi,
Did a system restore but the apps didn't show up. Then I manually downloaded r5a and did a restore from SD. Everything is OK now. Hopefully my scores in Pinball Heroes were not lost. But I'll have to re-program all the remotes again... is there a way to backup them?
Anyway, thanks!

The built in google restore only works when you install that corrosponding application again like for an example, a Email Client has been wiped off and Googe Restore has that data, you need to reinstall that application from the Play Store again (Will not work has an APK has that is not provided from the google servers) and then the application has that data back.
You can use Titanium Backup if you are rooted.

Pinball Heroes is part of the factory install so it didn't came from Play store!
The apps are still there under the apps folder
They weren't on the desktop, but I went to the apps and all those apps were there to be installed.

I know.
So anyway the Pro is that the data is backed up but the con is that you need to reinstall the applications from the play store after the wipe.
And when I say wipe I mean factory reset.
Yeah so bugs occur due to previous data so you need to factory reset.
So Pinball Heros..., Unfortunately has have what I have experienced, you cannot save that data without Titanium Backup.
